Called about a leaking system and I already identified a 3x3 square that the leak was probably from. Took the EE 2 hours to locate and fix. When I asked if the system was good for the season, was told I only have 2 hours and didn't look at anything else but should be good and not leaking. I turned on full system later that afternoon and had multiple gushers from drip lines around the house. (I'm sure the neighbors enjoy the new water features in the neighborhood.) A big shout out to Collin County Sprinkler and their guy Daniel. He's always on-time and ready to provide a solution to the problems we've had. He raised and adjusted all of our sprinkler heads after we installed a new lawn, found and repaired a couple of leaks, added some heads in hard-to-reach spots, and added some tiny spray nozzles to our raised garden planters. Pricey without any customer service to make you feel like you got something for the hefty price you paid.. They act more like they are doing you a favor. Technician was rude and left a huge mess. Unfortunately my wife paid him before i saw the mess he left behind. His excuse was the ran would wash it away in a couple of days. The reality is I had to shovel the 60 lbs. of mud and use a power washer to clean up the staining clay mud he dug up. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

I had a very strange encounter with a technician at this company. It was very unprofessional and quite unbelievable. I contacted management and they did eventually finish the work I was charged for. It took them three trips but they got it done. I have no reason to believe the work was not quality, only time will tell, but the unprofessional actions of one individual makes this a bad review. read more

I wish I had read these reviews before calling this company. Repaired my drip with the wrong size fittings. Repaired 2 of the 3 they 'fixed' with the correct size fittings after calling them back out and then management refused to repair the 3rd until I installed a pressure regulator. Called the original installer to complete the repair and everything is working fine. The kicker is the original installer said I already had a pressure regulator! read more

Beware and be careful. We called for sprinkler service and were NOT told that there is a $120 charge just for showing up at your door. Turns out there was nothing wrong with our sprinklers. No leaks, just a low spot in the yard that looks wet. So, there was no work performed and no parts used. Yet, we were charged $120, for nothing. Very shady business practice. Garland Neighbors! Don't let the name "Collin County Sprinkler" mislead you into thinking that this sprinkler company does not cover Garland. Despite their name, they actually cover the entire metroplex. I have used several of the sprinkler companies recommended on Nextdoor, but Collin County Sprinkler, by far, outshines them all. Reliability is paramount for me and this company answers their phone! An appointment for repairs was scheduled a few days out and the techs showed up on time. Michael and Matt were very professional, efficient, and quickly assessed the problems I was having with our sprinkler system. Without padding their time or repair needs, they raised, adjusted, and straightened 12 heads, replaced a leaking rotor, and reprogrammed my system taking into account the location and slope of the various sections of my lawn. The cost was only $247.00 which is less than I usually pay without the superior service. I highly recommend this outstanding company! read more

We had these guys out to repair our sprinkler head that was leaking. After they "repaired it", it was leaking again within days. We called them and they told us no problem, came back out and fixed the issue again... and then charged us an additional $120 for fixing it a second time. They clearly don't stand by their work and charge your credit card at will once it's on file, even if the reason they have to come back to your house is their own fault. Horrible integrity and we will never use them again. read more

Called CCS to come out to review the existing sprinkler system in a house we purchased. Had to walk behind the two employees and point out all the non-working heads after they had completed their "repairs". Had to have their warranty repair come out three times to fix problems from their work (the warranty person was actually good and can't fault his work). After spending over $700 dollars half of the sprinkler heads do not even pop up or cover the yard. Do not use this company as they cannot perform basic work as professionals. read more

They came out to replace some sprinkler heads and charged me for 20 head replacements. I only counted 12 heads and they charged me 2 hours of labor. It was ridiculously expensive $465. They were supposed to come between 9-11am but came to my door around 8 am and called me at 7:50am without giving me enough time to get ready. Their work is sloppy and careless and I have to show the guy where the problem heads are since he had overlook it. Overall, their quality of work does not justify what they charged. Collin County Sprinkler performed work at the residence we purchased on 1/27/16 to bring the sprinkler system in to full operation. They performed $614 worth of work which included: a new controller, 5 pop-ups with nozzles, 5 new nozzles, and 2 nipples. When the system was turned on for the first time after the repairs nearly all the sprinkler heads in the front yard would not retract after deactivation. Two of the sprinkler heads are below ground level, and one sprinkler head does not work at all. I called the owner of the company who then declined to rectify the situation. I told him I would be filing complaints against his business as a result of his non-action to fix his repairs. He then proceeded to scream and cuss me over the phone read more

This was the biggest scam. I will make sure folks will hear about this. Spent $400 for them to come out and split two wires only after asking me before coming out a second time that if I would dig up a 6 inch trench on my patio about 6 feet long it would save them time next time they came out. ( so it would not cost as much) The second time coming out he tell's me we didn't need to dig because they missed the spot and laughed and didn't offer to clean up. On top of this they lost my face plate for my sprinkler system. Terrible service! read more

