I have been going to this salon for seven years and have always been pleased. However, I had not…read morebeen in a few months and when I went there today I found that it had changed completely. They no longer carry any OPI or other polishes that I recognized. I had to pick a color for my gel mani off of a board with small chips on it. I asked, and was told that while they still have some OPI gel colors (in the back) not displayed at all, they will do them upon request if they have yours but will not display or reorder any polishes except the ones they are now promoting. The reason for this is that they are now "keeping up with the trends". I didn't recognize any of it and the polish I chose was so far off of my usual pale shade that I had to get him to grind most of it off and put another color on top. They are all very nice there however I probably will not go back due to this change being a bridge too far. If you don't mind starting over with trial and error until you find a shade you can stand, you will probably be ok. I won't be back because of this.

The location is a bit hidden so I'm not surprised many don't know about it. Each time I was there, the customers that came in were new and seemed to be referred by the hair salon next door. I've been there 3 times now and all were overall good experiences. Plus, they've had an ongoing 20% off special! The actual salon is new and clean. It includes beautiful chandeliers and quality, clean furniture. They have several mini refrigerators stocked with goodies - soda, water and juice! I can't recall if there is alcohol but I'm always good with a soda or water! The staff is welcoming and friendly. 2 out of 3 times I've been there, while my toes were being done my nails were being worked on. I really like this because my favorite part is the pedicure and about half way through my gel manicure, I'm ready to go. It's nice to be able to sit down for my nails and get to work! Their quality of work is really good. They listen to what I ask for and my nails and toes have always looked great and last 2 plus weeks. Like many nail businesses, weekends can be busy. I've gone on Sundays and only 1 of the times I had a bit of a wait between my mani and pedi. Highly recommend Mickey's!
