After four installation visits, they finished. Their field crew tried but the end result was lacking. The west edges of the peninsula and range counters are not parallel and look crooked. The overhang on the west edge adjacent to the range counter is 1-1/4" in front and 1-1/2" in the rear. They didn't caulk around the rangetop with uneven gaps on either side which I will fix. Counters had two large chips to be filled with epoxy. The right edge of the sink sticks in beyond the granite, the left is flush. The front counter edge projects forward of the sink on left and is flush on right side. The installers were tugging on the sink to move it and the face frame of the sink cabinet pulled off. Each time they returned I had to set out plywood counters and remove/replace the faucet. The worst part is the template guy said they would get the counter right on the sink edge when I suggested an overhang. He talked us into a straight counter edge instead of the D configuration we wanted and now the edges aren't parallel read more

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. Please head the warning of all the low star reviews of this company. This is truly the worst company I have ever worked with and they are not worth your time or energy. 1. The saleswoman cared about us until she had our money. With the load of issues we endured with this company once she had our money she told us she could not help us and to contact customer support. She sold us a counter that was incorrectly labeled as a different stone, had us running between the Wilmington and Philly locations trying to find a slab that we didn't even agree to purchasing. This woman's name is Jamie, do not trust her. 2. Once we found out we purchased a slab that was labeled incorrectly, we had to start from scratch and pick out a counter on the fly in the shop in Philadelphia. Luckily the did honor the original pricing. 3. The first time they came to install the sink hole was not correct. We were without a counter for about a month as they removed our counter and did not have anything to install. Finally they got it correct after 4 weeks and installed our now existing counter which is still wrong. 4. The counter installed has 2 different edge cuts. One straight edge and one 1/2 bullnose cut. So now after weeks of living with no kitchen, we now have a counter that does not match. Photos show this issue. Please please please do not give a dime to this company. They are nothing short of scammers leaving you thousands out of pocket with shotty work. I will never return my business to this establishment. Please consider going elsewhere for your countertop needs. This place is a total utter disaster and deserves 0 stars. The staff at the New Castle, De. location were helpful and thorough. They helped me pick the right granite and backsplash. It is clear they work on commission, because I had two people help me because the first salesperson I spoke to was not there when I came in to finish the order. The second salesperson needed to ask manager how handle this when writing up the order. It seemed to matter. I must also note that most of the people I spoke to at the company were nice except for one person that I spoke to at service department in King of Prussia. I called from 8 am until I reached someone at 10:30 on the day they were supposed to come install my backsplash. I expressed my frustration about calling all morning and not reaching anyone until 10:30 for an install that day, and the gentleman that answered the phone corrected me in a clearly annoyed tone that it was still early because it was only 10:30. At this point I am confident that the install that was supposed to happen that day is clearly not going to happen. It has been my experience that installers start earlier than 10:30. Four appointments were made the day of the sale. The template date, the install grant date, the remove backsplash date and the install backspash date. The template date went fine without a hitch. On the install granite day, they came on time and worked quickly but did not bring the sinks that were ordered. The installer told me they would be out the next day with the sinks. The next morning, I was expecting a call giving me a delivery window but didn't get one. I called service department and was told by the service technician that the installers are not authorized to give delivery windows and they would be out the NEXT day. I now have torn up walls, grantite counter tops and no sinks for two days. I should mention here that I used my own plumber to hook up sinks and had to rearrange plumbing hookup according to his schedule. The day of the install for the backsplash came and after not receiving a call for delivery window, I called and got the frustrated service technician. He had Ryan, the new tile manager call me back. Apparently, Ryan was new, and the old tile manger never ordered my tiles. It would now take 5-6 weeks to get the tiles I ordered. Ryan was very apologetic and went into action quickly. He picked another tile for me and long story short, sent me pictures so I could see tiles. I needed for this project to happen quickly and didn't have time to go to showroom. I need to mention Ryan was great. My original install date was Tuesday, and they had the new tiles installed that Friday. I do believe these tiles are smaller than what I originally ordered. I did request a refund of some of what I paid for job because they got all of their money up front, but the installs were problematic. Ryan couldn't help me with that. I knew salesperson wouldn't be any help either, because at this point, they seemed to only yes me, the times I did call them to complain about the issues with the install. I would have given colonial marble and granite a zero rating review if possible. They are grossly overpriced even after their 25% discount I found the same exact granite 50% lower. The New castle location started out fine and the sales person was very helpful and we moved forward with buying the counters from them. Started to go south when went to the main location to pick actual slabs and they were not welcoming or helpful (and found out that they knew our original selection was no longer available, but we were never notified). When we had the opportunity to approve the layout we got pictures - however, they were not of enough quality to show that the seam was very obvious on color variances. After installation our other contractor got cut on granite shards since the installer did not clean up well and he also noted the installer did not caulk completely under the counter. Sent several emails to sales person and got no response. Call the location and spoke with person and was told to send pics, which I did. 9 days later no response. Seems company wants to make sale, but not standing behind the work after they cash the check. There are other options to buy counters, I suggest strongly considering those options. read more

