Not sure how this place is still in business. I think we finally have given up coming here we've given it 3 tries in the past 6 months. The ice cream is consistently Is super soft and almost melting within a minute. (It's too soft when it gets on the slate and you can see it Melting when they mix it at this location and others ) The place is always messy.....chairs in front of the ice cream window...so shorter kiddos can't see. There are tables and chairs haphazardly stuff in area in front Of yogurt machine and bathrooms are closed. (At least organize it or take the tables chairs to a storage facility) Disappointing franchise. There are 2 other options within a few hundred yards. read more

Sorry to say, but this will be the last time I go to this particular cold stone. I've been they the years to other locations and had a really nice experience. This location needs serious overhaul with training the staff. Today I ordered what I always get which is one of the specialty mixtures and yet again I did not receive what is supposed to be in this mixture. What I got basically was chocolate ice cream with a couple of pieces of peanut butter cups. I have gone to other Cold Stones and they serve up a really great ice cream. I'm still waiting to figure out how to get a refund for my sisters birthday cake that no one could make. When I went in the kid working couldn't refund it, had no cakes on hand, told me I had to come back "some other day". well what day? Tomorrow? We have always had a good experience but last night I went here for ice cream sandwiches for my kids. None were in the case so I asked the cashier if they had them and got them from the back. I noticed they were thin and asked if they changed them and she said yes. I get them home and (see pics) they were melted and refrozen. We definitely love going to Cold Stone. When we went to the Edgewater location, our experience was less than impressive. It was very busy with very little staff who were not friendly at all. We ordered the Banana Bread special.....had ZERO bananas in it. The Strawberry was good, as always. I would drive to any other location then Edgewater. read more

1. I purchased a Cake and cupcakes online for a Birthday party. I was scheduled to pick them up on the afternoon of 3/22. 2. I stopped by the Edgewater Cold Stone during the early afternoon on 3/22 and the store was closed without any notice on the door. 3. After that I called several times, no one picked up and I was not given the option to leave a message. 4. I contacted Cold Stone corporate online on 3/23, left an incident report but never got a reply. 5. We tried calling several more times to no avail. I never received a call saying my order was ready for pickup whenever The Edgewater Cold Stone reopened. 6. I went to this Coldstone on 5/15 when the stay at home order was rescinded. I figured since I ordered a standard cake and cupcakes I could finally get them or at least be given a refund. I was told that I would get neither. So they took my $63 bucks and didn't provide me anything other than a ruined Birthday Party. Nothing regarding any of the items above is acceptable. At the minimum I should receive a refund. Ruining a Birthday Party is bad enough, but stiffing me for a cake and cupcakes that I was not able to receive is not the way a business should be run. The time I've had to spend on this has been taking away from many more important things during this very challenging time. read more

Wow! We visited Cold Stone because someone had given us a gift card and we will be returning. Getting ice cream with two children is an adventure in itself but the people working were kind, listened and found ways to make the experience special for the children. On June 4th my friend and I walked into this location at 9:04pm to get ice cream for my mom and we were denied service and told that they were closed. We went back to my car confused because the open sign was on and the doors were unlocked and tried to call my mom a couple times to see if she wanted ice cream from somewhere else and never answered. By the time we were about to drive away it was 9:12pm and we saw a single lady walk in and get served by the same person who told us that they were closed. We emailed management and called them but never got an explanation as to what happened. The only explanation I can think of is the fact that my friend and I are gay and the person working simply didn't want to serve us. The girl working the counter was the nastiest person. I placed an order for an ice cream cake 24 hours before I went to pick it up. When I walked into the store, she was sitting down doing nothing. I asked her the prices for some items in the refrigerator and she begrudgingly answered me. She didn't seem to want to be bothered. She went to check on the cake and she told me that she was sorry but she didn't have it and it would take 15 minutes to make it. I told her that I couldn't wait because I was at work. I asked for a manager and she said there wasn't one available. I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me. She said that her name would be on the receipt. I asked for the receipt and she said she couldn't give me the receipt without my credit card. I told her that I paid in gift cards. She asked for the gift card and I told her that I threw them away. She still wouldn't give me her name. She also wouldn't give me a refund. I started to film her refusing to give me my refund and she told me that she didn't give me permission to film her. Then she started filming me. I am never going back there. Their customer service is horrendous. I had no cake for the birthday party and I didn't have the extra money to buy another cake. Won't be going back to this location. 20 minutes before close, had to walk around trash just to get to the front door. I asked if they were closed since it appeared that way but the sign said they were open till 9. The response from the man cleaning up the tables said "almost." I asked what does that mean, he repeated almost. He got in my face and asked me what my problem with that answer was. His attitude obviously! I asked for the name of the owner. Ever throw away a hot fudge sundae? We managed to throw out two. We opted for the frozen vanilla yogurt as our base. C'mon this is not a new product. It was grainy, off colored, and had absolutely no flavor. The hot fudge was neither hot nor fudgy. I suspect opening up a bottle of corn syrup and adding it to my depressing bowl would have resulted in the same taste profile. Pecans and peanuts? Yes if you like stale, soft nuts to grace your already disaster of a sundae. Saved many a calorie that day. read more

