This place isn't huge,…read moreso if somebody had already planned a company picnic or family reunion or something of the sorts, there isn't going to be a lot of spare space for others. That being said, this park, albeit somewhat primitive (just not fancy), is really nice. The grounds keepers do a nice job keeping up with the mowing and pruning. The path on the far side of the park leads down to the water and gives you a great vantage point of where the North and South Umpqua rivers run together prior to becoming the Umpqua and heading out to the pacific ocean. The setting here provided for some nice back drops for some pictures with family. Unless you are planning a picnic or something your trip here probably won't take exceptionally long, but it's well worth the few minute drive to get here and check it out.

Sadly the resevoir was shockingly low and what would have normally been nearby water views were limited. Our campsite had water and power and everything worked well for the entire stay. There are two dump stations near the entrance. When the park is full I suspect the dump station could get crowded. There are playgrounds for the kids in between the major campground areas. Restrooms and showers were decent. It's a well maintained campground especially for a public one.

This is a day use park and there's a boat ramp in the lower parking lot. Speaking of parking lots there is a ton of parking space. You can bring your leashes pups here, heck bring the whole family! Big open fields, tall trees and picnic tables makes this place perfect for an afternoon in the sun. You can swim here but there are only a couple spots where you can access the water and they are a bit rocky. They have bathrooms here and there's a little trail that walks around one side of the reservoir. Sometimes I miss the turn from the main road but just remember when you're coming from Eugene it's right after Elijah Bristow State Park.

There are several trails of varying lengths around the marsh and streams running off the Willamette river. There are wheelchair accessible picnic areas and bathrooms. Some of the trails look even and compact enough for wheelchairs but we didn't venture down any this time. I would definitely come back here again for some trail walking, biking, fishing and wildlife watching. There are heron and turtle here.

Even at the start of winter the pond and ducks are a relaxing and calm sight to see. I imagine in the spring when everything is in foliage, it's more crowded. Still didn't see any restrooms. Only had a short time to explore, but look forward to seeing the many hiking trails it offers.