Technicians Elvis and Semual were professional, personable and did a stellar job. Everything fit perfectly and no obvious seams. The plumber, Justin, was also a delight to work with. He cam a day later to allow the silicone for the under mount sink to cure. Both days, the workers cleaned up and left everything spotless. To began with the wrong name and address was on our sales order. The only thing we could figure is that our sales rep picked up an older/partially filled out order form. It made us a little nervous when the details weren't taken care of upfront. Our main problem we had with Colonial was there seemed to be a disconnect between our sales rep and the company. Some of her promises were not followed through by the company. Such as: Promising a sink stopper as part of the entire package (including the facet and rack), at the time of installation the installer said it was't included, it was only after expressing our dissatisfaction, the installer - luckily - had one in his truck. She also stated in the sale that we wouldn't have to pay the entire bill (we paid half upfront) until we were happy with the final install. A few days before installation the main office emailed us saying that we would have to pay the bill in full before installation. Reluctantly we paid, only after her manager guaranteed our total satisfaction. It's a good thing since it took a 2nd installation before we had a good match at the seam. The 2nd install was scheduled for 5:00 pm, still waiting at 8 pm - I had to call the office to see if he was going to show and then found out that he wouldn't be here until around 9:30, so we rescheduled for the following day. And lastly, if you don't mind going to the King of Prussia store (main office) to view your actual counter (which I strongly suggest), the Delaware store has only display 'models'. Though, in the end, we were happy with our counter, but NOT happy with the service. read more

Overall we had a terrible experience with this company. We were not remodeling our whole kitchen just replacing the butcherblock countertop with granite. It took about 2 months from when I first walked into the Kop location. First, a creepy, condescending salesman who was so nasty I deliberately went back on his day off and requested a different person. Then you have to wait between 8am and 12pm for each worker to come to your house because they can not give you a more exact appointment time. ANd there was an installer who yelled at me endlessly about what was not his job (the butcherblock was bigger than the granite and so would not fit exactly but no one had told me this until they arrived to install. This guy wanted to lower my sink but that would have left a big gap to the backsplash. I sent them away and got a handyman to add a Sheet of plywood to raise the cabinet tops. Then the next installer came out and had a fit because the sink needed to be disconnected and removed to install the largest piece of granite, again no one had said until this point but at least they provided a plumber after some arguing. Finally the installer did not have any white caulk, so then we had to reschedule again to get someone with white caulk! So that was a total of four times I had to be home during a 4 hour window for them to send a worker. Oh and the final straw was they tried to charge me an extra $470 for helping my husband carry the old island top into our backyard! read more

Still waiting for someone to call me back. I've been rescheduled 3 times now and guaranteed the work would be done after the second time. Communication has almost come to a complete halt after a discussion with a very unprofessional employee (named Sean, he is despicable and should be fired immediately) and an e-mail asking for either my work to be done or my deposit returned.... I was called by their Pa. office and asked if anyone had contacted me, the nice lady kindly told me she would call me back in a half hour with a date for my install. My biggest complaint here is customer service. They do a good job making the sale then make it very hard to get anything done. The friendly sales reps become obstacles and point at the other departments for the problems. They continuously state what their policies are despite the wishes of the customer. The communication is awful and you have to be stubborn and pushy to get answers. They did a nice job on my granite except for minor issues. On the backsplash they put up a framed mosaic above my stove that was off center. It is as if I was was being too picky given their response. The whole project was around 8K so excuse me if I want it to be correct. The frame is visually off center and they are trying to rationalize it. read more

This is such a horrible business to deal with -- whether New Castle or King of Prussia. I ordered granite and backsplash on December 8. Granite was installed on January 8 -- all was beautiful. Then we had ot schedule backsplash installation. I went to look at the type of backsplash a few days before installation was to happen and noticed they ordered the wrong backsplash. I had gotten a sales rep who was on her first day -- the experienced sales rep took over inputting everything into the computer -- I never even thought to look at what he ordered (my bad on that part). So....5 weeks ago I went back, ordered the original backsplash I had picked out. I still cannot get an installation date. I have called, I have emailed -- no luck getting a date. I am so frustrated at this point -- ready to call the back and reverse the charges. read more

