I was nervous about making such a big transition, but the teachers and students were absolutely amazing and so kind, welcoming, and supportive. She transitioned so beautifully, and we immediately felt like we were part of the St. Joseph family. I love this school so much that I now have two children attending, and soon we'll have our third joining as well! The sense of family, community, and belonging here is more than I could have ever hoped for. From Mrs. A who is the principal and office staff Elizabeth and Danielle to the teachers, room parents, and everyone in between, we have felt so welcomed and supported. I also absolutely love the way Father Geoffrey engages with the children during Mass. Mass is not just something the kids sit through, it's engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable for them. Father Geoffrey often visits the school and attends school events, which really helps strengthen that wonderful sense of community. We are so grateful we found St. Joseph Catholic School. Throughout our years at the school, our children have had caring and attentive teachers who genuinely seem invested in their students and their well-being. We have always felt that our kids were safe, cared for, and known by their teachers, and they have been happy during their time here. Like any school, no experience is going to be perfect, and there have certainly been small things along the way that we may have handled differently. But whenever we have had a concern, we have felt comfortable communicating with the teachers and school and have found them receptive. The PTA and admin staff hold events for the community to come together including academic nights, community potlucks and movie nights. Since this is a TK-8 school the students get to stay on the same campus making the transition to middle school a breeze. Stewart is a true gem in Pinole!
