When leaving they said it was a $15 co-pay and $75 for an infraction. Was under impression it was totally covered by my healthcare. Could not review paperwork given to me due to my eyes had been dilated. Once home I called my insurance company and was told EVERYTHING was covered as this was a regular eye exam. The Eye Associated had coded it as a Medical eye exam. Days later when I checked their appointment person they default all appointments to Medical! To make matters worse, when I looked at their future appointment and $15 and $75 receipt, they applied everything to another patient with the same last name as mine! (A HIPPA violation I am sure) still trying to straighten everything out!

My husband was told his exam would be covered by insurance. After the exam, he was told everything…read morewas done. Then, he received a bill for $147.31. I had made an appointment myself and was told insurance would cover my cost. When I got into the chair, the tech told me I would end up paying $200. She told me it is common for people to told their cost would be covered, then they get a bill. She was nice enough to let me know ahead of time, and I left without getting the exam.
