I was traveling to a Wedding in Kiel, WI from Detroit MI with my retired police K9 Partner/MICKY…read more I needed a place to board MICKY for a couple days and also to give him the full "Doggie Spa" treatment. Needless to say as a veteran 18 year police K9 Handler, I am very picky and want only the best for my ol' partner, a 16 year old large Black Labrador/MICKY. I needed a place that is patient and kind to this old guy, who served me well searching for explosive odor at DTW Airport back in the day (2014-2018). Anyway, upon arrival I was greeted by hands-on Lucky Paws Owner/Stephine and she and her Team greeted Big MICKY with open arms. I could not have picked a better place for MICKY to stay at. Not only to stay at but be groomed at too. The bottom line, everyone I saw working at Lucky Paws had genuine kindness and a true sense of caring for not only MICKY but for every animal and owner that came into the store. I left there Friday morning knowing MICKY was in the best of hands. When I picked MICKY up Sunday morning, he was in great shape, spirits, and looked and smelled great. As far as cost, it's was money well worth spending for the outstanding services provided by Lucky Paws. This place is a no brainer, if you love your pet and you need boarding, grooming, and good piece of mind that your pet is in the best of care, Lucky Paws is the clear choice to house your pet. As a former Governor of California once said,"I'LL BE BACK!"...and I'll be back too .....to Lucky Paws in Two Rivers, WI when I come back for a Lions vs. Packers weekend.

I will never donate or do business with them again. I have had six or more Great Pyrenees (Pyr) dogs (I know the pros and cons). I have one now and we would like to add another to our family. I saw that The Sheboygan Humane Society had a Pyr that was up for adoption, so I spent the hour filling out their on line application. No one contacted me. So we went to the Sheboygan Humane Society to see the dog. I brought the family and our dog. We met the dog. Loved the dog. It's a Pyr. We asked if we could have our dog meet the shelter dog to make sure that they interacted well. They indicated that it would have to get approved and they would call us to set up a day and time. OK???? So.... we waited 4 days and no called us back. I left messages and finally they called me back and said that they would NOT allow the dog to go to a home that had other pets. This dog had been placed by the Humane Society four time and was returned by each family. The complaints of the previous owners were : Apparently, the dog does not like to be caged for 8 hours a day. It does not like cats and I don't like cats (smart dog). It barks. Pyrs Bark. It likes to stay outside (vs 8 hours in a cage). Seems one person, who has not met me, can determine I am not qualified. Is this the same person who place the dog in 4 homes of unqualified individuals?

They may be…read moregreat for locals, but I have been traveling to the EAA fly in with my service dog for the last three years. After a couple of weeks of travel, he needs to be washed (Standard Poodle). I keep his coat short so he usually just needs some water and soap. This is difficult for me in the RV, so I look for alternatives. I tried this place two years ago and found the self wash room to be filthy. There was long dog hairs all over the room and it had clearly been that way for some time. Fast forward two years later and I had forgotten about this place. They advertised a self wash on Yelp, so I thought I would check it out. When I got there I realized it was the same place. I then thought, it has been two years, maybe it would be cleaner. Not that it mattered, there was no other customers in the store, but I was told that self wash usage was booked out for a week. So, I am posting this to remind myself to not bother with this place ever again. I only need ten minutes of water to wash my dog. I had even brought my own towel, shampoo and conditioner for my boy. The main reason I look for a self wash is to not have to bend down, as my disability makes that difficult, thus the service dog.
