This days journey takes me to the states capital, I'm searching for some collectables and no better place then "Collectors Crossroads" well at least in my humble opinion. I personally have never been there and I was under the impression that it was a sport memorabilia and movie-collectables. It I was surprised at the vast majority of items. They had the usual sports memorabilia but movie, television, anime, music, books and collectables. But that's not the end, they had high end purses, Egyptian artifacts, Mesopotamian artifacts, ancient swords and world war ll artifacts. They run the gamut of unusual items. If you can't find it here you'll probably won't find it anywhere, or you can ask they might be able to find it for you. Because the people are super friendly and extremely helpful. I highly recommend this place for finding that unique gift or item you are looking for. read more

I always come here for my comics and to update my Pokemon collection. This store offers almost everything you can imagine as far as collectibles. The antic side of things is also amazing. On most occasions the staff is always friendly and helpful. But i always have sense of refreshment coming here because how everything is organized. read more

This business is just down the road really, I have seen it a ton of times, even noticed the art on the side but never stopped in here. It was the first stop in my wife's planned birthday weekend for me! The place is HUGE and has EVERYTHING from sports memorabilia to antiques. Comics, Statues, art, movie collectables, even Vampire hunting kits and old campaign buttons and the like. Even some random mayor campaigns from all over. My wife loved the huge and varied collection of things and memorabilia they had to offer. The staff was friendly and super knowledgeable and it was fun seeing all the stuff and hearing the stories and history. We did discover that people collect locks of hair and not to judge but that seems way more niche then I even realized. To each their own. We both love history but found out we didn't really need to see Napoleons or Monroe's hair. On that note, it is very pricey, others have pointed that out, they have graded comics and tons of stuff but it is very pricey and according to some of the reviews you can get the same stuff cheaper online or elsewhere. Also and I hate this anywhere, no restrooms. You have to leave, which to me breaks the spell you have going. You want to keep people there, seeing stuff and hope they buy. Honestly if I have to leave for the restroom I am not coming back. It's a sore spot with me pretty much anywhere. The one that got me was they had some stuff displayed behind the counter, a Jason Voorhees signed picture, a cool shadow box type display of Jason's Mask with Freddy's glove coming up to cover it, and a sign Freddy Kruger picture. No prices so we asked as my wife and I got married as Freddy and Jason and thought the box would be cool. But you can only buy all three and they wanted $1,500 for all of it. So no sale. I am giving it one extra star then I normally would due to the fact I see a lot of complaints about the service but we had great service, friendly and knowledgeable. I did find all 12 issues of Squadron Supreme for a good prices in a set. The items were cool to see, a comic of Spidey's first meeting with Dr. Doom, guns, swords, and so much. It is a cool place to visit, I don't see becoming a regular but glad I went. read more

I just witnessed a disturbing business interaction at this place. A customer had bought an item online from the store's own listing and paid for it. They were there picking it up and the employee wouldn't honor the price because he said that listing was older and should have been removed. First off.. clearly the store's fault, not the customer. So they wanted to inflate the price... then take the listing down and relist it. The item was still sitting in the store right there on display. When the store is clearly in the wrong they should own up to it. This employee got really irritated and heated because they wanted the item they had PAID for. I don't know any of these people, but the way this business handled the situation seemed way out of line. They wouldn't even refund the amount the customer had paid for the item in question. The employee wanted them to pick something else from the store instead. Ridiculous. The customers started to get pretty irritated (rightfully so!) And then the employee was even more agitated and demonstrative. They really had to fight for their rightful refund. After some time of acting like a ego battling weirdo, the employee finally said, "You happy now!? I just refunded you! It'll take 5 - 7 business days to process". This place has problems if they think this is how you interact with paying customers who did NOTHING wrong. It may seem weird that I'm writing this review in defense of a customer that I don't even know, and didnt have any interaction with. But I found it disturbing how aggressively unfair and hostile the exchange was. Gross. Bad. read more

