Waited three weeks for my bedroom and bathroom door after moving in, not a huge deal, once they finally were installed the maintenance "professional" DESTROYED my door frame, it's actually split all the way down with the molding hanging off. Left the strike plate bowed out and the door there chipped because of it next to the handle. Also had the weather strip replaced on the front door but now it drags severely on the floor as you try and open it. The upstairs neighbors footsteps are louder than I've ever experienced. The 0 effort caulking around the base of the tub looks horrendous. Blinds are mismatched. Was under my standards on move in, grime everywhere. Appliances are outdated along with the cheap cabinets. Like another reviewer said, when the wind blows the wrong way it smells like manure in my apartment. Update- They sent the maintenance team back out to repair the door frame and the tub the next day, it looks better. They were very professional and apologetic about the issues stated and are working to resolve them. read more

Moved to Amarillo temporarily for work purposes and didn't tour but I should of, these are not luxury apts by any means and weren't in great condition when moving in. Management is a clown show and could have never expected to be treated the way I was. Would never allow that kind of incompetence or culture to take place at any of my businesses. I've lived in a couple ghetto places and I've lived in a really nice place. This is by no means luxury apts and it's definitely not worth the money. Our dishwasher has numerous issues, we had a pipe burst and they never fixed the ceiling 3 months and nothing. Our sinks drip constantly. The hot water runs out after 1 person showers so you have to wait forever for the next person to shower. If you take too long the hot water will run out during your shower even. Management is a pain in the a, lease breaking fee is 2x monthly rent which is crazy bc we left due to them not fixing our ceiling. Lost power twice took till the next day to get it back once and about 8 hrs the other time. Dog poop everywhere, don't walk in the grass. Parking is okay, absurd to get covered it's $60/month or garages I believe $85/month. Carpet is meh cheap, ice maker requires you to acquire a filtration system to use the ice. Fridge doesn't dispense water even with dispenser they leave it up to you to get the equipment and instal. Washer and dryer hook-ups. They don't have a deal with anyone about renting it's on your own not a huge deal but can be for some ppl. Windows are not well sealed wind cuts through easily and loads of ice will develop on either side (idk if the ice thing is normal never lived in a snowy place.) read more

If you're a Texan and you've never lived outside of Texas, this place is a 5/5. If you're from a state like California, this place is the best you'll find in Amarillo (but it's not close by any means to luxury apartments in California), so it's more of a 4/5 stars. The staff here are amazing, very polite, and extremely responsive! Maintenance is extremely fast, diligent, polite, and very caring. The grounds are extremely well kept but there are a few dog owners here who don't clean up after their pets despite the many pet waste disposal receptacles on the property (they even provide you with bags as well). The side of the complex that I live on is very quiet and parking isn't an issue. The apartments themselves have a decent floor plan that is more open than others I've seen in this area, they have plenty of windows that allow for a lot of natural lighting (which is lovely), but there isn't too much storage space in the 1 bedrooms. The kitchen has a very nice open layout that has enough counter space for everything from your food processor to your espresso machine. All of the appliances are new and we've never had an issue with any of them. If you're from another state here are a few things you may want to know: -They DO allow you to pay rent online! You can also submit maintenance tickets online as well and check your account balance etc. -One assigned parking spot does not come with your apartment. -They do not have tags/stickers for residents vehicles. -It does hail here from time to time and you can purchase a covered spot or garage. -There is a round-about in the front of the complex that the majority of people have no idea how to use and most residents go the WRONG WAY around it. -You will have to rent your own washer and dryer (fortunately, that's pretty cheap here). -It is a gated community. -The location of this apartment complex is ideal as it is close to numerous shopping centers, banks, a United grocery store, gas stations, and both major interstate highways. It's also 15 minutes away from Canyon. -This area is extremely dusty (because it's high desert), so having an air purifier is great! -The patio is a bit small and all of your neighbors can see you when you're out (it doesn't have privacy walls or anything like that). ----- I gave this place a 4/5 by the CA rating scale mainly because of the residents that like to go the wrong way around the round-about as they've nearly hit me head-on on numerous occasions, the windows are not energy efficient (so my electricity bill for ~800 sq. ft. in Texas is the same that it was for 1,400 sq. ft. in California), and you do not have one covered reserved space that comes with your apartment rental. read more

I am a doctor and have never been subjected to the classless lowest treatment I have received here. I moved in 6/2 and because of my work and their lazy hours and lack of a drop box I received an eviction notice on 9/4 a holiday week and after calling them arrived home 9/5 to a locked apt these people have too much money or no soul read more

I do not recommend the colonies on Hillside went to visit my friend you couldn't even hear the conversation for the party going on upstairs I then called the office and they told me more unless it was not their problem they were very rude and didn't care my friends have been there a couple weeks and have not got a good night sleep since they've been there because of parties going on all through the night on their Upper Floor definitely do not recommend these apartments staff does not care about their tenants read more

Going down hill & fast. Lived here several years ago when there was different maintenance guys, it was nicer back then. Now it's getting really ghetto. I lived there with my son for about 7 months and dog poop everywhere! Our porch light was out for about 5 months, & at least 3 things that were never fixed in our apartment that I went to the office and complained about over and over. You would think for the price you would have a non leaking dishwasher, a faucet that doesn't constantly run, and not clogged drains. The day we moved in our carpet was crunchy and smelled so bad. They finally came and replaced it after we moved all of our items in. Out upstairs neighbors were college kids (pot heads) that partied 24/7. They never do anything about the noise complaints, or about the dogs people don't have leashes or have no pet deposits. The last week we were there, the neighbors down from us were shouting and throwing beer and tacos everywhere. Definitely not a place for a child. So they also charge you for a clean apartment when you might be out. So glad we moved, and living peacefully at Remington. Nicer and cleaner place to live, & have your child at. & The maintenance people are so nice, no problems whatsoever moving in. read more
