Dr. Wingrove is an exceptional neurologist and absolutely worth the investment in your health!…read moreShe's incredibly professional, compassionate, and takes the time to truly listen, never rushing appointments and always explaining things in a clear, thoughtful way. I came to her after a car accident and a disappointing experience with another neurologist who dismissed my symptoms as anxiety and refused to order imaging. Dr. Wingrove did thorough in-office testing, saw red flags for spinal cord damage, and ordered the imaging that confirmed severe compression in my cervical spine. Her care quite literally changed the course of my health. I needed surgery, and without her, the condition would have gone undiagnosed and worsened. She's also responsive via the patient portal and open-minded to different treatment options. I'm beyond grateful to have found her and can't recommend her enough if you're dealing with neurological issues.

She is so easy to talk with, so knowledgeable and has given me so many insights on things where I saw patterns but was having trouble connecting the whys behind the patterns. After a horrible experience with another dr. at S&W, I refused to go the dr. again for a year. My…read morewife added me to her insurance, and I was able to go to Kings Daughter and fortunate enough to see Dr. Mattson. She restored my faith in doctors, and helped me tremendously. When I went in I had lost 50 lbs . (180-130lbs, 5'11") and it was painful even to drink water. My Dr. at S&W was an incompetent idiot and saw me as a commodity instead of a patient. Her only concern wasn't my health, but how much money she could make off of me. Dr. Mattson quickly realized I had GERD and put me on Nexium which immediately ended several years of pain. She discovered I had diabetes, high blood pressure and a few other problems, She also took me seriously and referred me to a neurologist who diagnosed me with early onset Parkinson's Disease. My previous doctor at S&W hadn't noticed any of those things, would not listen to me, didn't care and told me I just wanted drugs. I never imagined a doctor could change your life so much for the better or worse. I appreciate so much that doctor Mattson was there to help me improve my quality of life. Dr. Mattson is one of the most pleasant, down to earth doctors I've ever met. Occasionally I had to wait to see the doctor as she was running late, but that never bothered me because I knew that when it was my turn, I would have Dr. Mattson's full attention for as long as I needed it, too. This isn't a doctor that rushes in, gives you antibiotics or something and herds you back out in five minutes; this is a doctor who really cares and actually listens. I don't see dr. Mattson much anymore because she is nearly impossible to get in to see. Word has spread about how wonderful she is, and she is extremely busy. When I do get to see her, it always makes me happy just to see her friendly smile. Over the years, I have shared a lot of laughs and tears in her office, and I will always appreciate Dr. Mattson for not only being a great doctor; but also a great woman

All my payments are not there, they made me pay 25.00 a month for amount they say I owed. It's back to where it started from and I haven't been there. My insurance I had, sent me tons of paperwork saying I don't owe anything, IPA didn't turn all the paperwork in on time and it says on my insurance print outs patient owes zero. The Insurance said IPA is making me pay because insurance didn't pay them until they resubmit it. I have the paperwork and conversations printed out. They still taking 25.00 a month out after me explaining this to them. Insurance said they will cut a check to them when info is resubmitted. They also charged me when I met my deductible. I am sending a letter of ceasing my payments, they are not Authorized to take money from my debit card under this act, Any transaction attempted or processed after receipt of this notice shall be considered unauthorized, unlawful, and subject to dispute, and may constitute a violation of the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (15 U.S.C. § 1693 et seq.) and applicable state and federal law. This needs to stop now. If the certified letter doesn't make them stop, I will take it to court and ask for all my money back. If they stop now, I won't ask for the money they ripped me off of!!! Look at these stacks and stacks of papers since 2023 they been charging me, for something they didn't turn in on time. I talked to insurance, they said all my balances are zero because insurance didn't pay all that because IPA didn't turn in on time. They rip you off here, sketchy. Drs are fine, the office don't know their crap. I'm going to go to the bank also and give them a copy of certified letter. IPA can get into big trouble taking that out of my card after I went up there with paperwork and told them I do not Authorize my card to be used. I wanted them to make copies of what I brought, lady said take a seat 30 min later my dad come in and said he's going to be late to an appointment. We left. I've called them several times they argue and say I owe all that!!! Insurance says no I don't. Here's the stacks of proof and letter from IPA. IPA again I do not authorize you to take anything out of my account by my card. Do something now then I won't go on, if not y'all, my bank and attorney will get copies. I am really owed by check big time from yall. Do better!

Even the lab techs are helpful as well as funny. The cafeteria as a few nice selections of food but could use more seasoning. As long as you are a patient going to your appointment and going home, you will be ok. Then there is the emergency room. In the emergency, it is as if there isn't enough techs because the lobby is always full. A lot of the nurses do not have bedside manners. A few of them do. I have had bruises, loss blood and even been assaulted nasally after they were told I did not want the care that they were trying to administer. They do not listen to the wishes of the patient or the family because they think they know everything. The people in charge will let the workers talk to the patients and families any kind of way, but they have a violence policy where the patients or family members cannot retaliate or use profanity. But when it comes to the speak up policy that is supposed to be enforced, the patients are rarely heard. I'm a heart transplant patient so I'm usually on the fourth floor. Now there are a few good nurses that actually do their jobs, have bedside manners, make the situations personable, and even make friends. Some even become like family. Then there are those who come to work with a chip on their shoulders and try to take it out on the patients. Now when it comes to Patient Relations, Douglas Stephens is probably the only one that actually cares and wants to help the patients. He actually takes the time to listen and come up with solutions. All in all Scott and White is a business. There are always some good people and some bad people. They need to read the signs provided for them as well as the patients. Treat people how you want to be treated. You have to give respect to get it. That's all I'm saying. The place itself is a wonderful place. You will find the right doctor for you.
