Have I contacted them multiple times? Yes. And in all of that time, there is maybe a span of a few months where the route is switched up and then they're back here way too early. The other company might cost more, but at least their trucks don't rumble through until at least 7 AM. If I had the budget I'd switch just based on that. I support local as often as I can, but when local businesses treat me like crap, it's tough to support them. Aside from that, they're what you'd expect from a trash company.

I've resulted to name calling in this review I am sorry... The problem started back up in September and it is now December. And nothing has changed.. Their drivers are incompetent. I have Left multiple messages With ava's waste removal complaining that their Truck drivers keep leaving the trash can directly behind my truck in my driveway. You might say, why are you leaving it directly behind your truck in your driveway right? I am not ! we are purposefully leaving it almost on our neighbors property fifteen feet away to the left . Or if it's on a nice day the night before then we bring it out 20 feet the opposite way. BUT It'll still end up directly behind my truck which is in my driveway... The nice lady who answers the phone told me last time that There's a note in the computer that pops up when the trash driver comes to my house to pick up our trash. Apparently they don't know how to read. I'm over it. I never had this issue with any other trash service. The only reason I left republic was because I was getting a discount for combining my trash and recycling but then I found out that they were putting recycling in the same truck as the trash. So we're paying extra money for recycling. But it's going to the same place as the trash and not getting separated blah, blah, whatever. So then we started with Ava's and they were doing well. In a whole year they would leave the trash can behind our truck once. Now it is every single week. I don't know if anyone knows this, but to replace A trash can costs a lot of money. They just won't throw you a new trashcan for free if you run it over because of their incompetence- They will charge you. I don't understand why I am paying for a service that I have to call and complain about every week.. Again, the ladies who answer the phone are excellent. They're very polite, They try to help you out any way shape or form they can. But the idiots who are driving the trucks and picking up the trash need to watch a video on how to do their job again. Did I mention how I've gone around my neighborhood to see if it was just my house that they were doing this to? Well it is and I did. Never in a million years did I think i'd be that lady driving around my neighborhood Taking pictures of where my neighbors trash cans were placed. Well guess what? None of them have their trash cans anywhere near their driveway. I'm over it. They couldn't even do it for 1 week after I complained. I'm not going to leave pictures On here because it shows my home. It shows my address and my vehicle. I don't want retaliation from the people who give it. 5 Stars to come to my house and start Messenger with other stuff. Because that stuff happens because people are crazy. Evas has photos because I have sent them photos. Photos of my house and all of my neighbors that have ava's waste removal as their trash service.. And how only my trash can is in my driveway. Nobody else is trash cans anywhere near any of their vehicles or their driveway.

Their trash men won't even roll the can back into it's place, they will even leave it in the middle of your driveway. One time my neighbor left a mattress by her can and they picked it up. I left a plastic bumper by mine and they just kicked it out of the way. So the next week I shoved it in the can and filled it up with trash to make sure they took it. Also, if it snows they don't pick up your trash, but they sure as hell don't give you any money back. Plus the billing cycle is 3 months, but they send the bill a week or two before it's due.We found a new company (Monster, I think) that is HALF the price.

They were to get a 24 ft truck and instead, 2 16 ft trucks arrived. The movers reassured them that the items they packed would be sure to fit in a 24 ft truck. Alas, AFTER the trucks arrived in Indy, my dad got a call that their items would not all fit and asked him what things they could remove to donate. My dad had to then decide on a few things and agreed to get rid of a bookshelf, 2 chairs, and a long ladder, that he was hoping to keep, but had no choice since the truck was already in Indy. They also forced him to pay an additional $900 to keep other times that weren't going to fit, but he didn't want to give away. If he had wanted to keep all of his items, then he would have had to pay an additional $1500. If they had originally showed up in Columbus with the correct sized truck, all of this could have been avoided. The move story gets worse. When their items arrived at their new home a few weeks later, over $3000 worth of items were missing that they never consented to them throwing out, including two coffee tables, a queen bed, 4 chairs, and other boxes of items. Some items have been in the family for many decades and we will never get them back. My dad has sent multiple emails but still hasn't heard back. Very disappointing and made an emotional move even more heartbreaking. Edited to respond to your comment: Of course you don't have an account with my name, my parents used your company. We have been with them for about 4 months now and they have picked up our trash roughly 8 times, even though they are being paid to do it every week. The first time they stopped picking up was because they were sending the bills to the wrong address (and being that the bills go through our corporate office, we didn't know the address was wrong). Once that was fixed they just stopped showing up for about 3 weeks at a time. We have had to leave several messages each time, and are promised each time it would be taken care of that same day, but every time it strings out further and further.

It was a struggle every week and there were many weeks we did not get either of our two dumpsters emptied. Promises were made and never fulfilled, even in trying to upgrade our service, they would not accommodate us. WM just wasn't interested in servicing our location and eventually I found out why. We shopped around and checked every other trash collection company in the Indianapolis metro area. It wasn't until I saw Jack's driving down our rural road close to Centerton regularly that I thought we might have found a company willing to work with us when many other companies were not. As it turned out, a neighboring business down the street had switched to them a few weeks prior to us beginning our service. We previously had a three yard dumpster and a two yard dumpster. We wanted one four yard dumpster and wanted it emptied once a week. Jack's accommodated us and has regularly emptied it each week now for a month. So far we are very happy with Jack's. Our brand new dumpster has four lids instead of the usual two or one. Four works much better and the price per month is cheaper than ALL of the other companies. It was a little bit of a struggle getting service started but after speaking with our driver I understand why. WM does not want rural business, therefore Jack's is picking up all the rural business they are leaving behind plus the customers leaving WM, so they are busier than usual but are able to make the necessary adjustments to service their existing customers as well as bring on new ones. We never had a problem with Ray's until WM bought them out. We had the same guys every week. Now with Jack's, it is the same thing again, with the same guys each week. That says a lot about the company. It means their employees are being paid well enough to stay and Jack's hired good people so that don't call off work too much. Plus it is a local company, not some corporate conglomerate that is only interested in the big contracts. When we call them we get the office in Greencastle, not a call center in California as with WM.
