It leaked almost immediately, and workers caused damage to my walls, staircase, ceiling and trim. They also left a mess behind (debris and shingles were swept into flowerbeds). The gutter work is still not finished to this day, even though I paid for it and it was clearly included in the quote. I gave them multiple chances to fix everything before writing this review, but I've now gone months without any response with multiple followups. The crew was unprofessional -- some workers didn't speak English, misrepresented work being done, and were openly speaking negatively in Spanish in front of me. Christian was also extremely rude and dismissive. Overall: poor workmanship, damaged property, incomplete work, and zero accountability. Would not recommend.

Roofing Monkeys(RM) replaced my full roof , eavesthroughs and downspouts in March 2025. This Feb,…read more I experienced an ice jam with 4 +ft' icicles and leakage into the house. After several days and many calls, a rep from RM showed up and recommended roof cables and said he wud send someone to clear the ice jam. They never showed up or returned my calls. I called another firm to remove the ice jam and they said they saw several problems w/the new roof and provided photos. Plus they said the roofing cables are ill advised , esp for the amount of snow we're getting in Toronto. I would not recommend roofing Monkeys to anyone.

When I had originally completed your home back in August of 2011, you had said that you were very pleased with the completed job and our crew. We had informed you then both verbally and in writing of your 10 year warranty . That is why I was a little shocked when I had received a phone call from the office saying that you needed a call back. When I had called you, you had explained to me, that you had another roofer fix a problem around the chimney, that I did not know existed. You told me that the other roofer, that was there to do chimney work, said there was holes in the flashing that occurred from our company's workmanship.You also told me that you paid him to repair the flashing. You then kept asking me," How I was going to compensate you". I take a lot of pride in my workmanship and in our customer satisfaction. Here at The Cutting Edge Roofing, our customers are always #1. I wish you would have picked up the phone as soon as you thought there was a problem so I could have come by personally to take care of it. As for the phone call, I never yelled at you, I did however, firmly tell you at the end of our conversation, that I would not now, nor would I ever write you a check to compensate another roofer, to fix work on a roof that I hold a warranty on, and that was after you had told me, that if I did not compensate you for the other roofers work, you would leave my company a bad review on HOMESTARS. You did not take any before or after photos of the flashing the other roofer claimed had holes in it. You told me that I was not allowed on your roof or your property. I would never have disputed the warranty for any roofing issues. CE stated: ".you told me that if I did not compensate you for the other roofers work, you would leave my company a bad review on Homestars." - my exact words in fact were "It sounds like you're not prepared to do anything", followed at the end of the ongoing tirade by the CE owner with these exact and precise words from my own mouth: " You know what, I gave you a good review on HomeStars and now I'm going to have to go back and change that". At which point I terminated the call because the CE owner was continuing his unreasonable tirade and I am not in the habit of being disrespected like that by contractors. On September 3, 2022, I entered a contract with Wendy, representing JP Lucky, for the framing of a…read morecustom home in Stouffville. Throughout the construction process, Wendy frequently changed the contractors assigned to the project--ultimately involving four to five different teams. I was present on-site regularly and personally observed these changes. The subcontractors engaged by JP Lucky often delivered substandard work. Once deficiencies were identified, JP Lucky would dismiss the existing team and hire new subcontractors to continue. Although I fulfilled my obligations under the contract, JP Lucky failed to complete the project on time, and the work completed was defective. Due to these issues, I submitted a claim for adjudication through the Ontario Dispute Adjudication for Construction Contracts (ODACC), Case No. XXXX. On December 18, 2024, ODACC issued its Determination, providing copies to both the Respondent and me. The Determination ordered the Respondent to reimburse me $XXX,XXX (including HST) and $X,XXX (including HST), representing 50% of the adjudication fee. Despite my repeated demands, JP Lucky has failed to comply with the Determination or remit the required payment. While Wendy and JP Lucky initially present themselves as amicable and reliable, their conduct reveals a failure to act in good faith. Despite receiving payment for services, they have refused to return funds for work that was either unfinished or materially deficient, thereby disregarding the interests of their clients.

I took a chance and called "Justin's Leak free roofing" a cold call from a Yelp ad. It was one of the best cold calls that I've ever made!! I was so impressed by Justin and his administrative assistant Miro for their professionalism, reliability, and excellence in the quality of work. Justin fixed all of the broken wood planks (the others had covered up), showed us pictures of before and after each step of the all repairs and did a beautiful roofing job finishing with rake edging. The pricing was more than fair for this kind of detailing and quality. I never give reviews for any product or anyone, but Justin is worthy and deserving! After seeing the quality of his work, honesty, integrity and reliability, I highly recommend Justin. Our next door neighbours are really happy too (we're in a semi-detached and both of our sides done)! We'll be using him again, though we probably won't need him for some time! Do not be fooled by this company's name or high rating. When things go wrong, their operation…read moredemonstrates a total lack of accountability, basic ethics, and ironically, a complete LACK OF INTEGRITY. They dispatched an unsupervised subcontractor to repair a roof leak at my home. It was an absolute disaster. Using sub-standard materials and atrocious workmanship, he actively made the leak worse--all while manipulating me into paying nearly $1,000 for useless "repairs". When the leak immediately flooded again, the subcontractor tried to extort more money from me, blamed me for his failure, and aggressively pressured me to grant him entry to my home. When another company representative finally inspected the damage, he explicitly admitted the subcontractor's work was completely improper and revealed they had been forced to fire him due to a string of client complaints. Despite sending a rogue contractor who caused further damage, management took zero responsibility. The unaddressed breach forced me to pay thousands out of pocket to have the entire roof replaced by a competent contractor. Worst of all is their cowardice in customer service. A representative promised to discuss my reasonable request for reimbursing the wasted $950 and get back to me. They completely stonewalled me and never called back. Leaving a retired senior out of pocket for a disaster of their own creation and then ghosting them is disgraceful. Operating under the name "Integrity" while abandoning customers the moment a mistake is made is pure hypocrisy. Look elsewhere.
