When we opened the bathroom door, we found dirt in the corner along with what appeared to be droppings. Even more concerning, the bathroom trash had not been emptied from the previous guest, and there was a package of testosterone gel left behind. This immediately raised concerns about the cleanliness of the room and whether it had been properly serviced before our arrival. The rest of the room was acceptable but fairly ordinary. Nothing stood out as particularly good or bad--until it was time to sleep. The air conditioning unit made noise throughout the entire night, making it difficult to get a good night's rest. Thankfully, we were only staying for one night. Breakfast the next morning was okay, but it didn't compare to the breakfast buffet offerings at Hyatt Place. Vegetarian-friendly options were also fairly limited. At checkout, we showed the front desk associate photos of the bathroom conditions and a video of the noisy AC unit. While he was polite, he told us he couldn't do anything and suggested that we call back later to speak with the manager. In my opinion, it would have been better customer service to have the manager contact us directly rather than requiring us to initiate another call. The bright spot in this experience was the manager, who was very professional and understanding when we did speak with him. He ultimately refunded half the cost of our stay, which we appreciated and felt was a fair resolution. Overall, while the staff handled the situation appropriately once it reached management, the cleanliness and maintenance issues should never have occurred in the first place. Because of this experience, I would likely choose a different hotel the next time I'm passing through the area.

We dealt with front desk associate Carly who was so nice!!! We were placed on the first floor. Even though we were down the hall, it got pretty loud with foot traffic and hearing people on the floor and in the lobby area. Our room was just okay. The dresser was missing a drawer and I noticed bugs on towels in the bathroom. They have complimentary breakfast options but I was a bit turned off by the sign on the refrigerator addressing ants in the kitchen. I also didn't like the fact that many what seemed like mexican immigrants were coming from the outside to eat the hotel's breakfast. Why is this allowed? I was really turned off by that. The computer room only had a few computers and one of them (see pictured) weren't working. We enjoyed our stay in NY but we won't be staying at this hotel again. There are some major issues here that should be addressed if it hasn't already. Remodeling is needed.

It was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and even came with a large couch. Our king bed was very comfortable and clean. I usually take off the comforters everywhere I go because they creep me out but this one was very fluffy and "new" . I like sleeping with a lot of pillows and we had 6 on them on our bed! Although it was a little pricey because it was homecoming in Geneseo, I felt safe and secure and I was overall happy. They have a free breakfast in the morning from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and it is above average. They had a nice variety from make your own pancakes to cereal,yogurt, eggs and pretty good breakfast potatoes. Or you could choose from breakfast pastries, bagels, and English muffins. If I had to change something about the place I would put a bar in it lol but the bowling alley next door had one and it was a two minute walk. I don't plan on being in Geneseo again anytime soon, but if I am I would stay here again. They do offer government discounts except the weekend we were there because it was homecoming, so our room typically would have been a lot less.

When I made our room reservation online for our wedding stay, the total shown was $780. We paid a $330 deposit to reserve the room, leaving a remaining balance of $450. When we arrived, they even had trouble processing that remaining balance. My confirmation email and the printout from the front desk both clearly showed the exact same total price. Then, on the day we checked out, we were told they had made a mistake. Instead of honoring the confirmed reservation price that we had in writing, they said we owed AN ADDITIONAL $780 on top of the deposit we had already paid. They charged us anyway, despite us showing both pieces of documentation proving the agreed-upon total. Molly assured us she would "take care of it," but nothing was resolved. Now, the wedding... The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and our vendors were incredible. They are the reason our day is still memorable. Unfortunately, Molly's coordination was a huge disappointment. Despite having a detailed planning call beforehand and providing thorough information well in advance, she hadn't reviewed any of our plans until we arrived the night before the wedding. On the wedding day: - Chairs weren't set up correctly - The seating chart wasn't followed - Guest were seated at wrong tables, including husbands and wives being separated - Our music wasn't set up as planned - Molly never checked in with us throughout the day. She was there when I left the inn to walk down the aisle, and I never saw her again for the rest of the evening. We weren't asking for anything extravagant - just the plans we had carefully prepared to be followed. It felt like our wedding simply wasn't important enough for anyone to pay attention to the details. Thankfully, our family, friends, and amazing vendors made our wedding special despite the venue's lack of organization. But for the amount of money the venue charges, we expected professionalism, attention to detail, and someone who genuinely cared about making our day go smoothly. Instead, we were left dealing with billing issues and a wedding that required our guests and vendors to compensate for poor coordination. The property is beautiful, but the service and wedding coordination simply do not justify the price. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want a less stressful wedding experience.