I recently went to this place (again) not knowing my trip would be worse. They said they take all sorts of comics (unless that's not what they said on the phone). They try to rip you off in a certain with a lady laughing in your face and having a another co-worker help her cause she doesent know what the items are and which is awfully rude when she looks like she's about to fight Batman with that ugly makeup. And they only offered me 10$ for atleast 10 items which I pay a lot and overpriced for. don't go here unless you have "VINTAGE" comics which looks like there about to rip and burn away into ashes (which they will take) and unless you wanna get scammed and laughed at from the joker and infront of your face. I came into this location for the first time today. When walking into the establishment, consumers are wowed with rare finds ranging from signed sports memorabilia, comic books, action figures, vintage gaming sets, WWII and German Reich items, Roman Empire armor, a Fabergé egg, designer handbags, vinyl records and other antiques and one of a kind collectables. This is a place for the collectors collector! Thing One and I roamed the isles for about 30 minutes looking at so many items while going "ooh ah" -Grits After perusing, Thing One found an item he liked (and something that my wallet could afford), which was a comic book. The price for the comic book after tax was just over $8, which was extremely expensive as this comic book retails for $4 (that's a 50% mark up, yowza!). While Thing One was happy with this purchase and the person who rang us up was hospitable, I don't foresee myself going back any time soon as the prices here are a little excessive for me. I'm giving them 3 stars because I really don't know what to think of them. They're like part-memorabilia store/part-record store/part-antique store/part-high-end department store/part-museum. It's actually a really cool place just to walk around. But some of this stuff I can't help but question the provenance of. Or even the authenticity. They claim to have Arabian jezails (ornate long rifles from the 1700s) that should be in a museum, to these millennia-year-old artifacts that should ALSO be in a museum. Part of me wants to feel like it's one of those neighborhood antique stores like you read about in books, where the kid finds some supernatural artifact. Part of me also wants to think that some of this either isn't what they say it is or didn't come by it through the proper channels. I don't know. It IS interesting to visit though, I'll give them that. read more

This is such a great store. What are you looking for? Comics? Check. Toys, statues and collectibles? Check. Sports memorabilia and autographs? Check. Military relics and ancient artifacts? Check. I even once found an authentic vampire hunting kit from the 18th century. This place is like a giant museum that changes all the time. There's a little for everyone and a lot for someone. The staff has always been super friendly and I've have conversations for hours with some of them. I collect old comics so I like to check this store out every couple of weeks to see what new collections have come in. Was pointed to this place as I was told they sold gunpla model kits. They do. But only four kits. Not saying this is the reason why they are receiving 2 stars but due to these reasons: - Gunpla model kit had the original msrp of $80 sticker on the box. However, they are selling it for $125. A $45 markup. - The legitimacy of the one piece keychains is also questionable as they do not look like the keychains on the side of the box. Of course they're made in China. "$8 by the way" - It seems like they do work on commission somewhat? As they are constantly being a hawk on your every move and it gives off the salesman vibe without the knowledge of the product they are selling. - Yes I do agree with all the reviews where all merchandise are overpriced and marked up for a ridiculous amount. I came in to sell some MTG cards -- Don't bother. I brought in a $35 card from the newest set that one of the staff looked up on TCGPlayer with me to verify that it was selling for $35 (I had to wait for him to get off his lunch break too), and he told me he would only give me a small percentage for it. I thought I misheard him at first because I thought that I would be getting the value for my card and he'd be taking a cut. This was not the case. They lowballed me so hard it was ridiculous, and their excuse was that "Oh, it just takes a while for the cards to sell. Those cards you see over there have been sitting there for years." Like that's just karma dude, you tried to give me $7 for a $35 card. Also, they have some Pokémon and Magic the Gathering singles boxes. They're about 50 cents a card, which is so overpriced considering that every Magic card I looked at in the box was worth one or two pennies each. And I know for Pokémon you can get 50 different singles for around 5 dollars or less with the right seller on Amazon. Worst store for cards. TL;DR -- They lowball you if you're selling, and they overcharge you if you're buying. read more

