I was craving some ice cream, and thought I hadn't been to CSC in a while. I was actually concerned this location had closed down. I know it had closed down before, and reopened with new owners. The new owners seem to be doing something right, because... When I got there, I was pleasantly surprised (and a little annoyed) that the place was packed! The staff seemed a little overwhelmed at all the customers that were there, but were still pleasant. Although I am a huge fan of anything peanut butter, or salted caramel...the best thing this place has, IMHO, is the cake batter ice cream. I worked here as a teenager back in the day and in my life I've never had a job so traumatizing. It was only a couple short weeks that I was able to endure the owner and his little jerk of a son before quitting and finding better employment elsewhere. I never even got paid for my time that I worked as the owner took advantage of me being young and naive. The shop was never thoroughly cleaned in the time I was there aside from general low maintenance. The owner left his underage son in the store alone with me on a Saturday like I was some sort of babysitter. He got a thrill out of belittling employees infront of one another. Overall, I wouldn't support this business if they had the last scoop of damn ice cream on this planet. Don't let your kids work here let along eat here. read more

Not sure what was going on here last night.. this is the closest cold stone near me which is 30 minutes away, I figured I would take my friends and I there to get their advertised "Boo Batter" ice cream before we went to a haunted house. We walked in and the 2 girls working were sitting on the counter which didn't seem very sanitary to us, as my friends and I work in the food industry and then it took them forever to even start one of our orders. My one friend orders with no issues, my second friend orders and wanted KitKats as a mix-in where we hear the news the KitKats that they were shipped were an expired batch (not their fault), and she got the chocolate dipped waffle bowl Then it was my turn, I get the chocolate dipped waffle bowl as well, boo batter, my mix-ins, and before I can even sit down it's dripping all over me. I took a few bites of my ice cream, and something I had mixed in wasn't tasting right or just wasn't good, I have no clue at this point I just wasn't pleased LMAO and my friend said the bowl didn't taste good so I tried hers since I couldn't get to mine without a volcano of melted ice cream going all over the table even worse than it already was. The chocolate on the waffle bowl was very waxy and cheap tasting, and the waffle was stale. I stood up and nicely went over to the girls and asked if I could have my money back. The one girl said yes and the one that made my ice cream very rudely said "well can you bring it over here so I can throw it away" so I stood back and pointed to my table and I asked her how she wanted me to accomplish that since it was a literal disaster. She then said "well then I guess I'll bring a garbage can out there" and the garbage can was about 3 inches higher than the table and as she was trying to successfully lift the ice cream soup into the can, I tilted the can on its side so she could just push it in without making more of a mess. The moral of all of this is, I paid almost 8 dollars for something I couldn't even enjoy.( THANK GOD I could get it back ) Cold stone needs to work on their recipes because the ice cream was gray, not black like they advertised, apparently they need to pay attention to shipments and not send things that are expired, and maybe get some nicer workers. :) hopefully people get a kick out of this. Place was clean and the young people serving were good and friendly. Location has a nice little patio to enjoy the ice cream outdoor. I had a Mud Pie Mojo on a waffle cup, and the waffle was nice and crispy. The cost is a bit expensive, spent $11 for two Love-it sized (medium) ice creams, but they are pretty tasty read more

This was the first trip my family and I have made to Cold Stone and will probably be the last. Upon entering it was very dark inside. We figured out what we wanted and had no problem with getting our orders made. About three bites into my ice cream I saw a hair mixed into my ice cream. I told the young girl behind the counter and her response was a very casual, "Oh, I hope it wasn't ours." I explained to her that it wasn't mine as it had actually been mixed into my ice cream. She then said, "Sorry" and went into the back room. There was no offer to remake my ice cream or any further discussion. I was not rude to the employee during this interaction so I didn't understand the lack of customer service. We went outside so my family could finish their ice cream, but we ended up throwing away about half of our food and left. We have no plans to return. read more

Okay, first off, I LOVE ColdStone's icecream. I'm obsessed. I recently moved to Youngstown where this ColdStone is the closest. The manager, I'm assuming he's the store manager is a jerk. I've been here several times and each time I've seen him mistreat his employees. They are ALWAYS hiring and it's no wonder why, Id never work for that guy! This one time specifically, me and my friend were in line and there was a woman in front of me and just one young girl making icecream and cashing people out. The woman in front of me was getting impatient and started complaining. So the manager walks over and completely claims this girl(who he even mentioned was new). He totally embarrassed her, luckily the woman spoke up and said that she shouldn't have to be by herself specially if she's new. Literally everytime I've been there he's at the very least corrected his staff in a condescending manner. I haven't been back for a while and I must say it's hard going this long without my predacious ColdStone! But I'm afraid next time that guy says something im going to be kicked out permanently anyway! read more

The manager is a complete asshole. He treats. hug his workers like shit, not wonder he has 4 "Now Hiring" signs outside..no body wants to work there! His workers stay there until 1 and 2 in the morning, AT AN ICE CREAM PLACE! He thinks his store is a castle when it's actually a garbage dump. All the ice cream flavors taste the same, and be ready to spend $50 on two bowls of ice cream. Apparently there have been new owners and they are actually really good people compared to the last owner. They treat their workers amazingly and are ready to be apart of a team rather than a boss. 10/10 will go back again. read more

Ordered a cake for my sons birthday could not have been more disappointed that I paid 30 dollars for a small cake that was basically a DQ cake but with gross frosting. Will never again waste money in this place. read more
