We hired Irish Sweeps Chimney to diagnose and repair a leak. At first everything went great and I…read morewould have agreed with all these other wonderful reviews. Dom was knowledgeable, kind, and professional. He got the work done fast and took photos for us. Here's where things went wrong: In our consultation with Dom he told us our chimney needed to be relined and repointed. He quoted us $3,600 but told us if we paid cash it would be significantly less. Cash would bring the total down to $2,900. We're new home owners and have been spending quite a bit to fix the place up, so naturally we jumped at the lower price. We paid cash in full. Before Dom left he notified us that he didn't have time to repoint the chimney but he would come back over the weekend. He never came back. We called and texted him multiple times over the course of a month. He would set dates with us and then no show. Eventually we called the owner of Irish Sweeps Chimney and at first he promised to make it right. Then he said he couldn't do anything without proof money was exchanged. Dom didn't give us a receipt for the cash we gave him so it was our word against his. We have multiple texts and calls from him promising to come finish the job but it wasn't enough. I understand why the owner would side with his employee, but it's very disappointing that this happened in the first place. We paid him thousands and even tipped him. In retrospect was it a little stupid to not get a receipt? Yes, for sure. However based on the stellar reviews, Dom's charm, and his promise to come back, I didn't think much of it at the time. We put our trust into a company we thought was reputable and one awful employee took advantage of that. Don't let first impressions fool you-- save your money and hire someone that will actually do what you pay them to do.

I had an issue with my door where it would not move in either direction. I bought the opener from…read moreHome Depot and if memory serves, All Door & Garage installed it (but maybe not) so when the problem developed I immediately thought it was the opener so I called All Door and made an appointment for last Monday (2/9) morning. The technician showed up within about 15 minutes of the appointed time. The tech did the diagnosis and determined that the safety spring on the right side had broken. He replaced the spring and was on his way in about an hour. The cost was quite reasonable. A day or two ago, the door developed a horrible squeak so I call All Door and set another appointment for this morning (2/16). The tech arrived at exactly the appointed hours, did his diagnostic work, made the appropriate adjustments, and was on his way in about 45 minutes. I couldn't ask for better service I would recommend this vendor for all manner of garage door work.

However they have now been bought out by Ned Stevens and the service is very poor - they just showed up one day without letting me know they were coming, and they just tossed the debris onto the ground into our gardens, and were running around with the leaf blower disturbing the garden when I arrived home.
