But my best story of Linders excellence is a recent trip with a very expensive heavy sweater (Faherty brand) to alter it in a practical way for me. The sweater was special in that my son gave to me so I love it and wanted to wear it but it was an over the head not a cardigan. I asked them to remove a visible water spot on a 100% cotton Jill sander men's topcoat. When I picked the garment up one week later, there was no visible improvement. They offered to try again and returned the garment to me one week later in a completely unwearable form: the entire back of the topcoat was covered with stains, evidently from a harsh cleaner used in treating it. The final indignity was that the original water stain wasn't even removed. The jacket was irreparably ruined and I had to toss it.
