Found Bumperdoc from yelp so I'm gonna end it on yelp. Called them on a Saturday afternoon to get a quote on my mini cooper for window tinting, headlight restoration, and a full car wax. Got quoted $295 for everything which was good and convenient because I can get everything done in one day. Asked if they were open Sunday but he said no and scheduled me on a Monday at 9 because it would take them 6-7 hrs for the job which was fine. So my husband and I came in on Monday as scheduled to drop off my car. He waited for at least 15-20 mins before someone helped him and they told him "Oh, the guy that does the tinting doesnt work on Monday" so why was I scheduled on Monday for? Recently I took in my S2000 to the Bumper Doc in Kearny Mesa to get dings removed and my headlights refinished. The staff is super friendly and gave me a quote in 5 minutes. I took my car in 2 days later and they took out 35 dings (!) and refinished my headlights in only one day! My car looks like it just came off the showroom floor! The price was very affordable, work was perfect, and the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. They even washed and detailed my car for me!! I had a bumper that was practically falling off and within minutes of walking in he had a really cheap replacement lined up for me! But, my car was broken into recently and the window was smashed so I called them to see if they could retint the new window. They hooked it up and I'm really happy with their service. I came here on Monday of this week and I totally forgot to check in! But I dropped off a set of four wheels to be fixed of curb rash. One needed to be straightened out. He gave me a great price after looking at the damages and assessed them. So he said I was to only pay for what needs to be done. I agreed and he rung it up. Good Shop I think because he listened to my boring sad story he just wanted me out of there lol. but when the wheels came back they came looking amazing. a bit on the steep end of pricey but if you want something done right you gotta pay the price. read more

After calling around, I found that not only are these guys' prices super reasonable, but they went above and beyond with my car. They had to fabricate an inner bit for my front bumper, and had to warm and bend the heck out of it to make the new one fit (I was cheap when I bought the aftermarket replacement). I initially chose Bumper Doc for window tinting on my Volvo and my GF's brand new Altima because of a Groupon but their reviews backed them up as a good choice for tinting. We were able to schedule both our cars for the same day. We dropped off one car in the morning and exchanged cars in the afternoon. The first car was done close to the quoted time and the second car was there waiting for us when we went to pick it up. So, I think I can safely give this place a five star review. It has been exactly three years since they tinted the windows on my car, and I have not seen one bubble or corner peeling yet! They did an amazing job! This was my first time having a car's windows tinted, so I had no idea that there were varying degrees of tint. I actually wanted them a little darker than what I got, and I still got them slightly darker than the "legal" shade. Go ahead, officer. Cuff me now. I was just worried about the whole "too dark to be legal" thing. I'm thinking it's not that big of a deal. I had a great experience here last Friday. I came early in the morning with a scratched up passenger-side front bumper in need of attention. The bumper had two large scratches that needed painting, the front part of the bumper was starting to come off, and there was a black piece hanging down from the bottom of the bumper. I got hit on my front bumper a while back. Not knowing where to go to get it fixed since i was new to San Diego, I checked online and found Bumper Doc. All the reviews were very positive, and even my insurance company recommended them, so I took my car there to get it fixed. Everyone there was very professional and helpful. The most important thing, is that the job they did was awesome! My bumper and the side panel look brand new after they fixed it! Having such great experience before, I took my new car to them yesterday to get it tinted. Brandon whom I spoke with on the phone while I made the appointment, greeted me when I came into office. I had no clue what I wanted in terms of the degree of shades, he patiently walked me through the differences; he even took me all over the parking lot, showing me examples of cars tinted with difference percentage of shades. BumperDoc fixes way more than bumpers. I clipped the side of my garage and damaged the plastic housing on my side view mirror. The dealer said I had to replace the whole unit, which was going to run $850 for parts, labor and camera calibration. My independent repair shop agreed. Eddie at BumperDoc said he thought the plastic housing could be ordered separate and called a different dealer. Eddie was correct.
