However, the front staff has ruined the practice. I remember a cheerful Andy and Chris, but the place has turned into a corporate Walmart. The staff at the desk can't say "Hello, how can I help you?" or "Just give me a minute and I'll be with you." No matter the number of people at the front desk (up to five at a time), their heads are down and they look at you as if you're a problem rather than a valued customer. They can't get simple directions right, such as telling a client their pet needs to fast for a procedure, wasting both doctor time and client time. Because of these issues, I have left the clinic to pursue a clinic that appreciates my business and cares for my pets.

We decided that calling someone in to do it in Spatz's favorite spot by the window where she'd doze off while watching the constant action at the bird feeders would be perfect. Dr. Beth was professional, explaining each part of the process beforehand and during it, asking permission between each step and giving us all the time we needed to process each one. While Spatz was whacked out on the sedative, Dr. Beth made a lovely casting of her paw print as a keepsake and offered to snip a lock of fur, which we declined to do. When she confirmed the deed was done, she expressed her condolences and discreetly slipped away to allow us to grieve privately as a family. Everything she did for us was perfect, and we're so grateful to have been able to give Spatz that one last gift of drifting away painlessly in her sleep with the assistance of a compassionate soul. It's a god-awful thing to have to say goodbye to someone that's a cherished part of your life, but I'm absolutely convinced that doing it at home is the most wonderful way to do it - both for your animal friend and for sparing yourself the agony of seeing how afraid they are at the clinic so soon before they go and being helpless to stop it.

Her lack of care and the tone of her voice with me/along with actually yelling at me over the phone about my potentially dying cat was absolutely mind blowing. If your place of work is with people and their animals you cannot treat people like that. ESP in times like this. I understand that this place has been going through a ton of changes, not enough help etc and I have been over -the -top patient in those situations. I was even late for work a few times because I wasn't taken for my appt on time. The issue seems to be (not that I'm condoning crappy treatment for this regardless) that I canceled two appts with more than enough notice because my cat was doing better with both treatments that I had picked up. Why would I still bring her in and cause her anxiety. The alleged "no show" that I was accused of can be described as I called days before and left a voicemail that I didn't need the appt anymore. My husband and I took our cat to this clinic for 10 years and it was fine for routine exams…read more However, once our cat had a medical issue we were no longer comfortable with their care. Two months ago we suspected something was wrong when Arthur lost a lot of weight and his litter box was very wet. We took him to the clinic, they took his blood and we waited. We called numerous times over the next week to get the results. When we finally got hold of the vet we learned Arthur was diabetic. They had us start Arthur on 2 units of insulin and come back to have his blood tested. Ultimately they said we should up his insulin to 5 units. They also recommended we change his food to a dry food with high carbs. After all this, Arthur became lethargic, had trouble walking up stairs, and clearly wasn't feeling well. We had to believe there would be better care somewhere else and a friend recommended a clinic with a good reputation for working with diabetic cats. The new clinic has made a big difference. They suggested a low carb wet food that is for diabetic cats. They pulled down his insulin to 4 units and gave advice on testing Arthur's blood at home to check his glucose level (which resulted in bringing him down to 3 units). Arthur appears to be feeling better with these changes.

Long story short, the vet told me if I didn't pay the entire bill that I wasn't welcome back and that my dog wouldn't get the meds she needed for her UTI. Go back never but I couldn't let my dog suffer any longer so I paid the entire bill. The vet is very cold and mechanical. Never again!!

I have found myself in that position several times. Unfortunately, there are no emergency veterinarian services in my area. BluePearl of Appleton is the closest one which is a 2 hour drive for me. Recently, my standard poodle, Jaxx, was suffering from symptoms of gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV) or what's commonly called "bloat". So, we took the two hour journey to BluePearl of Appleton and were greeted professionally and with concern and compassion. It was a Friday night and apparently a very busy night for them. A vet tech came out to greet us and address the health concerns of Jaxx. Jaxx was taken back to for a brief examination, followed by an x-ray which confirmed that he did have bloat. Dr. Chris Stretton explained to me the dire situation Jaxx was in and the procedure that was needed to correct the problem as well as risks and options. Dr. Stretton also explained to me that due to a staffing shortage and an overwhelming amount of patients on this particular night that I might have to self transport Jaxx to another emergency animal facility 87 miles away. However, he was very honest with me and said that this would be risky due to the short window of time that this procedure needed to be performed. In other words time was of the essence. They began to prep Jaxx for me to transport but due to Dr. Stretton's concerns and a consultation with another doctor...Dr Matthew Brock... they made the decision to go ahead with the procedure. Dr. Brock, as I later found out, was already working well beyond his scheduled shift yet he was willing to stay and do the surgery himself. Words cannot describe the emotional sigh of relief that came over me at that moment! All the staff at BluePearl of Appleton, in my experience, have gone above and beyond! The receptionist, vet-techs and Dr Brock and Dr. Stretton have shown exceptional compassion, and professionalism. Due to the experience and dedication of the team at BluePearl of Appleton, Jaxx's surgical procedure was successful and therefore life-saving! Gratitude to you all....THANK YOU!

I cannot say enough good things about Pet Wants Green Bay. Last fall we met Pat at the farmer…read moremarket, he was so full of information and willing to talk with us. Our dog Larry is a large Weimaraner/Mastiff with a silver coat. Since I have adopted him he has had skin issues. From 6 months old I was treating him with a skin infection, he was red and full of rash on his underbelly, months I did antibiotics and it still continued. I then switched his food to a well known brand from a local store. We saw improvement but really the hair on his back side never grew back and he would have flare ups all the time of rash and itching. Then we did rounds of weekly medicated baths, it really helped but it was a huge pain. Last fall we finally switched his food to the whitefish & duck from Pet Wants. Since then we have also got him allergy tested from our vet and found out he is allergic to grass . Since last fall we have been religious with giving him his meds (Benadryl & melatonin) morning and night along with his new food. He finally has fur!!!!!!! Along with no rashes, no more infections under his legs, and his fur is shiny and I haven't even given him a bath in a long time. It is such a relief as a person who has dealt with this for almost 5 years to finally see something help! He never has any issues transitioning to the food, I mean he's a 130lb big boy who loves food I wasn't worried about that. But Pat was great about giving us samples to test him with it to see how he did. Since Larry has been on his new food he is consuming less food then he had on past foods. The biggest thing for me with our experience with Pet Wants Green Bay is their customer service. Pat is wonderful to work with! He delivers the dog food right out our house, every batch of dog food has a hand written letter in it. Today we were leaving town for Memorial Day and I forgot to place my order this week so I placed my order this morning and within minutes I got a text that he would have it there by noon! It's not only good food but wonderful service! I would highly recommend to anybody looking for a good brand dog food for their pets!
