Ruben Colonia and his team did ~200ft of fencing for my front yard. It was easily the most professional experience I have had with contractors, ever: 1. They were on time, prompt with responding to calls and text messages 2. Ruben kept me informed of when the work would be done. His people were there unfailingly at the time they said they would be. 3. The work was completed with great attention to detail, on time, and with no fuss involved. 4. Besides quality and professionalism, the price was reasonable too. Colony Fence is definitely one of the best fence companies you can work with in the Westchester county and adjacent regions. I'd highly recommend them, and would happily serve as a reference if someone wants to look at the work they do. EDIT: He also voluntarily reminded me that he guarantees labor for 2 years and provided me the name of the supply company that provided the materials saying they provide a 20Y warranty. read more

Reuben from Colony Fencing is price list. We had our fence put in 8 years ago before we moved into our house. We are dog lovers and wanted no one to ever get lost. He put up a top quality fence which was great for our two dogs. Recently, we added a big female husky who is an escape artist. Reuben was right there almost immediately this past fall to put up extra height on the fence where needed. And, just today he was there again within 30 minutes of my calling, when we were frightened when our wonderful Husky dug a huge hole to get out into our frozen pond again. Reuben and his men put two huge rocks to fill up the hole and hopefully block her escape in the future. And then he adjusted the gate lock on the fence before he left. Anyone who uses this gentleman for fencing will never be sorry! read more

Fantastic work! We had our front steps completely rebuilt and needed new railings. Reuben came and provided a free estimate and an approximate time of when work could be done. The project turned out perfect and the new railings look beautiful. Highly recommend! read more

Great company to work with. The quote was provided in a timely manner and the work began when agreed upon. Their team was on time, bright and early, and completed the installation efficiently. They were able to accommodate our fencing special requests prioritized a clean look. read more

Just would like to start with this was the best working crew I have ever met. This company installed a fence for me and they were so professional and did their job quick. If you need a company that takes pride in their work then hire this company . The price was competitive and the quality of work unspeakable. They arrived on time and made sure everything looked as if they were never there. I definitely recommend this company and Mr Ruben was very professional and attentive to our needs . read more

Ruben was helpful and patient while I waited 10 months for a building permit to replace an existing fence. When they ran into a natural part of the fence line that presented a problem, he spent the extra manpower to make it right and it looks great. He was also reasonably priced and worked with me to make sure each night after they were done working but before it was finished, the fence was secure all around so the dogs could go out. Very happy I chose Colony fence. read more

Though it was initially difficult to get in contact with Colony Fence because they are busy,  Reuben and his team are 100% worth the wait. Reuben and Louise were incredibly helpful in assisting me with selection of fence materials, and provided great information about height, gates and lock options. Once our supplies arrived, Colony Fence installed our 1/2 acre property fence (a combination of decorative aluminum and chain link) beautifully within a mere 2 days. The quality of the materials and work are second to none. Do not hesitate to do business with Colony Fence. You will not be disappointed with the end result! read more

Ruben is a great guy and knows his stuff. He showed us several styles and provided much needed advice on things we never would have thought of. We wound up picking out a vinyl fence and it looks great while providing much needed privacy. Pricing was competitive and services were rendered as promised. As with any installation there is sometimes a need for the contractor to come back. Colony fence has been great making minor repairs when a huge storm system blew in last winter. Would definitely recommend Colony Fence! read more

Reuben came out to assess what I needed and gave me a fair estimate. When I asked him how quickly he could put up my fence, he said, right away and asked for a deposit. I asked when a was the exact date that he would be starting, he gave a date that was in 3 weeks! I asked why he told me it could be done immediately- I needed it done ASAP for a safety measure- and he was MIA and virtually unresponsive. Supremely unprofessional and did not truthfully give me honest answers- I'm so glad I didn't give him my deposit! read more

Very happy from beginning to end. Reuben came himself and on time and was always responsive; they got the required documents to the town board for my fence permit (which was required by my town); the guys who installed the fence were professional, worked hard to get it done and did a great job. My fence looks great and I could not be happier. read more