Highly recommend NOT USING this business. We were referred to this company by our landscaper. When I called, I spoke with Sheri who sent out one of their workers out on Thursday (7/21). They fixed 3 zones of our sprinkler that were not working. On Monday (7/25), we noticed that one of the zones that had been repaired had stopped working again. So, on Tuesday (7/26) I called and left a message letting them know one of the zones had stopped working. I did not receive a return call so, I called back on Wednesday (7/27) and they sent out the same worker the next morning. I explained to him that the zone he'd previously repaired had stopped working. So, he went to work on fixing it again. Once completed, he rang our doorbell and handed me a bill. I asked why the bill as they'd just been out to repair the same zone a week ago. He asked for my invoice from the prior week, so I presented it to him. He said he would have Sheri call me. Once he left, I called and left a message for Sheri to call me. She called me and I explained what had happened and didn't feel I should be charged for labor but was happy to pay for parts (as sometimes you get a faulty part) as they'd just been out a week earlier to fix the same zone. She said that anything could've happened in a week when running the sprinklers. I asked her if they warrantied their work and she had no response. My husband called and spoke with her as well and she was very rude to him too. So much so as to tell him that she needed to get off the phone before she said something she'd regret. They finally did agree that we'd pay 1/2 the labor charge and for the part; but then, I received a charge for the full amount on my credit card today. This business is so shoddy, I am telling everyone not to use them and letting our landscaper know that he may want to stop referring them to clients. read more

Don't use this company! Had them put in French drains that didn't work. Water still kept coming back towards house. They then did a minimal repair job and still had problems. Had to fix it myself. Then found out they cut sprinkler wires when they dug to put in drain. Spoke to Sherri. She was short and sarcastic. No refund was ever offered. read more

CCS installed a drip system in my flower bed and around my foundation in July 2015. I noticed uneven water distribution (dry in some areas and very wet in others) and called CCS out 3 or 4 times over the course of the 12 month warranty period to address. Their warranty guy Ruben (who is very nice and responsive) came out each time and tried to make adjustments but it did not diagnose or resolve the problem. In November of 2015 I finally paid another irrigation company to diagnose the problem and learned that the system was not installed with proper pressure regulation. Rather than installing a pressure regulator valve that will regulate the entire system, CCS used a single (and I may have incorrect terminology) "retro head" pressure regulator that is installed where a pop up head used to be but requires multiple retro heads for a system the size of mine. I asked the CCS warranty person how many retro head valves it would take to properly regulate my system and he said 3-4. Again, mine only has one. So I paid the other irrigation company to install a pressure regulator valve. However, because CCS did not use the correct pressure regulator to begin with, the emitters in the drip line have expanded, resulting in further uneven water distribution. The only solution to resolve this is to lay all new drip line. I left a message for the owner, Steve Campbell, on 11/30/15, 12/7/15 and again today (12/8/15) and have not received a call. I did receive a call today (12/8/15) from Justin, the CCS salesperson who sold the system, and was told they would do no further work on the system because we are now past the 12 month warranty. I explained that I understand that I'm passed the warranty period however because this issue is the result of them installing a system with improper pressure regulation and that I have been trying to resolve it from the beginning and over the warranty period, that the 12 months should not be relevant. This isn't the result of something wearing out...their product was defective from the beginning. I've already spent over $300 diagnosing the problem and having the proper pressure regulator installed. Now I'm going to have to pay another irrigation company to remove all the drip line and re-install so the $1,600 paid to CCS was a complete waste. read more

I would not recommend Collin County Sprinkler company to anyone for installation services. They do have a good sprinkler repair technician whose name of Rueben, who has fixed several sprinkler issues for us already, but they are incompetent with installations. Collin County Sprinkler installed both sprinklers and sod for us in April-2015, and I am still trying to get them to come back and fix the damage they caused to my lawn. I have sent emails and called the office, but the owner (Steve) has not called me since I paid for their "services". They ignored explicit instructions I had given them and made numerous mistakes. First, when they left after the initial install, they had covered my water meter completely with sod and I had to re-locate it and remove the sod. Second, when trenching during the install, they cut through an underground 4 inch drain hose after I explicitly showed them where it was located and asked them to be careful. They claimed to repair the hose, but now that drain hose for the rain gutter backs up with any heavy rain storm. Third, after trenching and then installing the sprinkler lines, they neglected to back fill the trenches properly and tamp down the soil, and now over one year later and no calls returned, I have already purchased almost 3000 pounds of dirt to fill the trenches that were improperly backfilled. Before I filled the trench lines you could clearly see where the lines were installed, with sunken areas in the lawn up to 3 inches deep in many places all along the trench lanes. Fourth, I explicitly told the owner and crew leader to not place any sod behind the shed and to only install sod up to the existing sod near the northwest area of my lawn and to leave that existing sod as is. Then I had to leave for about 3 hours during the installation process, and when I returned, I noticed that they had completely ignored me and actually installed new sod right over the top of existing sod. I found out later that this has created a dam effect in my back yard and now I have drainage problems that I never had before. When I asked why they had installed the sod over existing good lawn, the crew leader said they do it all the time, and that it would be OK. A few days later when the sprinkler expert returned to check and test the install job, I asked him why the sod was placed over good sod and that I wanted it removed, he advised that it was already rooting and I should leave it as is to see if it caused any problems. With the first heavy rain about a week after the install, I noticed the entire west side of my yard severely flooded, up on the AC unit a few inches, and nearly to the weep holes in the house, and that is when I began trying to contact the owner to fix the issues. Over a year has passed now and I have sent emails and attached pictures of the problems and he still has not even called. read more
