No phone service in most of Letchworth, and no internet access also. If not for the free wifi at the Inn, we'd be lost in space! After a quick tour of the inn in which they also mentioned the future work to be done on another floor of the inn, we turned in hoping to take a hot shower after standing and walking all day in the hot sun. 2-3 mins no hot water in the shower. More time and still NO hot water. Opened the faucet in the sink for over 10 minutes and NO hot water. Went down to ask about it, and nobody was at the desk. No hot shower so went to sleep in a grimy skin. At least the bed was comfortable. There was a ceiling fan and this was the first ceiling fan I've ever seen outside a personal residence, and the blades were clean! But looking around, yes, the place is old and needs a lot of loving attention to detail, as there are scrapes, cracks and peeling something all over. There is dust everywhere and I am allergic to that everything. The hot water is nonexistent tho water pressure was good. Then we wondered IF the plumbing was lead! My wife went down twice for tea and after she left twice, the door popped open all by itself, apparently needing a strong pull to be sure it closes with a click. There is free wifi which helped us greatly in planning for the next day, and as we drove off, in helping us get not lost! We also thought the very light grab and go breakfast was a bit too light, and a nicer sit-down breakfast would have been appropriate, considering the cost of the room. I am sure if they give a bit more attention to the many details of the structure, a decent breakfast and overall the business itself, and the many many rooms, they just may enjoy more occupancy!!

Our room had a nice TV and workstation, the bed was comfy, the HVAC and Wi-Fi worked well, and the bath and shower were fine. Included breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage patties, home fries, a waffle machine, cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, bananas and apples, oatmeal, breads, and pastries. The only odd thing about our stay was the check-in process. The attendant wasn't very friendly and was so slow and silent while working on her computer, we feared that our reservation had vaporized and drifted away into cyberspace somewhere.

You should give me a full refund". And I left. I drove right by my next Hampton Inn reservation in Ohio 8 hours later. And drove straight home. The Hampton Inn in Geneseo to speak to "Stephanie" today inquiring about where my refund was. She asked what happened and I explained. She said " someone should have offered you another room ". I replied "If I'm packing my shit up, I'm only doing it once." She said, " Well I was going to give you a $50 refund but I'm not, because you're cussing at me!" I said " I sure hope you're recording this call, because I haven't cussed " at you" once! She said, " You said "If I'm packing my shit up, I'm only doing it once." I said" That is not cussing at you, I'm talking about packing my shit up!" She hung up on me. I'm done with Hampton Inn completely. They clearly can't make a repeat guest comfortable and I drive for a living. I'll be staying elsewhere.

One guest had her oatmeal spill in the microwave, but had to clean it up herself. The receptionist should have stationed herself in the breakfast area to make sure we had what we needed, cleaned up the spill, and kept extra supplies on hand. The Inn provides a list of restaurants. However, several were closed. The listed restaurant we went to had inferior food, and was insufficiently heated and lit. The guest room coffee tasted terrible, and should have been replaced. The breakfast coffee was hard to find. The Inn should make it easier to access. When I told the The Inn manager, she actually scolded me in the receptionist's presence. The Inn owners apologized, but said they wanted to prove to us that they were right and we were wrong. The Inn is clean and pretty, although somewhat overpriced. I would prefer to rate this place well. However, other reviews indicate that although poor customer service has been a problem at The Inn since 2018, the owners have done nothing to correct this.

To the point where my girlfriend's shoelaces were wet in the morning. Luckily she didn't have a bag on the floor.. Very loud creaky ceiling. I think most hotels use concrete floors but this one has wooden floors and between the footsteps and the creaking, it was hard to get to sleep. Could also easily hear voices from upstairs. While we were down at the pool, our key became demagnetized for some reason, and when my girlfriend went to the desk to get it reprogrammed, the lady, Darlene , gave her the third degree about asking for ID and everything which of course was in the room that we couldn't get into. And then finally reprogrammed the key but like it was a chore and she was doing us a favor. Handicap spots are on the side of the building but you have to wheel around to the main entrance because there's no cutout in the sidewalk to get up to the side entrance. Breakfast. I knew it was posted on the wall and they offered things like pancakes and bacon or omelets and bacon. But Saturdays and Sundays it's the exact same menu. Scrambled eggs and sausage links. You would think they would split that up. Mix it up for weekend travelers. Will not stay there again.

They are knowledgeable of the area as well as do not mind sharing any useful tips when exploring if needed, but ensure privacy is respected.