Ruben and his team are A++++ When Ruben came to do the estimate we were unsure what type of fence we wanted and what would look best in our unique space. Ruben gave us many great ideas. He was so professional, kind and knowledgable we ended up not getting any other estimates and hired him on the spot. He handled all of the back and forth, changes, and final installation with professionalism. The fence looks great, we would absolutely hire Ruben again! read more

Ruben has now completed two projects for me. At first he put in a white vinyl fence in my backyard which was a large job. Second he repaired a chain link fence at my mothers house. The workmanship and service are second to NONE. Ruben is a very honest trustworthy gentleman and his prices are competitive. A year after he installed my white vinyl fence I called him because one of the post caps was missing (I wanted to ask him where I can buy one as i was having trouble matching them at Home Depot and Lowes) He told me he was bringing one bye and will put it back on the fence for no charge. Again one of the many examples of great customer service. If you are looking to repair or install a new fence I highly recommend Ruben at Colony. Trust me he is the right guy for the job! read more

DO NOT WORK WITH. This company is run by an incredibly unprofessional and rude owner. I came as a very eager customer based on the reviews I read, and requested an appointment for them to visit my house and measure the property. I requested a time during my workday that I had a 1 hour window of a break. The time comes and goes, and I have to check in with them if they are on their way. They only then let me know that they were running close to 45 minutes behind. I wasn't able to wait that long because my break ended, so they told me when they could come later that same day, and I cleared another hour later of work to meet them. They AGAIN tell me they're going to be 45 minutes late. I let them know I was having second thoughts if this is the way they conduct business -- if they can't show up on time to basically the sales pitch for doing business with them, I'm not willing to wager that they'd be reliable as a crew on this project. The communication I had with the business owner was mind-blowingly rude on top of everything. read more

Excellent work, customer service, communication. Best price I could find for a chainlink fence installation.

I often recommend Colony Fence to my clients. Ruben is professional, honest, and prices his work fairly. His fences look great, and have lasted many years. Colony is pretty popular so lead times are a bit long, especially in spring when we have storms and everyone wants a new fence, but it's a reasonable time period. read more

So happy from beginning to end with Ruben. He was very professional, explained everything and explained all my options in detail. It was a pleasure working with him. I chose him based on reviews (and first meeting with him), and was very happy I did. read more

Colony installed black chain link fencing around most of our back yard in 2013. Prompt, neat, quick and clean. Beautiful job. In 2015, after a neighbor skidded on ice through our picket fence, Colony replaced the stretch of picket fencing, and an additional area so it would all match. Again, they responded quickly, did a great job on the installation. Highly recommend Colony Fence. Great job, great pricing, great value. read more

Pieces of the fence had snapped off, but Colony Fence was willing to come out and replace them quickly and without an extra charge.

Colony Fence is our only fence company. They're reliable. They're reasonable. Ruben is a wonderful owner and his workers are always the best. I would recommend them always. read more

We just moved to the area and needed some fence work done. Finding folks you can trust can be a challenge, as we look for contractors of all sorts. Colony is a GREAT find! The owner was very pleasant to work with, listened to my needs, and proposed a solution that was exactly what I was looking for. They showed up on time, they were neat, and the work that was done was EXCELLENT. The installers were methodical about their work, as well as able to meet their deadline. We are VERY PLEASED! read more

Due to the many positive reviews I decided to contract Colony Fence to replace a fence at my house . The day arrived I was told by Ruben his crew would arrive at 8:30 am and complete the job by the end of the day . Well at 10 am I tried to contact Ruben . Got a recording for another company and waited almost an hour for a reply . Seems Ruben was away and no one knew anything about my job . The gentlemen told me he would get back to me and after 2.5 hours I called back . Seems Ruben was AWOL. After calling my bank and checking to make sure I could cancel the deposit I finally heard a response . It was a screen shot "oops I think I made a mistake see if the guys can do it Monday . I consented . Monday the guys show up at 9:45 and ask me where the fence needs to be installed riding in a truck with another name on it . I have never been treated so poorly when I have spent this much money at anytime in my life . To top it off I was told Ruben would return today 4/2/19. Not even a call to apologize for the error . Never Again !!!!!!!!! read more
