Oh my goodness this food was AMAZING!! I arrived there like 5 mins before closing and they were so awesome that they still made me some chicken and I got the most delicious ice cream as well!! Cuz I was working and on the road all day long I was trying to find somewhere to eat and get ice cream as well and I got into town later than I expected so that's why I arrived right before closing. I wasn't just being a jerk lol. read more

We headed here for dinner and dessert all in one. luckily there was not a big crowd. The fried chicken was super crispy and the sauces were unique. The heat is very minimal. The cheese fries were disappointing with the darken color and it was lightly dusted with cheese powder. I was expecting it to be like the cheesy corn. The Thai rolled ice cream hit the spot with bright colors and the perfect sweetness. Pro tip if it's too much ice cream you can have them split it. Summary: go for the chicken and finish your meal with ice cream but skip the fries! read more

Both Seoul chicken and sweet monster are located inside this one shop. We tried the chicken from Seoul chicken and it was pretty good. The chicken itself was not flavorful, but it had a nice crunch and texture and the sauces were pretty good. The chicken was made to order and we didn't have to wait long for our food. We probably waited around 10 minutes. We also tried some milk teas from sweet monster and they were really good. Both flavors we picked were pretty sweet, but we really enjoyed them. The location doesn't have a lot of seating inside so I would keep groups to a smaller amount if planning to eat inside. read more

Walked in and it was obvious that she was busy. And we expected to have to wait for our ice cream. But we stood at the register for 10 mins, with the worker walking past us SEVERAL times. Yes, Korean Fried Chicken inside an ice cream shop. We tried the K-Town Buffalo Wings, Korean Cheese Fries, and Cheesy Corn. The wings were meaty, crispy, and packed with great flavor--definitely the highlight of the meal. The fries had a decent taste and were nice and crispy, but they really needed some ketchup, which unfortunately wasn't available. The Cheesy Corn, however, was disappointing and I wouldn't recommend it. Awkward dining experience--eating fried chicken while everyone around us was having ice cream felt a bit off. Overall, good wings, but the atmosphere was a bit strange, and the other items could use improvement. read more

Read the reviews but son seen the photos and still wanted to try....should've trusted my gut because it was such a waste of time and money. We received the same 1STAR service as the others Staff was rude, ordering was cringey, place wasn't clean, lots of gossiping between two workers while the one guy completed all orders. Son was interested in a colored waffle Taco and was told "we dont do that often, all we do is add dye to the batter" turns to keep talking First impressions matter and this just didnt do it. Saw this place on an Instagram review of Seoul Chicken and decided to give it a try! We knew it was an ice cream place lol but honestly we came for the chicken! It was crowded when we arrived and we had to shuffle through the crowd to get to the ordering area, but no big deal. The girl who took our order was friendly and recommended the Seoul Sassy Wings, the BokBok Chicken, and the Cheese Fries! We also ordered a Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream to share. The wait for the food wasn't too bad probably about 15min; which we didn't mind as the chicken is made fresh! After getting our chicken we waited maybe another 5 min for our ice cream. Everything was delicious! The wings are crispy perfection and the sauces are amazingly flavorful! The BokBok Chicken is reminiscent of YumYum sauce but waaay better! The Seoul Sassy is gingery garlicky goodness! The fries...surprisingly so yummy, taken to the next level when dipped in the BokBok sauce! Our ice cream was delicious as well! Ribbons of strawberry sauce rolled into the cheesecake ice cream and topped with cake crumbles, graham crackers, strawberries and whipped cream! It was so pretty, unfortunately we devoured it before getting a pic! Overall, we loved our experience! The only thing that can be improved is crowd management and cleaning tables and chairs between customers. Even with that still very much a 10/10! We will certainly be back! read more

We Saw that they now do a Ghost Kitchen that does wings. I do love WINGS! So we decide to drop by and see the place ourselves. service was decent. It's $9.99 for 6 WEE LITTLE wings. Not sure but the size of them they could have been Hummingbird wings, but they were just plain small wings. We tryed 4 different styles of sauces wings. SAME SAME. It took almost an hour. And parking is Ick! I would not recommend. read more

I stopped in late one evening for a treat. This is a busy busy place. It's full of sweet treats and fun ideas. They offer most sweet small treats your ice cream heart could desire. The location is easy to access in the rear of the meijer parking lot. It's on a corner near the end of the strip plaza. Even at 8pm , the shop was busy. It was full of families. They shop had about 6 employees fulfilling orders. I can see the need to have so many employees, it's constantly busy and they have to hand roll each order. They process is seamless, start to finish, for the customer. The employees are so busy it seems they have to have a certain pace to keep the flow of traffic moving. I had the strawberry cheesecake. It was $6.59. It was really tasty and the strawberry's were fresh. It was so much I couldn't finish it. While it was really good and a nice break, it wasn't exceptional, IMO. It was really good. read more

