a panoramic view of a vineyard

Just happened to stumble across this little gem and so happy we did! The views were amazing and Crystal was I think one of the best hosts we had the entire trip. She was so personable and knowledgeable and made the entire wine making process sound so interesting (not science-y). The views were gorgeous the weather was perfect. I highly recommend spending an afternoon here. One of the most surprising wines was the rose. We aren't fans of whites or rose's but actually left with a bottle of the Rose' and Pinot Gris! This experience could not have been any more perfect!!!

Our wine tasting with Melissa was 100%! Our family loved the wine, view, snacks, and service! Well worth the trip to the Willamette Valley!

There are so many different wineries around the Willamette Valley, so it's difficult to choose where to go. And of course, the most popular ones will likely be booked up. But my partner found Coeur de Terre and made a reservation for us to visit this winery in the late afternoon, which ended up being a delightful experience. The vineyard is located far from the city, up on a hill, surrounded by other vineyards and orchards. Just the setting itself is worth visiting. The winery with its own vineyard is spacious, with a large, open building that's open for the public. However, where you want to sit is outside on the patio, which overlooks the hills and vineyard. We had a reservation for 4PM on a Sunday, which was the last hour before closing. We tried six different wines: a chardonnay, pinot gris, rose, syrah and two pinot noirs. Now, we came to Oregon wine country because we wanted to explore pinot noirs, which is king in this part of the country. And I can say that the pinot noirs at Coeur de Terre were solid. I normally would not choose a pinot noir, but Coeur de Terre made me a believer. They grow all of their grapes here at the vineyard, and what I liked most about the pinot noirs is that they were more robust than other pinot noirs I've had. I like my reds more bold and heavy, and these pinot noirs were heavier. We had a wonderful experience here, exploring the pinot noirs and taking in the views and setting. The employee who helped us out was friendly, too. I recommend visiting if you're in the area. Tasting is $25 per person, and is waived with a $75 bottle purchase per person.

It is the perfect spot to spend a lazy summer day. Or any day! As you enter the driveway, there is a beautiful iron gate which welcomes you to the long driveway past the pond and up to the gorgeous stone building that houses the tasting room and event space. We were there during the summer and the fragrant roses were in bloom, along with other flowers, adding the perfect pop of color. They have created various seating spots in the shade of trees, either tables or settees and comfy chairs. Maysara considers themselves stewards of the land, and as such, respect the land so it remains for future generations. They are a fully biodynamic and sustainable winery. For example, they grow a variety of medicinal and dynamic flowers & herbs that are turned into compost teas to fertilize and create nutrient rich soil without chemicals or pesticides. The resulting wines are truly a result of nature, combining the Persian vines, rich soil, and climate of the Oregon Coastal Range foothills. We all opted for a flight that started with three whites and finished with three reds. I'm usually a big, bold red fan so was surprised and delighted to fall in love with their Pinot Gris. It was crisp and light, so refreshing on a warm summer anfternoon. I also loved their sparkling rose. actually, I liked every wine we sampled! Each of the wines are named after various Persian legends, and as the wines were poured, we heard the stories of the wine's namesake, and learned about the grapes and process. It was very enjoyable. Maysara is a special place. I can't wait to visit again for more delicious wine and to take in the peaceful space they created.
