It's dangerous to have a Cold Stone so close to where we are staying. How can you not love this place? The variety of ice cream flavors and mix-ins is fabulous! I opted for the Founder's Delight with almonds instead of pecans and it was delicious as usual. The workers were all great, happy, and quick. Very disappointed in the customer service I ordered and paid for a custom cake for my daughter's birthday specified the time to pick it up and they forgot to mix in to the ice cream what I had ordered which again is their specialty so I had to come back four hours later after plans had to be changed and was told that they offered to give my husband chocolate chips that were to be incorporated into the SPECIALTY cake . Love the ice cream here!! So many choices of delicious ice cream and mix- ins. My fav is just sweet cream with lots of almonds + pecans mixed in!! My only complaint is that I can't stop eating it ‼I always end up getting the largest container. I think it's 1 1/2 pts or a quart. I've been going to this Cold Stone since I was in elementary school (I'm now a few years post-college). It's one of my favorite places to get ice cream and I have a lot of memories there. The staff of the shop come and go, so if someone is not my favorite, I know that I probably won't see them again since it's a high turn over position (entry-level). Overall the place is always clean and inviting, I get a great serving size, and the service is relatively quick. My husband has a severe peanut allergy and the staff has always been kind and understanding in following their procedures for this. I will continue to visit this shop for ice cream and look forward to taking my own kiddos there! read more

It was a rather long night, and I was not looking forward to the next high, mundane, apathetic teenager I had to deal with (I am not generalizing just had a few bad cold stone experiences in my past). To my surprise, a very quick witted and quite handsome individual greeted me. His name was Tyler, or "Ty" as he preferred. I could have just paid for a look in to his steely blue eyes if I'm honest. Everything was so fast, orderly, coherent, and simply pleasant. I was out in a jif, and home in time to see my kids before they went to bed. Drove the family a little farther than usual because I had a coupon (Hooked app). During the order I showed it and was told (rather sharply) that it was for the Laurel location and would not be honored. OK, it DID clearly say "Laurel" on the app, but I've never had a chain outlet reject a coupon from a different location (especially same city). Perhaps the Cold Stones have separate owners that don't get along. In that case the Harmony owner is really shortsighted not leveraging something the Laurel owner paid for (Hooked charges steep listing fees) It was a frustrating lesson to learn. Ice cream was just as good as the usual cold stone but his place was disgusting. 5 employees were behind the counter when we came and yet no table was clean. As we ordered three employees went to the back and participated in a conversation that was so loud I had to repeat my order twice and the noise continued throughout the meal. After we ordered I noticed the guy who helped me repeatedly wiped his nose with the back of his hand and forearm while prepping the ice cream and ingredients. It made eating what he just made me, disgustingly impossible and I couldn't finish my ice cream. The table we sat at had numerous spills that were overlapping indicating the table hadn't been wiped in awhile, maybe all day. I went into the store on Harmony to order a birthday cake for my daughter on Tuesday for it to be ready on Sunday. And not only did they not have it ready, they questioned if I was in the right location which was an insult. They wanted to just make me take a random cake out of the freezer which I wanted to avoid by ordering a specialty cake. When I finally made them give me my money back. I left and called the owner to complain and found out she had been there the whole time and didn't even bother to come and speak to a disgruntled customer. Went in for ice cream the other night and was kind of disappointed. I mixed two ice cream flavors (cinnamon & coffee) and one of them was either old or have been left out too long - there were chewy bits all throughout my ice cream. I never knew ice cream could get dry and chewy. I was disappointed because the flavor was good and I wanted to keep eating I just couldn't - had to throw it away. Great place for ice cream! Serve good sizes that are appropriately full. Wait is usually not long if at all. They do a great job on the mix-ins. Flavor and quality of the ice cream has been exceptional when we've gone (lots of times)! We often have 5 of us there and end up very happy. There are several other ice cream and yogurt places around this corner of town, but they pale in service and in quality compared to Cold Stone! The cashiers have even sung on birthdays for us.