Stopped in here late on a Sunday night. Not too busy but not dead. I was curious to see how this place was after being told by some locals to check it out. I have had rolled ice cream before, it seems to be becoming the next big thing for ice cream shops. I liked their flavor options and really cool idea for the taco shaped waffle cones. I ordered the mint Oreo . There weren't many choices for types of milk or if I could go non-dairy. The ice cream was a little too creamy/sticky and melted very quickly. I'm not too sure why but the consistency of the ice cream wasn't my favorite. It tasted great, but again the flavor just wasn't my favorite. I thought the presentation of the single roll in the waffle taco was great and the ice cream maker was super nice. Overall, a solid ice cream place with really creative presentation but I felt the flavors didn't meet what I anticipated through the appearance. Definitely check it out for yourself! read more

This place used to have such a cool atmosphere, but it has in my opinion become very neglected as far as cleanliness. The service is very slow as it seems to take about 7-10 minutes to make the rolled ice cream. Typically I only see two people in there working at a time. So expect to wait a little bit longer for your order. The ice cream flavors and options themselves are always delicious and satisfying! My favorite rolled ice cream option is the strawberry cheesecake! This time I went with s'mores, still tasty! read more

Worst boba place that I've ever been to. Horrible service. The two workers were very unprofessional and openly messing around and throwing things at each other while making our drinks. The place smells of cleaner. The drinks were also awful. The Thai tea tasted like super sugary creamer and the passionfruit tea was an expensive cup of tea with syrup. Will not return. read more

I saw a sign outside that they sell chicken. Stepped in to give it a try. To my surprise. The chicken was really good. Each other was made fresh. Yet the wait time was not long. I've tried other chicken places in FW and the wait time is much longer. The wings are also a good size. Not big and not small. Definitely worth the price. read more

Great place but if you have food allergies ask first. There is the menu that lists ingredients on it but they added nuts to mine that I shouldn't have had. We ordered a peanut butter thing that was going to have bananas, nutty butters, and Reese's. I asked for the ice cream to be more chocolatly so they put more syrup on top of the ice cream instead of mixing it in and when I realized they were adding nuts to it I asked them to not to (I'm allergic to a preservative on them), but they didn't tell me they were putting some inside it too. Good thing I don't have a deadly allergy, but just ended up with a tummy ache. Other than this little mess up I'd probably come back. I definitely learned to ask more questions before I order. read more

Only giving a one-star to make sure it registers in the algorithm. Sadly disappointing. When Sweet Monster originally opened they attempted to keep it clean, courteous and quick service. Two weeks ago my wife and I decided to get an ice cream from Sweet Monster. The facility was unclean and unkempt. The employees were disengaged with the customers while loudly played inappropriate, sexually explicit, music. In addition due to the limited employees our order took considerably longer than expected. While we ate our ice cream we made the decision not provide Sweet Monster with our future business unless serious changes are made to correct the poor customer experience. read more

I spent the last three days really wanting tea, but denying myself until it was 830 at night on a Monday and the only place open was this place. I asked for a Thai iced tea with Boba, and got the ubiquitous "Give me a tip before you have any idea what my quality of service is going to be" screen as I checked out. I don't know what it is they think they're doing, but I got something that came out of a blender, and if it had Boba in it at all, it was blended into it because this was just a sweet orange tea. Like half of the joy of a Thai iced tea is mixing it yourself and what is it doing in a blender?! I tried to go back to complain they had a ridiculous line because they are slow and for some reason people (I assume who have never been here before) show up to stand in line in a sticky floor. So I just threw the whole awful thing in the trash. Worst I have ever had, not worth the calories and I am livid at the prospect that I waited three days to have whatever this was. I guess $8.42 is a cheap lesson to know to NEVER go here. read more

12/29/2023. It will be interesting to see if this place will be able to keep its doors open. We went there for the first time tonight and didn't think such poor service existed. Thankfully there are plenty other places in Ft. Wayne that actually care about their customers. The place was staffed by teenagers tonight who were WAY more interested in talking amongst themselves since even the basic task of saying 'hello' to those who entered was beyond their training. The cashier was unable to speak loud enough to be understandable and the girls rolling the ice cream gave a collective impression they were merely waiting for their shift to end, an end that would come quicker if it weren't for those pesky customers. I asked a question of one of the workers about their product and was ignored. I thought perhaps she didn't hear me when I saw how they treated others and knew it was intentional. We did receive our orders and ate them at one of the handful of tables. While we did we saw a total of seven people walk in, get similar 'service' and then promptly leave... all within ten minutes. We simply couldn't believe what we saw... but then we just experienced the same treatment. There are too many other places that are actually thankful to have customers stop in so tonight's visit was a one time only experience. I would leave zero stars if possible. read more

PERFECTION IN A CONE!!!! Maybe consider sharing, the portions are enormous, you can't pick a bad flavor.

