Evie was so patient and kind while I was trying to select a flavor that my 4 year old autistic son might approve of. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was there 12/26/23 around closing since we were the last customers before locking up. The line was long but we thought, it's ice cream it can't take that long. It took a longggg time to get to the counter. Not a big deal, but why did it take so long? The two employees were taking scoops of ice cream and trying to put on a show by throwing customers ice cream across the room into the cups. It created many unsanitary situations where they dropped the scoops or touched dirty surfaces like the ceiling with scoops while doing a trick and only dipped them in the water to "sanitize" them. They also wasted roughly $40 worth of ice cream from missing the throws across the entire lobby with every customers order. I haven't been to cold stone for years but I always thought of cold stone as a fancy ice cream place since you're paying $6+ for a scoop, but this place was ratchet. Ordered a Strawberry Milkshake. It was put in a very small cup for the price and without any whipped cream. It was very runny consistency so was basically just strawberry milk. Would maybe pay $2 for it not close to $7. Also got vanilla with Oreos and the ice cream was not even to the top of the bowl. The ice cream also had 1 Oreo chopped in it. Very poor portion for the price I paid. Overall, just a bad experience there at the Cold Stone at Jefferson Pointe. Also, I think it depended on the server you got for how much of a portion you got. Went here during a shopping trip to Jefferson pointe. It's located by the amc theatre. There was a short line but it takes awhile to get to the front to place your order giving you plenty of time to scan the menu and ice cream selections to make your creation. The prices went up so it's anywhere from $5-$9 for ice cream with 1 mix in for free and $1.29 for each additional topping that comes in a cup. Add a cone for $1.79 more. So it could be very pricey. The actual cold stone where they mix in the toppings was a huge mess. Old ice cream in the stone, toppings and ice cream in the cracks between the stone and the toppings area, toppings scattered all over the counter and lids off the containers. Syrup bottles were caked I. Old dried liquid and needed cleaned or thrown out. They do add plenty of topping but if you get something g that needs to be chopped up they don't do a good job at it. The check out area was dirty. Needed wiped off and sanitized.the employees are your typical teenager kids who do. It know the first thing about customer service. The girl I had was extremely rude not friendly and never smiled. She barely said two words to me. I was left on my own to pay and when it didn't work for my payment type I had to wait on her while she was making a Grubhub order. She wasn't available to ask for lids or a bag because I was taking it to go. This place has def gone downhill since my last visit while increasing their prices significantly. Coldstone right after lunch! You never could go wrong with ice cream. We ordered "Founders favorite " and "Birthday Cake Batter". Quick service, not too many people. Offered sanitizer and staff were wearing masks. Not too many guests at the time we visited, 3 to be precise. Our server was friendly and warm, made sure we didn't feel uncomfortable cause of COVID and showed us where the sanitizer is. All wrapped up in less than 6 minutes. The only reason I gave 4* is the bowl waffle seemed to be a day old but I didn't taste that for the cone waffle. So all in all something to note specifically for the waffle bowl. Today we're celebrating a birthday and I choose Coldstone to provide the cake and ice cream. My thought being, why not knock out to steps in one. I'm ever so glad I did. Service: while I was not greeted at the door, the employees were nice none the less. I chalked up the lack of greeting to working on a holiday. Product: I choose the cookies and cream ice cream cake. The cake was "iced" with whip cream and consisted of 2 layers of chocolate cake sandwiched together by a layer of cookies and cream ice cream. They cake was excellent. It was cold and dreamy at the same time. We also opted to get ice cream cupcakes. They too, were "iced" with whip cream, but the cake layer was yellow. They were just enough for teenagers who no longer want to sing the dreaded "Happy Birthday" song. I think I've found my new favorite. read more

It is a decent place. Cold Stone Creamery has a large selection of flavors. However, if you want to add "Mixers" ie. toppings, you pay an additional dollar for anything above one, so the price can really add up. I would say that their ice cream is good, and they have a decent seating area. However, the prices are high. So for me, this would be a place I would go only once in a while. Me and the wife stopped in last night after a pretty atrocious dinner elsewhere. The line was wrapped around the inside and was busy. The crew here worked diligently and through a few snags with credit card receipt tape and after about a 15-20 minute wait we were served. Despite the ever growing line, we were served with a smile. My wife got her usual birthday cake shake and I ordered a mud pie mojo waffle cone. It was heaven! Coffee ice cream, fudge, peanut butter, and roasted almonds in a wonderfully cinnamon flavored waffle cone. It was magic! The manager should be proud of their team for handling a constant rush the way they did. Excellent service and excellent product. I tend to go for Cake Batter or Sweet Cream based items though the chocolate based ones look delish but rich! The family group I was with go out rarely and only do chains. With dread I logged my every few years trip to a Cold Stone this evening. My group's selects were All Lovin' No Oven, Founder's Favorite, a chocolate with chocolate chips custom bowl, and a bowl of raspberry plain. + Enough staff that we didn't have to wait to be served on a Friday night + 15 varieties of ice cream bases available including a seasonal offer, and all 4 of ours were fresh - Staff gave me a sample on my request of the seasonal Dark Chocolate Peppermint, but had no suggestions for mix ins. There was a slight peppermint flavor that came through after the chocolate. To my surprise there was no peppermint candy in the base (think Edy's) AND no crushed candy canes or anything minty for a mix in! - Dirty tables and floor was so dirty with actual melted ice cream one in our group didn't want to watch someone step in it and told the staff it was there. - My Founder's Favorite was mixed beyond recognition. No swirls of caramel or fudge, it was a hodge podge and looked a mess. There are other options in the area and I suggest trying one of them before this location of Cold Stone. read more

I ordered a pint of ice cream $13 it was cookie dough Carmel fudge cake batter ice cream and of course cookie dough and a mint chocolate chip shake previously the last month service was great and the employee was very nice this time I can't say the same me and my husband were in line and a couple behind us they ordered 2 cups of ice cream they were served and checked out before she even started our ice cream when it was finally our turn the lady was rude and didn't really know what she was doing and didn't really mix my ice cream up all the way then she only put 2 cookie dough circles in a big tub of ice cream!!! Outrageous when I usually go I get at least that much cookie dough circles in my normal bowl but seriously 2 that's it for a whole tub of specialized ice cream that I am paying $13 for! The employee that we went to before last month was amazing and the ice cream was phenomenal and she put more cookie dough than that in there and actually mixed up my ice cream all the way and filled my tub full! This employee literally scooped up some normal ice cream and added it to the top of my tub to finish filling it! I love it when they sing to me! I have never had a bad experience here. In fact I think the young ice cream makers go out of their way to interact and some times entertain their customers. It's pricy but it's really really delicious so I don't seem to mind. So far I've had the Birthday Batter and the Mint Mint Chocolate Chip. Both are great. Always pretty disappointed in the service I get here, due to the amount of time it takes to wait in line; however, Mother's Day was on a new level. Waited in line for at least 20 minutes only to find out that almost every flavor (specifically chocolate & vanilla) they ran out of. They only had 6 flavors total remaining at 7:00 (on the first warm Sunday night of the year), and offered no recommendations of things they may be able to do to substitute the flavors for their signature dishes. Also, never once did they make any announcements, post any signs, etc. to let customers know.
