I consider myself a cake lover for sure and have had my fair share of purchasing delicious cakes…read moreand have had amazing cake designers. Baking is definitely an art and an art I do not have myself, but I'm beyond willing to purchase and pay the price for what I want. This place is a disaster, but will go straight to what matters. We purchased a three tier cake two of the tiers on the bottom being dummies and only a 9in on top was real. We paid $242 for a 9in cake with two dummies. Again if I would have got what I wanted I really wouldn't care. Let's start with the quality of the cake. OMG! first of all who ever baked the cake isn't a baker. The middle was moist but about 1in of the cake towards the outside was hard as a rock. We literally had to dig to get the good part of the cake. The chocolate was so lite didn't even taste like a good chocolate cake. I asked for chocolate mousse and that was the weakest mousse ever had no volume nor fluff. So safe to say the cake itself was bad. We would have been better going to fresh market or sams. Now the Embellishments and decor was so out dated and it had no pop nor anything extravagant look. Mind you I paid $242 because I wanted a show stopper cake for my sons 1st bday. I was extremely disappointed with not only the quality of cake but beyond disappointed with the art work. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Nice people but it takes more then being nice to run a successful bakery. They also added a smash cake for pictures when my son went to obviously smash it the cake was rock hard with frost bite. My mouth just dropped. Now the owner did give me a discount in the morning because the cake wasn't done and ready at the time agreed on. Honestly I could have looked past all that. What I can't look past is the quality, lack of decor and professionalism. We will not be purchasing our wedding cake nor husbands retirement cake from here this follow year.

I recently had an incredible meal at Chilango Pride a hidden gem of a Mexican bakery and restaurant…read moreright here in Columbus. They bring the authentic flavors of Mexico City to life with scratch-made pan dulce, pastries, and stunning custom cakes. Their bakery cases are filled with traditional favorites like conchas, mantecadas, marranitos, and ojo de buey, alongside a great selection of savory dishes, Mexican Coke, and Jarritos. For my meal, I ordered the chilaquiles verdes--which were absolutely delicious--paired with a refreshing tamarind Jarritos, my absolute favorite flavor. Beyond the food, the hospitality completely steals the show. The owner and chef, Raul, embodies the warm, welcoming spirit you would expect from a true Mexico City neighborhood spot. He is incredibly courteous, friendly, and fantastic to chat with. On top of the stellar service, the dining room, tables, and floors were spotlessly clean. Look for the building with the white siding and the green roof at 3501 Hamilton Road.

They have generous hours of operation which is great because many bakeries/cafes are closed by the time I get off work. Decided to get a few after dinner treats to share with my husband and was overwhelmed by how many delicious looking options they had! The service was wonderful and a woman working there (I will have to get her name next time) took time to tell me what everything was and help me decide what to try. I went with a mini cheesecake, a cinnamon roll, and a soft bread with custard (forgot to take a pic of this one before we started eating it). All of them were delicious!!! I will definitely be back and plan to be a regular customer here! I was told they will soon begin serving breakfast here as well which I am excited to try!