This was a terrible experience and I love ice cream! They made my ice cream and then scooped more than half of it off when I asked for a lid to go instead of just putting it in a bigger cup. I took my two little sisters with me and they only managed to get 1/3 orders right. First, they were out of most of their toppings. Then they somehow contaminated my sisters cotton candy ice cream with peanut butter that she never asked for, and it wasn't just a little bit. I also got the cotton candy ice cream and it was very flavorless. It literally tasted like water with bits of crunchy ice and my sisters agreed. I have no words as to how rude the girl behind the counter was tonight. My friend, my boyfriend and I went in around 8:50pm to get some ice-cream. I understand it's frustrating to have a couple people come in ten minutes before closing; however her behavior was obscene, it was appalling. First, she asked us, "What do you want." and after we ordered our first ice cream she then said, "what else." even before the first ice cream was in our hands. My friend can speak and understand a bit of Spanish which is what she was talking to her co-worker in, she proceeded to tell him "We have ten minutes, why are people coming in?" Also she said in English, (it's still about 8:50ish) "I'm about to lock the door", he replied, "well we have ten minutes", she proceeded to say, "I don't give a f**k." I'm sorry but this is unacceptable, they were still OPEN and OUR BUSINESS should NOT be an inconvenience to the employees. I still cannot believe how horribly we were treated, and I can't wait to give corporate a call in the morning. While I am an avid fan of Cold Stone, this store in particular needs an overhaul. Last night was the third time in a year that I've been to this shop and have left without ice cream. The service is deplorable. I stood at the service counter, while the only two employees bumbled their way to making a mans order. In the ten minutes I stood there, I wasn't even looked at. My 73 year old mother remarked about the Strawberry Splendor cake looking so nice. Knowing Mothers Day was coming up, and that she asks for something so seldom, I went online and placed an order, on April 29th for the small cake to be picked up on the afternoon of May 8th. I arrived at the Edgewater store, with a copy of the order AND confirmation on my cell. The young man went to the back to get it for me, only to return several minutes later with no cake. I was told that 'the designer must have missed my order' and the earliest anyone could have the cake ready for me was 7:00pm in the evening. Knowing that the gathering family would have come and gone by that point, I asked to see what other options there were. I ended up settling on a 6 pk of cupcakes, because I needed something to serve. My purchase for the cake was refunded, with no questions asked. I was disheartened to see that there was really no apology beyond that. I took my back-up purchase and left the store. I chose not to make a scene, as it would have made no difference. Very disappointed that the ordering system failed. Will not be returning to their establishment. read more

Although the service was absolutely horrible, the one women with the dark hair and pierced eye brow was extremely rude and short with us and was sighing heavily and rolling her eyes at everything we said. this place has been incredibly disappointing every time i have visited. it's one thing to be waiting somewhere when its actually busy, but countless times myself and my friends have gone in here and been completely ignored. the team members are either in the back talking to each other or behind the counter on the phone, and never acknowledge us come in. when we do finally get served, the customer service is unpleasant. you can feel the attitude when you walk through the door, as if they don't even want you to come in. one day it was 15 minutes until they opened; i pulled on the door and it was still locked. the girl inside (i think her name is Kim) would not give me a signal to let us know they won't serve us until 1:00pm on the dot. She didn't even look up at me.. why would you want to turn away money????? I look forward to a nice treat once in a while but I'll have to find some place else to do it I guess.
