First, the design questionnaire was excellent - especially for someone like me who doesn't know much about interior design. It was able to identify my design preferences by showing different living rooms and asking which ones were to my liking. In addition, its questions served as a great preparation for the home visit, so Stephanie came well prepared for our meeting. Stephanie was very creative, professional, and helpful throughout the process. When she visited my place, we decided on a design together, in an efficient process, where she was able to translate my needs and preferences to interior design decisions and furniture choices. After two weeks, she assembled a furniture shopping list, within the budget I requested. I purchased all items she suggested. The furniture items were sourced from many furniture stores and I felt she did an excellent job finding items that were beautiful, fit the overall design, and reasonably priced. I get nothing but compliments about my place (even from my Architect friend who is quite stingy with design related complements...). Well done Stephanie! As to the cost-effectiveness of the service - had I done this process myself (even with friends help), I would have surely spent more time, more money, getting worse results. Finally, the service was well structured and transparent. Good stuff overall.

It took me a long time to settle down to write this review. My experience was terrible and despite…read morethe raves that Sandro gets, when things go wrong they go very wrong and you are on your own. I had a large sectional sofa that needed to be reupholstered. When I went into Sandro's I told them that I had a cat and to recommend a fabric that would be best for that situation. I was told to do Ultrasuede and led to a shelf with a lot of fabric books. The first fabric I chose wasn't available but the second one was - a creamy white Ultrasuede. They picked up half the sectional (we were doing it in 2 parts) and a couple of months later delivered it redone I looked at the cushions and told the men delivering it that it was unacceptable - you could see every single stitch since the fabric pulled. I was told they would make it right and they took away the remaining sectional pieces. Two months later I got a call from Sandro to come and look at the sectional before they delivered it to approve it. I did and exactly the same problem was present on nearly all the cushions. I told Sandro this was unacceptable and I was told 1-The cushions looked just fine and I was looking at the with a magnifier - (as if) 2 - He has been in business for 30 (he may have said 40) years and he has never had to deal with this 3 - It was the fabric I picked (remember they told me which fabric to choose from and never mentioned any problems - and there should be no problems with Ultrasuede) 4 - He was a professional and they used professional machines and there was nothing wrong. In short I was on my own - $3500 later with a sectional that looks great at a distance and shoddy when you get near it. Take a look at my photos and, before you spend the kind of money I did, think about how satisfied you would be with my results.

It became a "while you're at it" project, and we wound up gutting the whole first floor, as well as the 2 upstairs bathrooms. Kevin joined us at the outset and immediately grasped our life style and our tastes and created spaces that reflect who we are and the way we live. He miraculously updated the interior while maintaining the original colonial architecture and character, creating timeless spaces. He was generous with his time and energy, giving us time to make choices and decisions, gently nudging us in another direction when he intuitively knew we would be happier with the end result. Kevin maintained a positive attitude throughout the process, buoying up us as we hit all the inevitable snags and delays, and remains a good friend and advisor to this day. He comes with our highest compliments and recommendation.

The house beautifully fit on the island where it is located and Kevin designed the home to take into account the best attributes of my lot. He also took care of all of the design as well with thoughtful interior finishes that beautifully fit the form and function of the vacation home. He worked from the beginning to get our feedback on the direction he was recommending and to unify the big picture decisions for the build with the details that would create the feel and style of the finished project. His vision in the architectural design was then effectively brought to life through excellent communications with the general contractor overseeing the construction after I selected a contractor using his design documentation in the bidding process. Our vacation home is a joy for my family and all of the extended family and friends with whom we share time in this special place. The design makes a wow first impression, but more importantly it has had an enduring quality for family and loved ones who love having time with one another in this home. I can't imagine how Ii would have built a vacation home like this without the vision and attention to detail that Kevin brought to the project.

We would 1,000% hire Dream Kitchen Designs again!…read more We wanted to completely renovate our kitchen, and compared quotes from a local business, Dream Kitchen Designs (a.k.a. DKD) and a big box store (Lowe's). Right from the beginning, DKD was extremely responsive and personable, whereas Lowe's was the complete opposite. We decided to stay local and hire DKD, and we are so incredibly happy that we did! Quoting: Andrei and Andreea always answered our many questions (big and small). Whereas, we had trouble getting in touch with our Lowe's kitchen contact based on her store schedule and lack of a direct extension. DKD also easily beat Lowe's prices (Lowe's subcontracts so their prices were inflated). Also, DKD allows you to buy whatever materials (flooring, backsplash tile, grout, lighting, etc.) from whatever store you choose, whereas at Lowe's, you must buy from their limited choices. Timeliness: Andrei and his crew were on time every single day, and worked diligently and meticulously. These guys don't waste time. They also asked to work each Saturday, which we were always cool with. Quality: All of the work was superb (complete demo, new floors, new cabinets, new countertop, updated electrical & plumbing, painting, etc.) and finished within the estimated timeframes initially given. There was a great sense of care and attention to detail for each phase of the installation. We're **beyond thrilled** with the final results! Communication: Andrei and Andreea's communication was always clear and frequent, which we especially appreciated. It was very personalized service and Andrei is very open to phone calls and text messages. Note: DKD may seem new since they opened the kitchen storefront 2 years ago, but Andrei and his team have been in business for many years. Our kitchen is now incredibly gorgeous, and we can't stop admiring it. It's hands down the best room in the house. Again, we would 1,000% hire Andrei and DKD again for any additional work!
