I've brought my pants to her for fixing several times. The thing is, it really depends on her mood. If she's happy that day, she's okay with fixing what I ask. But on other days, if she's not in a good mood, she often says no and only wants to do things her way--not the way the customer wants. Amazing tailor located in Rowland Heights! She is located in the same plaza as Rite Aid and Shabu 88. I needed dress pants hemmed for a wedding ASAP and was able to find this place on Yelp! It is owned and operated by an older Korean lady. Even though English is not her first language, I did not have any issues communicating with her in basic English. She is very friendly and helpful. I brought my dress pants in and changed in the dressing room (she has 2 dressing rooms). Once I changed into the dress pants, she measured out the length. Afterwards, I left my pants with her and she gave me a ticket to pick it back up in a few hours. She works quickly, but is very professional, experienced, and meticulous. I could tell that she has a lot of ongoing projects, especially as it is wedding season, but she never made me feel l was not an important customer. First, let me say that the Yelp address is so wrong. GPS took me to the post office, but her shop is actually in the corner of Snowy Village. It's on the other side of Rite Aid. I brought in a bridesmaid dress to be altered 1.5 months before the wedding. The Korean lady figured out what I needed to be fixed and quoted me a minimum of $58. I needed the bottom trimmed because it was too long. I also needed the top part of the dress tightened from hip up. She actually told me to come back later - partly because the due date was far away and partly because she wanted me to bring the shoes I'd wear with the dress to estimate how much to trim. I came back 2 weeks before the wedding with the shoes, and she quoted me $60 total. Two dollar difference from her estimate - that's fine with me. She told me she was really busy since it was Labor Day weekend and said I could come back in 8 days. I came back in 11 days, but she told me to come back in 2 hours. I had to ask two different people to pick up my dress because I couldn't go myself. I was worried that I couldn't try it on to double check her work. I wasn't very happy with that, but when I got the dress back, it was perfect. I was very satisfied with her work, and I was relieved to get the dress in time for the wedding! She closes early on Saturdays, is not open Sundays, and is CASH ONLY. You also have to pay up front when you drop off your clothes. I didn't have cash on me at the time, so she let me pay when I picked up the dress. read more

Okay, so the lady doesn't speak much english. However, I think she does a really good job. I've been here twice with three different clothing pieces. A blazer, jeans, and yoga pants; they're all done well. I think the most important is that whenever I get my clothes back, I can't really tell that someone worked on it. I went there for the first time just to get my skirt hemmed on my Star Butterfly's cosplay dress that was too long down to my mid-legs that covered my Star Butterfly stockings too much so I took it there and paid $25 to get that Star Butterfly cosplay skirt trimmed and hemmed a little shorter. The cosplay dress of Star Butterfly was actually Star Vs. The Forces of Evil I bought it from EBay shopping website. It only took 30 mins for her to hem my chef pants, and the stitch is perfect, and so professionally done!! Went here on a Friday with three pairs of jeans that needed to be hemmed. I was in and out of there probably in 15 minutes because the sweet lady who works there obviously knew what she was doing and I trusted her without even having to say much. She told me that my three pairs would be done on Tuesday and she charged me $26. Not too sure on how the pricing works since she didn't really explain but each of my jeans were around $100+ so I didn't think it was too much to spend about $8.60 each to love my jeans even more. I just picked up my jeans today and they are exactly how I wanted them to turn out. She is quick, good at her job, and reasonably priced (IMHO). Definitely check her out! I'm a strong supporter of most moms' and pops' business not limited to just my neighborhood. So when i discover new spots I am happy with , im pretty much a lifer. And this obviously applies not just to restaurants but to other private business/services. I typically use my regular dry cleaner for simple hemming of pants/slacks/skirts etc. They do tend to get pricey if I ask for them to do a little more like adding a strap to a sleeveless dress etc... So I knew it was time to explore a real alteration shop. I yelped and yelped. And next city over my hood, I find this place tucked away next to the Royal Vista Golf Course inside a huge and busy shopping plaza. A very sweet and friendly Korean lady runs the place. Very pleasant. Gives you precise pricing. And prompt with her work. And her work is amazing. I've had no complaints thus far. She's tightened the back of a few dresses, added straps, etc... This little alteration place is being handled by a sweet Korean lady. Her work is fast--I brought in a pair of denim jeans to be hemmed (only $7) and it was done the next day. Craftmanship is up to par. No loose threads, the thread color matched completely and really sewed on well. I will be a returning customer and would highly recommend this place!! I once took a couple pairs to the local dry cleaner, and they used thread that did not even attempt to match the ones used in my jeans. I stopped in here and the price was $1 cheaper than the other places, so I thought I'd give her a try. The alterations expert is the sweet korean lady who was quick and professional.
