Very disappointing experience with Roofing Monkeys. Work was poorly done -- the sun tunnel was installed incorrectly, the could not even match the opening in the ceiling with the opening in the roof after doing it twice. It leaked almost immediately, and workers caused damage to my walls, staircase, ceiling and trim. They also left a mess behind (debris and shingles were swept into flowerbeds). The gutter work is still not finished to this day, even though I paid for it and it was clearly included in the quote. I gave them multiple chances to fix everything before writing this review, but I've now gone months without any response with multiple followups. The crew was unprofessional -- some workers didn't speak English, misrepresented work being done, and were openly speaking negatively in Spanish in front of me. Christian was also extremely rude and dismissive. Overall: poor workmanship, damaged property, incomplete work, and zero accountability. Would not recommend. read more

Roofing Monkeys(RM) replaced my full roof , eavesthroughs and downspouts in March 2025. This Feb, I experienced an ice jam with 4 +ft' icicles and leakage into the house. After several days and many calls, a rep from RM showed up and recommended roof cables and said he wud send someone to clear the ice jam. They never showed up or returned my calls. I called another firm to remove the ice jam and they said they saw several problems w/the new roof and provided photos. Plus they said the roofing cables are ill advised , esp for the amount of snow we're getting in Toronto. I would not recommend roofing Monkeys to anyone. read more

Installation: I hired Roofing Monkeys in the fall of 2023 to replace my complete roof (2 flat, sections with shingles). The contract included adding insulation as part of the new roof. During the installation, I noticed the team was not adding any insulation, so I notified the sales team, and they insisted it was being added. I sent them a series of photos showing they were not adding any insulation, and they did not respond with any resolution. The quality of the work was sub-par; there were areas of the flat roof with tar-shaped footprints. These were my first red flag that this company was not to be trusted, but at this point the new roof was mostly installed, so I had to live with it. First leak: Fast forward to the fall of 2024, my flat roof started leaking. They sent out a repair crew, and he needed to spend almost 3 hours repairing the flat roof. He informed me that the team that installed my 3rd floor roof didn't secure it correctly, and it had lifted up and was waterlogged. He had to cut out a large section of the flat roof and rebuild it. He then asked me if anywhere else on the roof was leaking, filling me with extreme confidence in the quality of their work. He indicated that other areas may have not been secured correctly. Second leak: In January 2026, the same roof started leaking again in almost the same location. I contacted the Roofing Monkey support line, and they informed me a repair crew could come out the following Tuesday at 9am (4 days later). On the Tuesday, nobody arrived, and I tried calling to see where they were. Brian did not respond to my call and only texted to call later. I asked where they were, and he said they would instead come Thursday. Over the next 1.5 months, they kept saying they would come on a specific day, then not show up, and I would have to call/text to ask where they were, and they would have to reschedule for another 1-5 days later. By my count, they promised to come 7 times and never came. They also never notified me they were not coming that day, I always had to follow up and ask where they were. Completely unprofessional on all levels. They came once in those 1.5 months, said there was too much ice and they couldn't do anything, and said they would come back after a few days of sunshine. After a week of sunshine, they just never came back. Outcome: I am now in the process of filing a small claims court action against them for abandoning their warranty, as well as the structural repairs due to the leak. If you value not just the installation but the warranty you are buying, go with another company and save yourself the headache! read more

Quote within a week and job done within a day. We had a section of eaves trough replaced as well as the downspout. The team of 2 doing the job were done 3 hours after arriving and they carted off the trash. I would easily book this team again. read more

Our 11 year old roof needed replacing. Had we called our previous roofer a year earlier, the company that had already replaced our roof twice since 1999, we would have been covered by the labour warrant. We had at least 6 sheets of shingles blown off the roof. Our roofer does more than roofs. They had also replaced the siding on our house. At the same time we contacted them for a quote, we referred 2 different neighbours to them, only to find out that they, like us, had to keep calling them back for quotes we had contacted them for. Then we met Christian from Roofing Monkees. As we were to learn, everyone from Roofing Monkeys, including Christian, is professIonal, reliable, hard working and very good at their jobs. The price for the roof and eavestroughing was extremely competitive. The work was done quickly while never lacking in quality of the finished product. Roofing Monkeys were hired by my neighbour to repair his roof. As the neighbour doesn't have a yard they asked if they could use mine. I gave permission and numbers were exchanged. I told them not to move my property, and they should text me if they needed things moved. Day one I heard noise out back, and found them cutting the lock into my back yard. I again made sure they had my number and told Mike face to face, to not touch my property. They did not text me, they moved a bicycle, a smoker, and an electric moped that had the steering lock on. They claim they moved them to make sure they didn't get damaged, despite having been told not to move them. They claim they have proof these things didn't work before they started... A smoker, that didn't work? How does a smoker not work... when it isn't currently being used??? An electric bicycle, that didn't work, while the keys were in my home? A Moped, that didn't work, which they saw me using, and moved things so I could get out of the yard to use, but... it didn't work before them came... worked while they were here, and now doesn't work after they dragged it? The beligerant replies from Bryan take the cake too, they caused damage to my property and refuse to take responsibility. read more

Brian had done some work for us last year. Great job. Well done and reasonably priced. This year, after a windstorm, we found some shingles on our lawn and I asked Brian to go up on the roof and have a look. Turned out the shingles weren't ours and our roof was intact. I asked Brian how much I owed him for inspecting the roof. His fee? Nothing..... no charge!! That is called INTEGRITY!!! If you're looking for a great job done by honest people, call ROOFING MONKEYS.