Very mixed. This is a good place to go to LOOK. Their historical artifacts and weapons are very cool. Large record collection. Lots of cards from sports to TCG. All over priced. I also asked to see some cards from behind the counter in a giant box and the guy was literally applying so much pressure while I was looking and treating me like a child. Definitely a fun place to browse in with all different types of collectible for every collector. However, they are definitely over priced so I'll likely never become a customer. Still a fun place to visit just to look at stuff and the staff is also friendly. Ok first off these ppl in here act like they want to advise you and help you but felt more like I was being shuffled off to the next part of the store they're watching me like a hawk as if I was going to rob the place or something because I was taking my time looking at their memorabilia and mostly taking my time looking over there military collection. Sooo right away I started to notice some things about there collection prices and what is labeled as authentic and what was obviously a replica . (Which is fine I'm not expecting museum quality artifacts in cedar Park) But what I found strange was there replicas were labeled at a price margin have something that authentic would be just a little bit over the nose not too much.) like exactly what they go for maby 150 more .but some things they did have behind the casings kind of pushed together in the corner we're no doubt in my mind authentic or pretty close to authentic maybe not actually used and worn but definitely surplus from that time and era. What I found funny was the authentic grade collection and things were price drastically lower. now these are all mental notes I was making as I was checking out their collection on a board Saturday walk to the lakeline Farmers market. I must have been approached five or 8 times on one half of the store asked if I needed help I needed to see anything I told several that I'm a collector myself amateur historian and grown up in a military family I'm no expert .. but I have been studying this stuff for funn since I was about 5 years old ( megga nerd I know ) anyways long story short they are watching me very diligently it made me feel uncomfortable and they were shooing me on to the next section like you've had enough looking loos get out of here so I did happen to find a pretty authentic looking world war II German belt buckle definitely tell from the patina of the metal the low grade metal it was made of which is a definite sign of an possible authentic piece of military dress from the end of the war when the Germans were scrapping anything they could for the war effort. I asked the gentleman if he could get it out of the case and he did . I noticed immediately the pricing on it was $400 which if this is what I think it was could fetch a way higher price I don't think these people actually know in their collection what is authentic and what is not and what could be labeled in the middle such as a gray area. So I did what any amateur historian would do take out my phone snap a couple pictures and start researching referencing across the web if there's others like this with the same pressing deals same markings the same gentleman that handed me the artifact promptly took it from my hands put it back in the case and told me do not take any pictures here do not get up close to the glass and take any pictures we've had problems with that before and I immediately asked why was is it a pricing thing ? he just said again sternly don't take any pictures son you understand I was literally in shock . From the change of his demeanor in tone but it dawned on me pretty quick when I realized this gentleman's probably gotten in trouble from his boss cuz I'm not the first person who's coming there with a little bit of knowledge and background on these things . Now I'm not a nitpicker I wasn't going to even bring it up to them that I spotted several replicas that were heinously labeled as authentic in fact that's why I was taking such a long time strolling through that part of the store I like to see what I can spot and test my eye but. After that incident in there everyone who worked there from the clerk counter the lady who I assumed owned it and the other so-called collectors were watching me like I was a thieving gypsy no offense to any rominee out there . So I went to the other side of the store and purchased a few comics books it was so very twilight zone / sideshow esque ive never been treated like that from other collectors army surpluses collectors or even old veterans or military reenactors. That I frequently grow my collection from .. sorry for that rant but I had to I was planning on going back down there and and speak to a manager and tell them very sternly u got some major inventory to conduct between your authentic and replicas that are sitting side by side and your price points. But I will never be back there in a million years so this was a much better outlet... Thank u for letting me rant ...p.s really it's their loss cuz I would have bought that belt buckle maybe try to knock $50 off I would've t turned around and sold it for a clean 800. These guys are rude and must hate money. I came in looking for DC golden age Comics. I was told to look for them in their long boxes. I asked to be sure he heard me correctly. He said they are in the long boxes. He said the rare stuff was behind the counter. What does he think golden age detective and action are? Either the guy is idiot or he was blowing me off. My wife had gathered some bronze age for her collection. I told her to put them down. These people did not deserve our business. Their books are stupidly over priced anyways. They were selling a raw ff4 50 for 1,000 dollars. These people are joke. I asked one of the employees if my kid could use the bathroom and was told they didn't have one. Worst customer service ever.