Place used to be amazing. Owners have given up. Extremely high turn over rate, cleanliness has gone down the drain. Staff are young and disrespectful. No greeting, staring and side eyeing : making jokes. Took us 15 min to get our order taken. It's depressing. I used to love this place. Just be prepared to be disappointed if you used to frequent this place. I won't be surprised if it's gone by the next time I muster the strength to come back. read more

Wowowow! I love Sweet Monster! I have never been into rolled ice cream and I honestly thought it was a waste of food. Then I went in and got a strawberry, banana and Nutella sundae and watched them make it. The ice cream is a liquid which they pour onto a frozen surface and scrape it into rolls. There is just the same amount of ice cream that would be lost to a scoop or the sides of a container. The ice cream is delicious and the toppings are all fresh. The ice cream reminded me of the banana split dip and dots but better quality. Definitely give this place a try! read more

Was really excited to try Sweet Monster because of all of the hype it has gotten being the new place in town. Unfortunately, it didn't quite meet my expectations. We arrived on a Friday evening for a post dinner treat. There was a decent line and they were pleasantly busy. They moved people through the line quickly. The space is crowded and a little hard to navigate with the line butting up right next to tables. I felt like no matter where I stood I was in the way. The service was good, but nothing over the top. They were pleasant and got us what we needed. I really like the unique concept of the rolled ice cream made to order, it definitely sets them apart. When we got up to order I decided to try the salted caramel in a waffle taco. Go big or go home, right? The presentation was great and looks scrumptious, but the flavor of the ice left more to desired IMHO. I am not opposed to returning and trying something else to give it another shot, but it's probably not top on my list. Give it a try and decide for yourself! read more

This place is crazy! Fun to watch the crew expertly roll your ice cream from scratch. While not inexpensive, totally worth it for a little treat. I recommend getting the waffle taco for $1 extra. read more

This is a Thai rolled ice cream shop that also serves milk shakes and bubble teas. We only got ice cream so we cannot speak to the other products. A few things to know. First they appear to only take credit cards as I only saw people paying with credit and a girl in a group in front of us actually asked her friend to pay for hers because she only had cash so she gave her friend the cash and the friend paid with card. Second there are no "sizes". All of the ice creams are one size priced at 5.95 each. They each come with mix-ins into the ice cream and then also with predetermined toppings based on the flavor of product you order. (Ex Smore's comes with a toasted marshmallow, Hershey's and graham crackers on top). If you want additional toppings you can pay extra starting at 50 cents each. We went with our two 4 yo kids and I'd advise that this is not a great place to take smaller kids. It was fun for them to watch the process of it being made but there are no kid sizes so if each kid want their own flavor then that's a big huge portion and it's going to be $6 each. If you can get your kids to agree on a flavor or like your flavor they will give you extra bowls so you can take a roll or two out of yours along with some toppings and share. This is what we did. But I had to do some convincing and I essentially compromised into getting a flavor the kids wanted instead of what I wanted. The kids and I had the Cookie Monster (blue one) and my older niece got the s'mores. I tasted hers as well as eating some of mine and honestly I thought that the concept is better than the actual flavor. I didn't think there was enough overall flavor in the ice cream to warrant a higher than just average for this review. There isn't a lot of seating in the location. I imagine maybe when the weather improves they may add more seating outside? I'd hope so. We did have to wait a while in line on a Friday at 5pm but as this is a new "hot topic" place we expected as much and the line went quicker than I expected. read more

So DISAPPOINTED! Had high hopes for this place, left discouraged at best. Walking in the color scheme is nice and welcoming. As you stand in line you start to notice how unclean the base boards are. You go towards the back to the restrooms and the dirt level goes through the roof (like health board needs to check this place out) bad. Bathrooms are unacceptable for the age of this building. Customer service was rude because I didn't know that something they had listed on the menu was out of stock. And to top it off, they got our order wrong. Was it good, yeah, but not good enough to ignore the lack of cleanliness. I mean this place serves food! read more

Typically we rely on Yelp to a T....tonight we went to Sweet Monster Ice Cream even though it only had 3.5 stars, and seriously regret it. The place was dirty....unacceptably so, clearly whoever works there isn't concerned with cleanliness. Great experience every time! The service was average but the icecream tasted delicious!

Sweet Monster is a new ice cream shop, specializing in "rolled ice cream", milkshakes & bubble teas. I had never heard of rolled ice cream before, and definitely never had been to an ice cream shop that served bubble teas. Fortunately, it has this type of uniqueness to stand out & hopefully people like, because for the price & other ice cream shops in the area, I don't see it keeping the type of crowds it's currently pulling since just opening. Especially because many restaurants haven't done well in this space, so I'm anxious to see how it goes. The service is great. Everyone is friendly & helpful. They push you through the line quickly to pay & just call our numbers for your order. Unlike most local ice cream shops, the space is fairly large, so you're not cramped while waiting. They also have some great music playing, definitely targeted towards millennials. I ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake. The presentation was awesome, which I think is necessary to compete with other shops in the area. Also, the ice cream tastes good, but it is hard to categorize what it's comparable to because even though it's still ice cream - it's a totally different taste and concept. Overall, the prices are a bit high (about $7, plus the obligatory "tip option" on the iPad), but the service, space, vibe & food is good. I would recommend anyone to give this place a try. read more

The shop is very aesthetic and a great place to take pictures with your ice cream, bubble tea, etc. It gets pretty busy in the evening and night time so expect a long line during then. Got the classic milk tea boba and the flavor of the milk tea is very similar to other bubble tea shop's milk teas! The boba was too squishy for me, like it was soaked for too long.
