I liked the way this store sells froyo: charging by the oz. I did not want to eat a big dessert and my serving was just around $3.25. This way, I could pay for what I wanted, not like the old way with the minimum of one scoop of ice cream. My froyo cup was not too sweet and it tasted good. The two young men who managed the store that evening were friendly. They took turns stationing at the counter. One of them always had a smile on and answered my questions patiently. I really felt welcome there. I would definitely go back the next time I am in that area.

Before I could finish speaking, I was repeatedly told my total and instructed to pull forward. When I reached the window, I asked to speak with the manager. He said, "I remember you," which immediately made me uncomfortable. At first, I didn't recognize him, but then I remembered a previous interaction we had when he was an employee. During that conversation, he repeatedly insisted they had tried to take my order correctly and claimed they never heard me say I had a second order. My concern wasn't that they couldn't hear me--it was that every time I tried to correct the order, I was interrupted and rushed. The previous incident I remembered happened because I had placed a mobile order for pickup. The parking lot at the MLK location was completely full, so I went through the drive-thru to pick it up. He told me it was an inside pickup order, not a drive-thru order, despite there being nowhere to park. That interaction wasn't handled professionally, and today's conversation made me feel like he had already formed an opinion about me before we even spoke. I understand that mornings can be busy and that mistakes happen. However, customers should be allowed to finish placing their orders without being rushed, and they should be treated with respect when they have a concern.
