We have had a great experience with College Fund Landscaping! They are reliable and show up every week when they're supposed to, and our yard always looks amazing when they're finished. The guys who come out to service our property are always friendly, professional, and do a great job. One of the things I especially love about this company is their commitment to giving back to the community. They provide college scholarships every year, which I think is such an awesome and meaningful way to support local students and families. Great service, great people, and a company that truly gives back. I would definitely recommend College Fund Landscaping read more

BEWARE -- WATCH YOUR INVOICES AND SERVICES CLOSELY I started using this company back in August after seeing their crews frequently working in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, my experience since then has been extremely disappointing. I have been charged multiple times for services that, based on what I can personally verify, were not completed as stated. I have cameras around my property, so I am able to see when crews arrive, how long they are at my home, and what work is actually performed. For example, I have been charged for tree trimming when I cannot see where the trees were trimmed. I have also been charged for pulling weeds from my flower beds, yet my son and I have been the ones pulling those weeds ourselves. My biggest concern is that the charges and descriptions on my invoices simply do not appear to match the work I am seeing performed at my property. Based on my personal experience, I do not recommend this company. If you currently use them, I strongly suggest reviewing your invoices carefully, documenting the condition of your property, and verifying that every service you are being charged for was actually completed. I expected to pay for professional lawn and landscaping services--not to repeatedly question whether I was being billed for work that was actually performed. read more

Updated review for College Fund Landscaping. We have been using them for several years. Appears we got some disease going on in front yard. Due to good ole HOA, we had to get College Fund to replace some sod in problem area of our front yard. At 1st, everything seemed going better. We had yard meticulously cared for, from watering (on our part) to keeping weeds and such out of yard. Then we started noticing issues again, although smaller, still needed areas fixed. Chris honored their satellite guarantee. Their team promptly fixed the bare spot issues, completely transforming our lawn into one of the better looking, healthy yards on our block! Thank you & Again, Highly recommend College Fund Landscaping for your yard treatment, maintenance or transformation. read more

I have been using their service for over 6 months now and the quality is awful. I regret switching to them. I requested that after they mow to just use the edger. They continue to use the trimmer around the lawn edges and it looks awful. They are trimming it down very short around the edge of the lawn instead of just using the edger. read more

College fund has all the services you need for your yard rolled into one company. Their rates are competitive and they deliver great value.

I am leaving a one star review because this company litters my neighborhood with their garbage advertisements. As supposed lawn care specialists, do you take into account how much wind we get in Plano? Next time you are waking up toddlers from their mid day nap by making my dogs bark because you can't seem to figure out marketing, take a little stop on the bridge on Parkhaven and see all of your flyers that have blown into the water along with all of the other great businesses that seem to have me in their best interests. read more

College Fund Landscaping (CFL) is a great company. Their work at our home has been consistent and the quality is exceptional. In addition to mowing and weeding, CFL has done irrigation and a planting project to replace all of the landscape affected by the freeze. Excellent work ethic and honest. read more

I highly recommend CFL. They are very responsive and have been great so far. I found college fund landscaping from a referral on here and I felt compelled to share my experience with everyone. I highly highly recommend them to anyone!! We hired them for regular lawn maintenance as well as some serious shrub and tree removal and help. They are so very accommodating, easy to work with and wow.... their pricing is better than I've seen in a while. Especially for what we have had done so far. As happy as I am with their lawn maintenance, I was blown away buy their shrub and tree work and pricing. I had 2 relatively small trees cut down, 10 shrubs pulled, everything shaped and trimmed and they did exactly what I wanted and more. And again - the pricing was wonderful. read more

Update!! I posted the review below before the owner called me and rescheduled it and corrected it. The still skipped my courtyard and just do the back yard but at least that was done. :) I scheduled them yesterday to come out today to mow my front and backyard including my courtyard. My husband left the gate locked and took the key so they would have been unable to get to the courtyard and backyard. I called first thing this morning to see about a possible reschedule. A woman called me back and stated that I have to give 24 hours notice for a cancellation! I scheduled it not even 24 hours ago and just needed a reschedule, not a cancellation. She was unwilling to do a partial charge since my front yard is extremely small (zero lot). She said she emailed me a contract??? I didn't sign anything nor did I receive an email. She said I would be contacted by the dispatcher after 12 when he got in. It's 1:36 pm now and I am just annoyed with this company due to this woman who doesn't understand how to work with a first time customer!!! read more

College Fund Landscaping, is NOT the company that will with you. Matt Davis, the owner was great at first, but when I needed additional work to my yard, he was NOT so willing. I tried multiple times to contact Matt and asked him to come out to the house so we could discuss some of the ideas I wanted to incorporate in my back yard, all I ever got back from him were emails, never a phone call. In other words, he never came out to my house after the first initial meeting. Then, we needed to have some sprinkler heads moved in the back yard, Matt did have someone named Patrick who I think works with Matt Davis contact me to move them, but, when we told Matt that we thought that the quote was a little more than we wanted to pay, I immediately got an email from Matt, saying he was going to release me from my contract. Ask yourself, is this the kind of frustration you need in your life..... read more

College Fund Landscaping has done a very good job for us. We appreciate both their reliable service and affordable rates.

We had our small backyard sodded by CFL in March 2017. Total cost was around 1500. It is now August and we are dissapointed in the way the yard has come in. You can still see the lines were the sod never grew together. Thinning on half the yard as well as browning throughout. We have done everything that new sod requires and when we contacted the owner on mutiple occasions, he wanted to CHARGE us to fix what he said was diseased grass from the very beginning. He also wanted to charge us for another pallet if we wanted them to replace the grass. Very poor business practice by trying to nickel and dime the small home owner. Just beacuse we didnt pay 15,000 doesnt mean we arent just as important. The bigger companies arent always the best. If youre looking for sod installation, i would take your business someplace else. I am totally satisfied with College Fund Landscaping. They do an excellent job with the lawn and shrub trimming. I recommend them to anyone who wants the best service at the best price. They are honest, dependable, and very clean and neat: before, during, and after the final clean up with my entire lawn and all of my shrubs in the front, back, and sides. I rate them 100% ALL STARS!!! Sincerely, James Buchanon 08-22-18 read more
