We continued to use Darcy Woo, but this last hair cut was the last ! The groomer even admitted she screwed up on her ears, boy she wasn't wrong! Then to top it off she picked up Maggie out of the coral she had her in and as she was turning around, she drop Maggie! Maggie landed on her flat on her belly! Ever since she's been home she's been hacking, and now started with seizures last night! I don't know what happened behind closed doors , but I hope the vet can answer some ?'s today when we bring her in today!

Booster is abrasive, manipulative, and extremely unpredictable. She told me she would have me as a groomer once I was trained and then later told me I was more useful as an assistant. This meant doing all of her work for her, almost completing full grooms sometimes but paid as an assistant and not a groomer, no sharing of tips happened when I would do 90% of the groom either. There is a revolving door here of employees and for good reason.

Needless to say as a veteran 18 year police K9 Handler, I am very picky and want only the best for my ol' partner, a 16 year old large Black Labrador/MICKY. I needed a place that is patient and kind to this old guy, who served me well searching for explosive odor at DTW Airport back in the day (2014-2018). Anyway, upon arrival I was greeted by hands-on Lucky Paws Owner/Stephine and she and her Team greeted Big MICKY with open arms. I could not have picked a better place for MICKY to stay at. Not only to stay at but be groomed at too. The bottom line, everyone I saw working at Lucky Paws had genuine kindness and a true sense of caring for not only MICKY but for every animal and owner that came into the store. I left there Friday morning knowing MICKY was in the best of hands. When I picked MICKY up Sunday morning, he was in great shape, spirits, and looked and smelled great. As far as cost, it's was money well worth spending for the outstanding services provided by Lucky Paws. This place is a no brainer, if you love your pet and you need boarding, grooming, and good piece of mind that your pet is in the best of care, Lucky Paws is the clear choice to house your pet. The only reason I went here was because I purchased a discounted certificate from Cub radio. When I…read moregot there I found the woman was operating out of her filthy basement, with her three little dogs running around, one of which I noticed lifted it's leg at least twice. The woman quoted me $42-50 for a cocker spaniel, and I informed her he was matted when making the appointment. Once she realized I had a certificate the price was $63. The more I look at it the more I find spots that she missed. I stayed the whole time to help hold my dog so there is no reason for her not being able to finish the job, and it seems very apparent to me that she charged me more because she was displeased that the radio station is still selling her discounted certificates.

I bought a bubble eye goldfish from Colonial Pet Shoppe in Manitowoc and a few days later he showed…read moresigns of ick. I started treatment immediately and went back to the store for a new filter. This is when I noticed the tank I bought my fish from was infested with ick and it was not quarantined. At home the ick spread in my tank despite my best efforts. Daily 20% water changes, daily treatment, removed the filter, and increased the water temperature. After a week of diligent treatment the ick did not budge. So today I found a new treatment. Unfortunately I came home to find more casualties. My tank of 5 baby fancy goldfish, 1 Cory cat, 2 snails and 7 guppies has been decimated. I'm now left with 1 snail. I 100% blame Colonial Pet Shoppe for their lack of animal care leading to this infestation. I will never buy fish from them again and I recommend you don't either. They also have a wide variety of lizards, reptiles, rodents, birds, and the occasional batch of ferrets, bunnies and kitties. Having three lizards myself: this is the cheapest place I have found for crickets, and it blows Petco's prices out of the water. Some of the other pet items are a little more pricey, but it's definitely worth it when you're supporting your local business-owner. :)
