The atmosphere is one of the best parts -- cool historic building, relaxed vibe, and just a really comfortable place to spend time. It feels like the kind of spot you can use for anything: work meetings, hanging out with friends, or just enjoying a quiet morning by yourself. The issue was that the cheesecake was completely cracked across the top and the side, indicating that it was overcooked. The online website listed a price of $8 cheaper than was quoted over the phone, so I paid more for a small cheesecake that was still cracked-- $30 for a small, overcooked cheesecake. Sadly no apology was offered. I had really high hopes for this, as it was for my girlfriend's birthday and cheesecake is her favorite and I decided to order one instead of making one, and it ended up falling short of expectations.

We kept them in the refrigerator, and after a day the other ones took on some of the candy cane peppermint... yet all still tasty and cake texture was just as divine. The cake is a bit denser - not a complaint! more like homemade than big box store! - so the frosting and fruit topping was a great combo to add to the mouthfeel and contrast of the cake and the graham cracker crust. Next time, ill enjoy this lovely mini cake by the slice instead of spontaneous fork'fuls to get a better balance of cake:fruit top:crust ratio per bite. The cake round was maybe 5 inches and would've been lovely in slices of fourths or sixths. It was a great spontaneous dessert buy and we'll be back again. I saw the other community reviews of the specialty cakes ordered, and look forward to ordering a special cake for our next special occasion. Friendly service and clean storefront and cake display. Get there early! We came late morning on a Saturday and there was, understandably, a wait. It was worth it. They do have outside seating. This particular morning was chilly so all seating was inside. My husband had a BLT on baguette that came with their seasoned potatoes. He said the baguette had a nice chew to it and the bacon was crispy. The potatoes were delicious. My daughter chose the Parisian Crepe. It had fresh berries, whipped cream, raspberry coulis and maple syrup. She savored each bite. I selected the Croque Madame. It is one of my favorites, and I normally cannot find it anywhere. Croque Madame is an open faced sandwich. They used brioche bread for the base, then had ham and Swiss cheese over bechamel with poached eggs perched on top. I chose to get the side salad with was mixed greens and vinaigrette. We all enjoyed our breakfast. Even with the crowd, we did not feel rushed. The service was great. Our water was kept filled throughout. I would definitely go back. Next time I want to check out the bakery portion.
