Quite a peculiar store I stumbled upon in Mariposa, in the midst of CA-140 highway…read more Bling N Things is located next to historic John Trabucco building, which hosts the Mariposa Marketplace dealer shops with art, hand crafts, and other treasures. Bling N Things is in a two story old wooden building that used to be the 49er Club, where local folks could have an old fashion dinner and dance. It was Randy's 49er Pub, the oldest bar in town, where bikers are welcome, "Where good friends meet and smoking is allowed", that's how old it was. So country rock, shuffleboard, pool & darts were replaced by a unique boutique called Bling N Things. It has a little bit of everything. I saw some furniture in old Victorian style and a bed showcasing the linens and country quilts, throws, framed prints, paintings and other home decor. I saw collectibles and clothes, a collection of eclectic items, home and garden products, gifts, funny printed t-shirts, good for the laughs and memories, and finally, candies and truffles for sale, such as Oopsy Daisy - Coconut Salted Caramels, Darth Vegan - Black Coffee, Godfather with Rum, Blame Canada Dark Chocolate/Maple, Cowgirl - Salted Caramel, etc. If you have time, do check it out, you never know what kind of treasure you can find here. Worse case scenario, you'll leave with some candy and fun memories to keep that are yours alone.

The store has a very warm feel to it and even though the building on the outside looks old, it's more modern on the inside. Tammi was super nice and she was a pleasure to speak with.

Great, chill, service and sales people. Used Jake, professional and easy to work with. I'm a person…read morewho's going to ask alls sorts of questions people may never have heard before. I like detail and am generally well thought out. And I don't jump into things without doing my homework, taking my time. Jake was a natural fit and worlds better than the 2 other provider/distributers that I'd taken off of my list. I wanted the ability to use voice control with the fireplace and another location either lied or were misinformed when they told me that 'nobody carries that, think about how unsafe that would be.' Of course I didn't believe that and hit the web to see that Heat n' Glow DOES have that wi-fi/voice feature as an option. Of course you need the infrastructure which I already did since most of my lights, my thermostat already were and I used ECHO throughout my home. This I knew was going to be special.... The showroom is vast and they offer all sorts of other things here. The fireplace displays were helpful showing a range of models and features with lots of interior and front design options. The efficiency of the models and with other manufacturers was about the same, 73%. Keep in mind that an OPEN, wood burning fireplace is 80-90% INEFFICIENT. Oh, it's gonna be special... The 3K rebate only applies to one fireplace. My home has two large fireplaces and I decided to do the one in the room that get's used more. Makes sense, eh? The size of what I have in the house allowed me to get their largest insert offering the most viewable area. Special... Having named my home/property, "Moon Base Alpha" it was not surprise that I settled on the Cosmos 35" insert with the LEAST fancy, most modern front available. I'd jumped into reconfiguring the fireplace, modifying the brick work, refacing the structure myself and bought the tools to accomplish this task. While working on the hearth, I detected a gas leak in the shut off valve and bought a smaller Makita jackhammer to get to it. I mention this because IF you have an older home, YOU should check the valve as over time, they will leak... The day arrive when the install team consisting of 2 guys arrived. I found them to be easy to work with and detailed. I installed a custom, thick stainless steel chimney chase that I had manufactured and used Rock Wool under the chase to further lock out the elements. Had to be, special... The unit was installed and up and running in a couple of hours. I was left to deal with the 'voice control' set up which requires a application, tapping into your Amazon Echo account, linking up etc. For me, this was easy. 'cause I'm special... Needless to say, this upgrade did a lot for the 'base.' It looked so much better, was practical and tightened up the air flowing in and out of the open chimney. A big energy pig. Having the ability to wake up in the morning and tell the fireplace to start and walking out into a warm room after a shower is fantastic. Voice control is nothing less than sublime. And, to get a nice big 3k check back was pretty hard not to be grateful for. Prior to this upgrade, I would NEVER have used this fireplace. Now I'm using it all the time. And rather than heating up the whole base, 2350 sq ft, I'm just heating the large kitchen/second office area using a fraction of what I'd been forced to spend to heat the base earlier. Was, cha-ching, special.... I'm grateful for the resources to complete the just over 6k project, the skills to complete much of the work, the good people helping me to accomplish these goals and the enhancement of the base, the lower bills and the comfort. Life got better. Thank you Lord for this wonderful blessing, the remodel and the rebate! All good things come from you and I'm grateful! Please reach out to Jake and Central Distributing for any of your needs. IF you go to some of these other places, it's like a used car salesman/women assault! Did my homework and guys, this upgrade was special! -G

Went looking for a new oven. My daughter and I walked through the entire store looking at each and…read moreevery oven they had. Not once was I asked if I need help. When I finally went and asked for help, the salesman was almost delighted that they wouldn't be able to retrofit my needs because I wanted an oven that was 2 inches bigger. I was so disappointed at the service.

Malia of Graced Designs has been an amazing partner in making my restaurant dream come true. I…read morefound her here in Yelp and was hesitant since she does not have a review yet. I sent her a message and she replied in a matter of minutes. We set a meeting and the rest is history. Our restaurant is called Boba Silog located in Fresno, it is now open and operational with Malia's help. Through her I was connected with amazing people who helped with electrical, construction, HVAC, plants, etc. Malia understands my vision and she was able to deliver it on schedule and on budget. When faced with difficult situations, Malia was able to think outside of the box and comes up with solutions. She communicates well and explains the whole process. She is a great partner in such a stressful process.

At our initial meeting you said you COULD manage the project and that you had ideas of what contractors to use. The designs you came up with WERE beautiful. But during our second meeting when I had concerns about designs such as storage and open shower you were very dismissive. I wrote that email because I am always nice and respectful when working with others. I didn't want you to feel bad. But you forgot to include your reply and then the email I wrote responding about what changes I wanted made and you responded that we should move forward with someone else. You did say you could "redo the plans" but I did not have another $400 for that. Honestly, you have great ideas. And I have no problem paying for a service. I had an issue feeling like I wasn't being heard about the designs of my own bathroom. If someone wants to hire someone to do it all and they don't care about the result. You're the perfect person. If someone wants to have input about the project- they should go elsewhere

In my 3 years of using yelp, I have never created an account to review a company. I waited 2 weeks…read moreto see if the sentiment would fade, but it didn't and here I am sharing one of the greatest finds on yelp. I recently purchased a house in San Jose. One bathroom was made to be handicapped accessible. There was no shower enclosure, so water from the shower would hit everything from the toilet to the walls. There were also handrails along the walls, which added to the difficulty of adding an enclosure. I had a few quotes previous to Boyd. There was expensive quotes. There were also designs that didn't seem to make sense given the lack of space. In the end, I chose Boyd because of design knowledge, speed in installing (installed the same week as the quote, because it was standard materials), and price. Boyd came in, expressed opinions I thought were very useful (ie. which way the shower door should open), and also put to rest any questions I had about fitting or sizing of the shower (because of the 1/2" gap from handrail to window frame). He was always responsive when I called with any addition questions. On top of this, he also called back a week after installation to check up since he was in town.

I am a repeat customer always prompt and polite. Great customer service!…read more This time a little challenging to get a hold of them WRONG PHONE # listed in Ad Correct # 209-812-6312 (updated 6/17/20)
