As mentioned in other reviews (and I was really hoping they were wrong) the place has a deep smell of feet when you first enter, but luckily the nose senses get overwhelmed and you get used to it after a little bit. Other than that, my first time rock-climbing was amazing! After signing our waiver forms, Christian (our instructor) came out and greeted us. He was friendly, helpful and remembered all our names in a really short time! He took us climbing walls starting with easy to medium to hard. He was very informative in what muscles we should be using, giving us tips (like keeping your arms straight as much as possible decrease fatigue), encouraging us, giving us breaks, etc.. He was very flexible in what difficulty in walls we wanted to climb and gave us tips on which rocks to use if we got stuck. We went through 4.5 walls in our 2 hours and my arms were spent. Good workout for your body and mind, to figure out the best path and determination to get to the top. Overall, super great experience and he was an amazing instructor! I would definitely climb and hang out here again!

My family went here for a birthday party for my niece (14) and her 5 cousins between the ages of 10-14. Many of these kids showed up excited for their first time go-karting. That excitement changed to hurt really fast. After a brief safety explanation given in a briefing room, the kids are told to get their helmets. The helmets are multi colored and despite a chart showing sizing, nothing made sense. When asking a staff member for help, the response was a direct aggressive yell saying "READ THE SIGN!!" This was followed by little to no explanation to the kids in the cars on how the cart operates especially concerning going in reverse if in trouble/or stuck, and instructed not to push a red button that has the words "PUSH" on it. What this led to was kids crashing very hard into walls and getting stuck, followed by the same staff member screaming at the top of his lungs at these children. Carts also were malfunctioning, surging, or not braking correctly. Massive safety issue worthy of anonymous Work Safe BC call which is on deck. Needless to say, despite for paying for two rounds, upset and crying children (plural) elected to leave after one race. I hope my lengthy review will entice you to try at least one and to let you friends and family members know. Of course, any events like these, please take safety precautions. From the outside, does not clearly say NINJA TAG, it says TAG, but the door says the entrance on the other side that says to use the new entrance around the West side of the building. When you enter you would be greeted by the front desk to fill out a paper waiver. Normally it would be a digital waiver on the screen, but the program isn't working at the time I went. One game is $10.00 and you have 10 minutes to complete the recorded game stats. But you can stay longer to just practice after your scheduled time. I stayed like 2 hours there and continuously played the different stations. They require you to purchase the non-slip socks that you wear when playing. It is an additional $3.00. And unfortunately you cannot wear your own non-slip socks from other events, it has to be the ones they provide. Plus they also get you to purchase a wristband which is another few dollars. Overall it was around $18.00 for this activity. The wristband can be reused, but I forgot to ask if you could reuse the same Ninja Tag socks. They have bins off to the side of the counter to store you clothes and shoes. For safety and security reasons, you can store your valuables like phone/keys/wallets behind their customer service desk. After playing for 2 hours, I found the stations fun and some challenging. Everything inside is very well lit with red and it feels like you are in a dangerous warzone of entertainment. The most fun station would have to be the very first station because you get to run up a sliding hill and the goal is to TAG with you wrist the colors. There are 5 levels of different colors and if I recall correctly, I was able to get to the 3rd color BLUE. Please make sure after you have tagged the color to go down the hill like a slide on your back and arms in the air or close to your chest. Avoid the elbows and knees touching the slippery floor, you can skin your human skin. I did this slide multiple times and skinned my right knee. It feels like a bruise but after a few days, my knee aches to walk. I have been applying Polysporin a medical cream every day to speed heal the skin. It seems to be working, but still very painful.

Who exactly is shaving in the hot tub? Some things are best left a mystery. I also like the authentic wooden sauna here, although it is kind of small. The best time to go is during one of the dollar swim or dollar skate sessions, although as you might expect, these are the busy times. But not too too busy, and probably the best little fitness deal in the city. (Harry Jerome is just near the top of the Upper Levels highway in North Van, so rather close, actually, for you brave bridge crossers.)

Our group was made of 4 people which was great, we didn't feel rushed. The whole tour is about 2 hours long so you have time to explore all the other activities at Grouse Mountain before or after your tour. If you buy the annual pass+, Ziplining is included so that makes it quiet affordable.

The surface is nicely textured to ensure grip in even wet weather. Lanes are clearly marked, and the surface is "pool table smooth". The best part is that if you need bathroom facilities, there is a nearby community centre, library, gas station and high school (if you are a student) to empty your bladder. If you are a running enthusiast looking to do some track work, Centennial Oval is a terrific spot.

There isn't too much that can be said about a track field where one goes to run. I had been going…read morehere most mornings in the fall/winter to train for a half marathon and this was the closest track to home. It is a surprisingly busy track in the mornings. There are the odd days where I wouldn't see anyone as it was cold and dark out but most days you would see the regulars who are out there most mornings doing their run. It is nice to see others out there being active at 6am and say good morning or hello as you run pass each other. The only downside to this track is there is very little light and the only light you do get out on the track is that from the side streets which makes it a lonely, dark cold run in the winter. On Saturday's this field is busy with people running, walking and boot camps. After running there a couple of times on the weekend I decided against it and just went to my favorite places, Colony Farm, Poco Trail and Burnaby Lake where I get to enjoy nature and get my run in at the same time.