At first I was quite pleased, the choices of marble and subway tile were perfect. The person who came to measure the template was very professional. The backsplash installer was heaven. The marble countertop installer was clumsy - several machining marks and rough patches from installation. The service person sent to buff out these marks was rude and tried to say I caused the marks. One mark still remains unfixed. After 4 months, I still do not have the grid in the bottom of the sink even though it is a line item on the receipt. Repeated calls and emails just tell me it is on order. After spending several thousand dollars I would not recommend this company to anyone. The absolute WORST. I got several emails from a Brianna Trevino, who ASSURED me Colonial had the quartz I wanted. I asked if they had it even though it was discontinued and she stated that they did have it. My husband and I drove almost an hour to get there and had "an appointment" (which was confirmed so that we wouldn't have to wait once we got there). Needless to say, the showroom was EMPTY and they DID NOT HAVE THE QUARTZ I WANTED. She basically LIED to me. The whole place is a huge disappointment except the two women who actually work there. Our experience with Colonal Marble at the King of Prussia location started as a very positive experience. We picked granite that we loved and set up installation for 2 weeks later. After installation we noticed that the seam was very wide and it was done with a color that does not blend with our granite. We called and requested a technician to come out. The technician came and explained that the granite was cut wrong and therefore installed incorrectly. He said the only way for it to be fixed would be to rip out the slab. He took some pictures and said the customer service team would be in contact with us shortly. This was over 2 weeks ago. We have been playing phone tag, have had calls ignored, and absolutely no resolution. Not only were our counter tops done incorrectly, but they tried to get away with it. This is theft. Our next step is to report them to our credit card company for fraudulent activity. read more

Worst job ever. Put holes in our drywall. Bevells dont match at seems, sink put in with 2 pieces of would drilled through our new cupboards. We were to have 1 1/2 inch overhang it goes from 3/4 to 1 inch. Stove doesnt fit back in, and they scratched it. Now they try to patch everything. DO NOT RECOMMEND. If I could do zero stars, I would. I went in because they had a special on quartz countertops. I have a very small galley kitchen so it was perfect. It took about 5 minutes for me to walk in and pick my counter. I then had to put a deposit down on it so while I spoke to woman who scheduled everything and took my payment, I advised her I wasn't positive about all of the measurements regarding the sink. She stated it was fine, the guy who came out would check that everything I was buying would fit (I was buying the sink from them too). But then I told her we were totally redoing the kitchen and there were no appliances in and she said I had to have my stove in before they would even measure. I don't know how many people want brand new appliances in when their kitchen is under construction but OK. I had all of my appliances in place and called to have someone come and do the measurements. He was able to be there on a weekend which was great. He said that my cabinets were not in straight and that I would need to then have a diagonal countertop so that the sink would look straight. We reluctantly agreed and our countertop was scheduled to be put in the following Saturday. The installers were scheduled to come between 12 and five but instead called me at nine in the morning to say they were 10 minutes away and coming now. I was at breakfast with my family. I left to let them in my house to only be told that the guy who measured for the countertop measured it too big. The installers also told me this wasn't the first time that the man who measured did it wrong. So I had to wait until the following Thursday for them to put in the correct countertop. That made me lose my plumber and my general contractor who is doing the backsplash in my new kitchen. So they came to install the new countertop that Thursday at the correct time however, The sink that I purchased through them was too deep for the plumbing. So the installer undid The plumbing work that my plumber did so that the sink would fit but it ended up being way too deep so I couldn't use it. When I reached out to them to see if there was a shallow option I was told there might be from years ago and they would have to see if it would fit my same cut. They sent me an email telling me that it wouldn't fit my same cut that I would have to reroute my plumbing to make it work but they were refunding me for the sink. So moral of the story, they hire people who don't know what they're doing and when they screw up they don't even at the least apologize. read more

In my opinion these people are completely inept; they don't act professional and do not show up when promised. They made an error when cutting the sink openings for our granite bathroom countertop and had to come back the next week with a new piece, which they also cut wrong. Finally, on the third try they got it right. We had different installers each time and I wasn't convinced all of them really knew what they were doing, one even thought he had to remove the bathroom door frame to install the granite, after a phone call to his headquarters he decided that he didn't have to after all. This was the same installer who was told he was only suppose to remove the vanity top, he didn't know he also had to install the new one until he called the main office. One installation appointment was scheduled between 3 and 6 pm, but we got a call at 4:30 saying they'd be there at 10 pm! We rescheduled it for the first thing the next morning, but despite their promise they went to another job before they arrived. I'm trying to say something nice about the company but with all the mistakes, missed appointments and gauged walls it's a challenge, all I can come up with is they have a nice selection, the plumber was a good guy and the the sales lady was nice. I think you should consider another company. read more
