I was traveling to a Wedding in Kiel, WI from Detroit MI with my retired police K9 Partner/MICKY…read more I needed a place to board MICKY for a couple days and also to give him the full "Doggie Spa" treatment. Needless to say as a veteran 18 year police K9 Handler, I am very picky and want only the best for my ol' partner, a 16 year old large Black Labrador/MICKY. I needed a place that is patient and kind to this old guy, who served me well searching for explosive odor at DTW Airport back in the day (2014-2018). Anyway, upon arrival I was greeted by hands-on Lucky Paws Owner/Stephine and she and her Team greeted Big MICKY with open arms. I could not have picked a better place for MICKY to stay at. Not only to stay at but be groomed at too. The bottom line, everyone I saw working at Lucky Paws had genuine kindness and a true sense of caring for not only MICKY but for every animal and owner that came into the store. I left there Friday morning knowing MICKY was in the best of hands. When I picked MICKY up Sunday morning, he was in great shape, spirits, and looked and smelled great. As far as cost, it's was money well worth spending for the outstanding services provided by Lucky Paws. This place is a no brainer, if you love your pet and you need boarding, grooming, and good piece of mind that your pet is in the best of care, Lucky Paws is the clear choice to house your pet. As a former Governor of California once said,"I'LL BE BACK!"...and I'll be back too .....to Lucky Paws in Two Rivers, WI when I come back for a Lions vs. Packers weekend.

The day I took her in, I had to sit in the waiting room and never got to see the vet until the end. Once again not the vet I requested.. Signed the paperwork they gave me with the understanding that they would try one thing and wait for the results and then move on to the next and I assumed it was the vet I requested.. If they would of waited for blood test results, they would of seen she had another UTI but they did x-rays instead. The vet who has treated her for other UTIs, not the vet I kept asking for, should of had a clue to what it was. The bill was $512 . I told them that I would pay for the entire bill except for the x-rays because I didn't feel they were needed and that I hadn't wanted the vet I got. Long story short, the vet told me if I didn't pay the entire bill that I wasn't welcome back and that my dog wouldn't get the meds she needed for her UTI. Go back never but I couldn't let my dog suffer any longer so I paid the entire bill. The vet is very cold and mechanical. Never again!!

I also had another dog which went there as well before passing away. I had a visit to bring in sample for an UTR which I think she had. Day after I get a call saying Dr. Gardner said my dog wasn't a good fit ! My dog is friendly and loves people and other animals , no use for vets without a reasonable explanation after years of me bringing my animals there even before she arrived ! I found a really good vet that is caring, very knowledgeable and loves my dog . So Vet clinic that said she didn't fit , best thing that happened to me as I would never let her alone there for any reason if a vet can turn a dog after she has a problem that needed to be addressed after an explanation like that for an animal that needed attention the day I had the appointment , and left me to try and find help for her in a day ! . Such a great clinic with Dr. Ryder there ! not anymore !!!!
