Let me start by stating the obvious, the bad reviews given to Westwood Cinema 6 are petty,…read morefrivolous and canards at best. I am from Los Angeles and I lived in the Brenham area for past 10 years. I travel back to LA regularly and I watch movies at every major theater chain in Texas and California. The last review where you complain about a refill and you spent $31 for a Ticket and Food, and you have audacity to complain about paying for a refill. Read the room, they did not overcharge you, your petty and cheap and because you decided to buy your dinner at Theater. Every friend, colleague and stranger I direct there tells me that Ticket Prices are so affordable, you can take a family of 4 to the movies at Westwood Cinema for $31 bucks or less when it movie is no longer a matinee. As for soda, you need drink less. The Theater is never packed and I surrounded by your kind on cell phones, who think they are intitled to concierge service that interrupts the movie for everyone else. I work with small, medium and corporate scale companies and their owners. The owner of this Theater is not in the Movie Business to make money off his customers. He is in it bring to joy to his community at a reasonable price without having to pay an arm and a leg by gouging the customers. So, if you are going to complain that you need to pay for a refill, you have not read the room. Because I can guarantee you, that you missed the most important thing about Westwood Cinema 6, it is in a small town and the owner of the theatre is giving back to community keeping it open. You are not only ungrateful that you had the opportunity to visit my community the place I call home. You have no gratitude that the owner business loves his community and understands it is not all about profit, it about giving back to the people who can afford to pay for a refill because they are glad to be going to the movies with their family or on a date and they did not have to second mortgage. The price of ticket in a movie on average at other theater across the U.S. is 2 to 3 times the cost. When it comes to the snack bar, at other theater, your soda and food would be double the cost. Your response on Yelp about the Westwood Cinema 6 should be thank you for staying open and providing a venue that does not require to take out a 2nd mortgage to watch a movie. Westwood Cinema 6, thank you for staying open for the community, because you care and see big picture. As for review about complaining about spending $31 bucks on a movie and snacks. your movie ticket was only 25% of the $31 bucks you spent. My advice is, do not Yuck the Yum of the owner of the Westwood Cinema 6 just because you raised with no manners. To the owner of Westwood Cinema 6, thank you for staying open during covid and turning your parking lot into a Drive in Movie Theater for the community when they needed the most, and I lot of folks told me you charge admission to the children and senior citizens. Thank you giving back, and for all the bad reviews given. Go back to the city and pay for overprice tickets and overpriced snacks in a crowded theater where you are constantly interrupted by waiters/waitresses and knuckleheads on their cellphones. Westwood Cinema, thank you giving back to your community and the visitors who know you value. We are grateful!

I paid $31, to watch a movie for myself, to include food and drinks. This theater is so greedy,…read morethey want to charge me $4.50, to refill a Large drink. Obviously their Large, is not Large enough, plus, i think I deserve at least one Free refill, after spending $31, already.

I want to give a full-throated endorsement of this business, especially as a Downtown Bryan…read moreresident, yet I have serious reservations. 1.) This historic venue deserves better historic interior decor. I recognize the current owners didn't make the renovations to the space, but as a single screen venue...it should feel special, distinct and one-of-a-kind experience from front door to lobby to theatre. It doesn't. 2.) The online website and programming of what's on screen is not extra special. First run films are better left to the cineplexes. This space would suit a well-curated art house, classic cinema, and rarely seen films for a large swath of audiences in the Brazos Valley. I live right around the corner and the 50th Anniversary screening of Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon was the first film since their launch (in current iteration)...it was fun to experience on a large screen. 3.) What is unclear from the online presence is that food can be served to your seat. I looked extensively in the sight but this was not evident to me until we arrived. The menu is very pedestrian, burgers, greasy fries and more fried things, and standard salads. Again, nothing special or unique. 4.). Why are tickets for future screenings unavailable since they are already advertised? Also, there was a lot of noise in the lobby during the film and the house lights did not come up after the film concluded. I WANT to support a local one-screen experience Downtown, but how I miss the reopening days of this place when it was diversely curated and a human being sat in the ticket booth to welcome you into the Experience of The Queen. Her uniqueness is not being capitalized upon, regrettably.

Food is great, and cheaper than star cinema. Great small theater feel. The theater only shows one…read moreto two trailers and then jumps right into the movie.
