Dr. Hoover is just wonderful and caring. His staff is terrific. Very pleased with how my surgery turned out.

I went to Brain Institute several years ago. I liked the doctor, she helped my headaches. The…read moresecond visit was her last day in this practice. She told me to use meds as needed, she would call in 12 month refills. I turned in paperwork and waited to be notified that script was ready to pick up. Long story short. The "front desk" to whom I handed paperwork claimed I never turned it in, said I had stolen it. Why, why would I do that. They never admitted their error, never got my meds. Had to start over with new doctor. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE.

They tend to think they can destroy your lives by not seeing you after a procedure or not filling out paperwork so you can stay employed. Office staff was terrible. Doctor after procedure is terrible and flat doesn't care. Our doctor was L. Gerard Toussaint. One star because I have to do a star rating. If you're a smoker, vapor or anything that gives you nicotine, they require you to quit. Yes there is supposed research out there that you heal better without the nicotine, however personally I don't believe it. I have had 3 back surgeries and smoked plus healed in record time. I bring this up because my spouse quit smoking for the surgery performed, however slipped a couple times ( 3 or 4 smokes ) in over 3 months. This doctor has refused to see my spouse since. He's snooty, thinks he's better than anyone else, but this doesn't become evident until after he does the surgery and if you're having a continuation of the symptoms you originally had he blames you. He even told my spouse before surgery that the back problems were severe and that it was possible they might not get full functionality back. Lousy after surgery care. I wouldn't wish this doctor on anyone.
