Amy had adorable pet photos in her room and told me all about her fur babies. Amy did such a thorough job with my teeth cleaning. She was so thoughtful to hand me chapstick to keep my lips moist throughout the cleaning. She gave a detailed explanation of what she was doing and told me of any teeth that needed extra attention or might need some repairs soon. Once she was completed with my cleaning Dr. Marsh checked her work. He is very kind and personable. One thing to note is that he is a perfectionist. He will often want to fix cosmetic related things with your teeth, and is honest if it is necessary dental work or just aesthetic. I got a groove in my tooth filled on based on his recommendation that not only will my tooth look nicer, but it will help the aggravation he was starting to see near my gum line. While the cosmetic bonding was meant to improve my smile, I am less happy with how it looks now than before. In my experience with one specific tooth, the material did not appear contoured flush to my tooth structure, leaving what felt like a noticeable overhanging margin. Because it did not feel properly sealed against the tooth, it created what felt like a constant trap for plaque and food, making it incredibly difficult to clean. Due to my concerns over potential gum irritation and the risk of decay under the material, I chose to visit a different dentist a few days later to have the bonding fixed and re-contoured. As shown in the attached photos, which I took just a few days after my initial appointment, the top of the bonding on this tooth was raised over my gum line and did not appear attached to my actual tooth structure. My photos demonstrate my experience clearly: I could easily slip dental floss directly behind the top front edge of the bonding because of this physical gap. Furthermore, the material feels excessively bulky in my mouth, and the final shapes of the teeth are aesthetically unappealing to me. I spent a significant amount of money here on cosmetic work. Ultimately, I am very unsatisfied and disappointed with these results. It is not only frustrating, but heartbreaking to invest so much money into a procedure only to feel unhappy with the outcome, and I truly wish I had gone elsewhere!

An abscess made me pick up the phone and start the search for a dentist that could work with my anxiety. I called the Beachwood location and Ashley was incredibly compassionate. They didn't have any openings but she found another location nearby that had more availability and referred me to them. After calling the other location, I found that the person wasn't nearly empathetic but scheduled my appointment only at the end to tell me that they wouldn't take my insurance. I called Ashley back and she was concerned with getting me taken care of. She found a window the following day for me to be seen and I began the 24 hours of dreading an appointment the next day. She coached me through what I needed to do to make sure my insurance would take care of me. Now those of us with the extreme dental anxiety are completely aware that it is ridiculous and that most of it is in our heads. Doesn't matter! Logic is out the window! I cry just making the call to make an appointment! Everyone that I dealt with that first day was fantastic. No one made me feel bad or silly for being so fearful. Dr. Wang was concerned with me being comfortable with the processes so that I would not just fix this emergency, but continue to take care of the other issues that I needed to address. That meant not doing work that first day, but getting the infection under control. I am now 5 visits in, AND ended up getting braces...about 35 years later than I should have! I had always put them off because i feared the work I would need to get done to be prepared for braces. I whole-heartedly recommend the entire crew at DentalWorks in Orange. Dr Wang, Ashley, the Kim's, Rebecca, Dr. Najem, Tia - and I am sorry that I don't know the names of all the other people that have been so amazing. Every last one of them went out of their way to make me believe that they were genuinely interested in helping me without judgement. If you are the fearful sort, if you have been putting off going and just dealing with the pain with a ton of ibuprofen, drinking everything at room temperatures because of the sensitivity, just chewing on one side to avoid the pain - call them.
