Money from large donations were put into sprucing up the common areas to attract new tenants. You are offered an inadequate continental breakfast 5 mornings a week. My loved one has been eating the same oatmeal and a half a bagel for years. There is a charge for eggs or pancakes. You also receive only 2 free dinners a month offered Monday through Thursday only. Kitchen help and food is from a Kosher Catering off sight service. My loved one has experienced abusive treatment by one of their servers twice. It was reported and this server remains employed. Food is very expensive and hit or miss. For what they charge you can do much much better elsewhere.

And when I asked Alexis (who thinks she is better then everyone else..worst customer service in my entire life) she spoke down to me. I own a business and would never have someone like her working for me. Months prior to all of this happening I had called and asked about a one bedroom and Alexis told me verbatim ..they had no one bedrooms available and Knollwood doesn't like to "downgrade" people. I later found out there were 2 one bedroom apartments available. I am now glad she forced me out, I bought a beautiful condo. I will detour anyone from moving into that complex.

What if there is a fire, then what?

My husband is a retired Veteran and done his time you'd think they keep a disabled veterans house cooled and not make him sleep in 75-80 discomfort in our unit. Thank you for showing how much you don't care about your tenants or vets. **** update went and talked to the manager this morning 4/40/18 9:45am I didn't think it was possible to look more disgusted by the fact that my husband is a disabled veteran but this lady did. My son has actual physical health problems and has been hospitalized by heat related medical issues which I have informed her of and she informed us that it is 50 degrees outside and that I understand but it is 75-80 in our apartment which fans and windows are not helping. She has said maintenance has been to our apartment which is a lie as we have been here all week and weekend. Also I have my phone by me and nobody has called me. I do online home schooling with my kids through the state and my 17 yr old is home when I am not ready to let mainetence in. So let's see poor communication with tenants and ignoring tenants phone calls. Claiming maintenance is by the apartment even when tenants are home. Blocks tenants from Facebook page because of bad reviews and gets mad about them. Btw Management I will be reporting you to the news if my son gets sick and in the hospital because of the 80 degree temperatures coming this week which would put inside our apartment at 85-90. ******update 2pm and maintenance has charged the AC but I have yet to receive a call back from management as to why our AC does not hold a charge and if they will be doing a full repair on the AC to our unit instead of just a patch job. I have called several times and left a voicemail and have been waiting since lunch for a callback.

Updated review: Overall good place to stay, but it's pretty pricey for apartment living in the area…read more- compares to condo pricing in the area. Pros: Complex is fairly new (built in 2017 I believe) and they recently built another building. They offer locker services for packages as of July 2019, although I keep getting errors when I try to set up my account. The apartments look amazing inside and have updated features for the most part. There's an outdoor pool area and small gym in the inside. Cons: 1. (January 2019) The lease signing process is a pure headache. The first apartment I came to see had cosmetic damage to the appliances and a counter door off the hinges, on the day I was supposed to sign my lease. When I asked about the options for appliances to be swapped out I was told the appliances would not be swapped for cosmetic damage because it's considered normal ware and tear. Due to the floor plan being an open floor plan that was unacceptable, but of course there were more expensive options available, but the Property Management team made no effort to honor the price for the original apartment I applied to. 2. (Updated July 2019) During the winter there was a few weeks where the trash situation got completely out of control - not only was it very dangerous to attempt to take out the trash because the ice in the walkway wasn't melted, but there was trash overflowing in the dumpsters for several days. 3. (Updated July 2019) These are outside apts so no elevator to get to the top level floors (3rd floor) and there's exactly 20 steps to get to each level, (so 40 steps to get to the 3rd floor) it's a pain carrying groceries for sure.

The prices are higher than others I looked at, but more than worth it for the newer apartments. Lots of nice amenities as well, and very helpful staff. Move in was fast and easy, and my one maintenance request was completed same day. Would rent again.

Having lived here for 4 years, I wish I could find *something* positive to say about the…read moremaintenance here. I can't. Last year, an upstairs leak, which resulted in a ceiling hole in my bathroom, took over half a year to be resolved- during which time a mold problem had started. While their contractor did finally stop the leak and repair the ceiling, that mold can still be smelled in my coat closet, which is adjacent to the bathroom (the cleanout hatch is located there). This should have been serviced immediately after being reported, but wasn't. At this writing (February 2025), the heat has gone out 6 times in a 3 week period. Repeated work requests for this issue have been closed out as "completed", and phone calls to the office were responded to with "we're waiting for a part". This repeated excuse makes one wonder if the "parts" are coming from Fisher Price. It should noted that my unit is in the same building as the Leasing Office, so one would think that having working heat in the building where potential future residents are applying for a lease MIGHT be a priority. Apparently not. The same building has NO working locks on the exterior doors, other than to the Leasing office. An intercom and buzzer system is in each apartment, but does nothing. If one is considering Waterford Square because of the pictures of the pool and hot tub on their web site, please be aware the pool has only opened in mid-July and closed VERY promptly on Labor Day since 2021. During that time period, the hot tub has never opened. Last year, the M. Shapiro company took over management of Waterford Square from Ressco, which gave a brief moment of hope to the residents here. Unfortunately, they have not re-trained, replaced or outsourced the existing staff, which they desperately need to do for any improvement to happen here. Apply and move here at your own risk.

Ever since they took over, it's been one problem after another. Most recently, management entered our unit and walked into our bedroom while we were half-dressed and asleep. Instead of apologizing for violating our privacy, we were yelled at. On several occasions, both maintenance and management have entered our unit without proper notice or permission. They're making all kinds of changes to the building with little to no communication, and almost none of them benefit the people who actually live here. Doors have been randomly restricted, maintenance is either a no-show or just lets themselves in without permission, and delivery drivers and guests can't get inside. The hallways are cluttered with broken appliances and garbage. The landscaping has been completely neglected. The list goes on and on. To make things even more frustrating, a venue called Batch 154 has moved into the building. Ceremonies are held on the third floor and receptions on the ground floor, which means tenants are forced to deal with weekly weddings and events where the music is so loud, it shakes our light fixtures for hours and cannot be drowned out. Guests of Batch 154 are extremely disruptive both inside and outside of the building, making tenants feel like intruders when simply trying to enter or exit their own homes. Trying to get help is a joke. Rhett Huyck, who supposedly works in their main office, never answers the phone or returns calls. The building manager, Shaniqua Johnson, is consistently rude, unhelpful, and defensive. She ignores tenant concerns, makes excuses, and seems determined to make life miserable for anyone living here. If their goal is to make tenants miserable enough to leave so they can raise the rent, they're doing a great job. We do not recommend living here any longer. Editing this review to inform anyone reading that we have now had so many instances of unlawful entries that we have had to file a police report. They are driving tenants out one by one and it is clear that this is their goal.

In the past 6 months, they have managed to make it a horrible place to live. I moved out after all of these years solely due to their negligence of the building and their disrespect towards tenants. Brandon Miller, Rhett, and Shaniqua have been rude and offer no assistance when asked about the problems they created. The carpets are filthy. The once beautiful landscaping that leads into the building is overgrown and unkempt. No one could get any deliveries for months so they installed a keypad and sent out the code to the entire building. So, there goes front door security that was needed. Batch 54 is part of the actual building. Every weekend there are weddings, parties on the roof, DJ's and bands, MANY guests coming in and out of the apartments to use the elevator to our roof. Guests gather outside (as wedding guests do) and talk loudly, sing, smoke. The problem is that is is literally in front of our windows and where we enter and exit the building. No matter how beautiful the actual lofts are, it is not worth dealing with the new management
