They have flavorful buns both sweet and savory as well as many other baked goods that you would hope to get at a bakery like this. I have to immediately jump to the beef curry bun. It comes warm and it is super flavorful. It is now hard to think about going back here without picking up this bun. I know they had a vegetarian curry bun when I was there too but I have yet to try it. I also tried the passionfruit mochi donut and thought it was the best mochi donut I have had. The fruit flavor was perfectly sweet and tart and the mochi was chewy without being unyielding. I have not gone back to try their drinks but I know they have a menu for coffees and teas. They also have a punch card system so make sure you save that when you go and make purchases. It is a small location and they might be a bit busy but they always are going fast. I will go back lots more from here on out.

Yes, this is a Wedding and more Bakery, Protected by The Gargoyles, in business since 1983! Still family owned, Ali is the lovely family member I spoke with, there was so much to see besides the scrumptious, pastries, and the array of "Wedding Cakes!" The Chalet is a drift into a NeverLand, with an ancient (antique) huge mixing bowl stationed perfectly outside between a Few Watchful Gargoyles! Above the windows are several Military photos of Army or Marine men sending their "Smiling Thanks" for receiving such delights. This is "Heart Felt" yet everything about this place touches the heart. The cakes, pastries - everything crafted here is delicious - the proof are the continuous crowds and selections. Enjoy yourselves in the Gargoyle garden shaded by lovely trees or inside chatting to customers, while pursuing the artful Das Meyer Fine Pastry Chalet, a pleasure to drift back as a child, protected by the Gargoyles and sweets.

The person who helped us was pleasant and welcoming. She answered questions about various items. I like all the gargoyles scattered around the property. They also have an impressive plant that stretches in all directions across the ceiling. The cookies were delicious and our son really enjoyed his key lime. This was a lovely experience.

I bought a raspberry mousse and attempted to eat it and the first bite tasted like it had been sitting next to meat in a refrigerator for days. The mousse itself left a waxy coating on my tongue. The icing shell did the same. The Mille-Feuille was over cooked and had old whipped cream inside and on top. The waxy coating of the tongue occurred there too. The strawberry atop the dessert was so old I believe it would have been an issue for the health department. I couldn't eat or drink any of it. I am appalled by what they sold me. This place charges quite a bit for the trash they serve up. AVOID. The owner accused me of lying after I wrote the above review on google. Instead of apologizing for the $50 I essentially set on fire, they denied and lied. Makes me question the legitimacy of the positive reviews. Then denied they use syrup in their lemonade? Not sure about you but have "natural" ingredients ever turned your juice bright red without any pulp? To the owner: Precisely! Why would I write a lie? It makes no sense to concoct lies when I have literally nothing to gain from it.

Their status as a preferred vendor at Black Canyon Inn is well-deserved; they already had a great relationship with the venue, and even have several types of displays for couples to pick from, permanently on-site. This made the whole process so seamless. As a baker myself, I knew I couldn't create anything as impressive as what I wanted for our wedding. I was most excited to choose our baker, and Gingerly Baked exceeded all my expectations. It was so important to me that our cake was not only delicious but also a spectacular centerpiece. They listened to every detail and were so easy to work with on the customization. The result was a stunning and delicious cake, along with an array of amazing bites that our guests are still gushing about. If you're looking for a wedding baker who is not only talented but also an excellent listener, look no further. We absolutely loved them and can't recommend them enough! First off, she was so accommodating doing a SECOND take away tasting for us, as we had some family members who wanted to participate in the fun. During our in person tasting she was so personable and made the whole experience a blast. Everything we tried was better than the last and it was so hard for us to narrow down on a selection. (Though I think our personal favorites were the pecan squares and the fruit tarts. We also went with the take 5 cake which was unbelievable) Second, she was so amazing in working with us to make us exactly what we wanted, as we went an untraditional route with a small cake for just us and pastries for our guests. Lastly, her set up on the day of the wedding was absolutely beautiful. We decided to buy our own stands and she provided us with links and recommendations on what to get and the final product with all of her delicious goodies on them was so perfect. My only complaint is that she doesn't have a storefront where I could eat her goodies year round. Do yourself a favor and go with gingerly baked for your next event. You won't regret it!
