    Oreo ice cream cake

Oreo ice cream cake was enjoyable Layers of yellow cake, vanilla ice cream & chocolate ice cream. It didn't really taste really like Oreos, more of a vanilla and chocolate flavor. The Oreos on top are soggy, I guess it's because it was frozen. Our favorite is the A Cheesecake Named Desire pre made ice cream cake, best ever.

How am I ever supposed to lose weight with Cold Stone Creamery and other ice cream and cake shops in existence? I was like a kid in the candy store. I didn't know what to pick. I ended up making my own creation. I did the birthday cake ice cream and added cookie dough, brownie, fudge and caramel with a cone. This is about to get graphic but it was melting and dripping everywhere. I was licking and catching the ice cream as it was coming down Lol. All that to say, it was amazing. I'll be back!

    Clunks of ingredients

My ice cream doesn't even taste like authentic cold stone and I've been coming for YEARS. The guy who prepared my ice cream didn't even mix it well. I had huge clumps of toppings in my ice creAm. Very disproportionated and I'm very disappointed. Worst cold stone experience I've ever had.

This is the gotta have it. I've never made over 7 dollars for two scoops of Icecream that looked like this.

Customer service could use some improvement. Also rations are not typical of other locations. Paid over 7 dollars for two scoops of Icecream that didn't even fill the cup. The cashier was already in argument with a patron that requested sample so I just left. Will never visit again.

January 2001 was when I first experienced Cold Stone out in San Diego, California. Being an ice cream lover, I thought it was the greatest thing ever. Choose your ice cream, then they mix-in whatever you choose on a cold stone, and if you tip them, they sing. It was amazing! A few years later, I found out they were opening one near me in the Village at Waugh Chapel and I had to introduce my wife, who was my girlfriend at the time, to it. I exclaimed, "They make the ice cream for you on a cold stone. It's soooo amazing!" When we got there and they made her a "signature creation," it was a major *whomp whomp* moment. Since I said that they make it, she imagined they had some liquid cream and like one of those ice cream makers that use rock salt, they would make the ice cream before your eyes. When we got outside, I asked, "Isn't it amazing?!?!" "Ummmm, not really," she replied, "they don't make it; they just mix it." ^_^ So unless you want a major *whomp whomp* overhyped moment like I did, make sure you understand what goes on at Cold Stone. Now that several years have passed and I've had more signature creations than I care to count--though I could probably attribute one to each stretch mark that I have--I think Cold Stone is a solid destination for ice cream, but it doesn't wow me anymore. Food stuffs - for one, the ice cream is really, really sweet, which was a good thing in my fatter days in college. They have numerous flavors and mix-ins, including Butterfingers, blueberries and brownies. You can either make your own creation or choose a signature. My favorite is the Founder's Favorite: sweet cream ice cream, caramel, fudge, brownies, and pecans (I ask for almonds since I don't like pecans). A signature creation will run you $5-$6 for 3 sizes: Like It, Love It, Gotta Have It, and by it, they mean diabetes. You'll most likely be able to share the Love Diabetes and Gotta Have Diabetes sizes (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/Hpj6FaRxxuSjL0zJwuhX6w?select=bvPzc0X8RrFPaj88TJ_9iw). I won't reveal the nutrition facts b/c ignorance is bliss when you're indulging, but the information is available on the Cold Stone website. Location - in the same shopping center as Chick-Fil-A., Longhorn, Three Brothers, Shane's Ribshack, and Pho Saigon. Since it's pretty cold out, we were the only patrons for most of our visit last night, but in the summertime, this place gets PACKED! So although the employees are pretty friendly about samples and you being indecisive, the people behind you will likely get increasingly indignant as you ask for your 10th sample. Service - they still sing when you tip here but it can be more depressing than an emo song when business is slow. When the line is long, it can move pretty slowly b/c customers tend to be slow in determining what they want. If it's busy, I recommend saving time and money and grabbing an Ice Dream from Chick-Fil-A.

La Espiga De Oro translates in English to Spike Of Gold…read more Whilst this immediately makes me think of the Golden Spike that connected the transcontinental railroad in the middle of the nation, and was immediately stolen by thieves (probably seconds after the ceremonial driving in); I'm assuming in Spanish that this might be a phrase similar to "Struck Gold", but to be honest, I'm not really sure. If it is similar to "Striking Gold", I would definitely say that this Bakery is very aptly named. It's your typical Latin bakery with fist-sized and larger pastries in large glass shelving units with glass doors on the front that are self-serve. You take a large plastic Mens size shoe box and a set of tongs and just go to town. And you really go to town cause everything is like 55-85 cents. It's stupid cheap. They also have hot foods. My goal right now is to make back to try the hot food bar, but we did decide to try one of the tamales while we were there. First of all, it's the largest tamale I've ever had. It's about the size of a small burrito. It also happens to be one of the most delicious tamales I've ever eaten. 2 large chunks of fork tender pork are hiding beneath the mass of impeccably seasoned masa along with some veg and sauce. I get this and a plastic box of assorted pastries. The pan de queso is delicious. It is the most soft and supple pan de queso I've had, it almost completely falls apart as soon as you take a bite. The cheese flavor is very apparent, and it is balanced. I also try a pineapple layered pastry that is quite delicious, and a soft buttery bread with cheese on the bottom as well. It is REALLY good. I've truly never had Latin pastries that were this good. I haven't had MANY Latin pastries, but these were surely the best out of the few I've had. Can't wait to come back and try more.

I said you have them on your menu, and I pointed them out on the electronic menu board above the register where there's a sign that says "Order here". The cashier couldn't care less. I got the chicken Nachos. The nachos had a white crumbly chees on top, which I assumed to be Cotija cheese, which I am very familiar with. Nope. It was the definitely the dry almost sawdust Kraft pregrated Parmesan "cheese". I thought the chicken would be grilled Pollo. It wasn't. The chicken had the texture of reconstituted freeze dried scrambled eggs. I own a food freeze dryer and I am very familiar with that texture. The yellow cheese sauce was definitely from a can. Skip this place. It's terrible
