I called Dr. Kosanovich's (Dr. Tad) office, and the secretary at the desk was so extremely kind and helpful. She let me come in as a walk-in, and after waiting about 70 minutes, Tad came out and saw me. Wow, this guy is a legend; they truly don't make them like this anymore, do they? He is extremely professional and thorough. When people talk about customer service in the good old days, this is what they are referring to. The people in this city have no idea how lucky they are to have someone like him. In most cities, it is almost impossible to find this kind of service. If you are reading this review, this guy is the best you will find. 100% see him. Regardless if they take your insurance or not. I paid out of pocket. I didn't care. I have the receipt and they ordered them again but I had to pay addition fee $275. After I got them and went into my car they didn't work and I rerun them because my car is a new card and the glasses don't work w/ my cars tinted windows so I returned them. Now they refuse to give me back my $275.oo I paid for them. And sent me a nasty letter they are not sound business. They gave me a refund but it was for the original pair amount not the second pair. But now they refused to pay me my refund amount and the difference between the first pair and second pair. The correct payment of $275. which I have a receipt that I paid! Buyer Beware! I want to add that the receptionist was the rudest person I have ever met in the 30 yrs I lived here in Fla. They refused to give me a receipt for the return glasses and was so nasty like the other reviewer stated in her review giving her 1 star lowest rating! I totally agree with her. I never met the doctor they refused to have her call me.... It was the staff that was extremely nasty & wouldn't give me my $275. Back after I returned the glasses the same day she gave them to me! Dr Wendy you sighed the nasty letter but never called me to find out what went on with your rude employees! The ppl who pay you were never given the opportunity to explain the situation to you. And you just accepted the word of your incompetent help. I still have not received my refund for glasses that were not accepted and returned!!! You owe me $275.00 respectfully waiting for the opportunity what went on in your office! Just so you have been informed. A copy of this review is being sent to my surgeon that recommended you!

I am writing this review as a service to anyone looking for an eye Doctor in Englewood Fl…read more I went to K & K Eye center for my yearly eye exam, as I had gone there last year. The exam itself was uneventful and I was checking out and they told me I had met my deductible for the year and only owed $40.00. I paid the $40.00 without any dispute and left. It was on a Friday and they close at 3:00. I went home and looked on my evidence of coverage and it clearly stated that my eye exams were fully covered for $0.00. I waited till they opened today and called. The person answering the phone informed me that they found out Friday that they shouldn't have charged me. They did not call me on Friday or today to tell me they made a mistake. I was told they would have a Dr. refund my payment when they came in. The receptionist was rude and disrespectful and never once apologized for the mistake. She was unprofessional and rude. I told her that I was going to find a different Dr for next years exam, and she said that was a good idea, and hung up. I called back to speak to the office manager and got a recording. I left a voicemail asking for someone to call me back and didn't hear from them till 2:40 this afternoon. I spoke to Dr. Eugenides who seemed defensive from the start. I told him what I was told by the person who I spoke to earlier and he said he would check with them. He also looked up my insurance info and personally told me I should not have been charged. He also said that patients are not always truthful when they don't like what they are told. I continued to tell him that I was told by their employee , I wasn't making anything up. He got increasingly agitated and began yelling at me through the phone. He continued to cut me off in mid sentence and wouldn't let me explain what happened. I was never given a copy of my prescription for lenses. If you are looking for a reasonable Eye Dr. I would definitely not recommend K & K Eye Center in Englewood.

I have VSP for me and my husband (who is also on Medicare but no vision insurance. This becomes relevant later on.) My exam was fine, dr was nice and they told me I had the start of a cataract that just needed to be monitored. I pay for the $39 retina scan not covered by insurance that I agreed to. Fast forward to this week and my husband (who has Medicare Part G and is on MY vision insurance) has his exam with the $39 retina scan. He and the dr talked about his dry eyes (that he DOES NOT take any meds for other than OTC stuff). She said she could write a prescription if he wanted her to and he declined. She said he had the start of a cataract and that it needed to be monitored (sound familiar?). Said "he did not need a lens prescription, just use readers". Same exam, same diagnosis as mine. His vision is better than mine as a matter of fact. He gets to the front desk, and they charge him the $39 and then proceeds to tell him he owes $220 because the exam became MEDICAL?!?! Where did it become medical on his when mine wasn't? He argued but finally just gave his debit card to pay (#1 mistake. I would have walked out and said bill me!). They KNEW he had the G plan, so they will be committing Medicare fraud by billing them AND receiving pay from us. I will be filing a complaint on that. Julie didn't bother to return my call, so I had to call them again just to listen to her lie to me again. "He has SEVERE dry eye syndrome (no he doesn't, he rarely uses eye drops anymore), he had a "freckle" in his eye (so what?), he has a cataract that impedes his vision (no he doesn't and if he did why did the dr say he didn't need a prescription or refer him to an ophthalmologist?) They are unscrupulous and I would not do business with them ever again. I will be posting to all social media sites as well and will contact the BBB along with Medicare.
