Yes, this is a Wedding and more Bakery, Protected by The Gargoyles, in business since 1983! Still family owned, Ali is the lovely family member I spoke with, there was so much to see besides the scrumptious, pastries, and the array of "Wedding Cakes!" The Chalet is a drift into a NeverLand, with an ancient (antique) huge mixing bowl stationed perfectly outside between a Few Watchful Gargoyles! Above the windows are several Military photos of Army or Marine men sending their "Smiling Thanks" for receiving such delights. This is "Heart Felt" yet everything about this place touches the heart. The person who helped us was pleasant and welcoming. She answered questions about various items. I like all the gargoyles scattered around the property. I bought a raspberry mousse and attempted to eat it and the first bite tasted like it had been sitting next to meat in a refrigerator for days. The mousse itself left a waxy coating on my tongue. The icing shell did the same. The Mille-Feuille was over cooked and had old whipped cream inside and on top. The waxy coating of the tongue occurred there too. The strawberry atop the dessert was so old I believe it would have been an issue for the health department. I couldn't eat or drink any of it. I am appalled by what they sold me. This place charges quite a bit for the trash they serve up. AVOID. The owner accused me of lying after I wrote the above review on google. Instead of apologizing for the $50 I essentially set on fire, they denied and lied. Makes me question the legitimacy of the positive reviews. Then denied they use syrup in their lemonade? Not sure about you but have "natural" ingredients ever turned your juice bright red without any pulp? To the owner: Precisely! Why would I write a lie? It makes no sense to concoct lies when I have literally nothing to gain from it.

I ordered the cannoli and a slice of cake. the cannoli? stale, the crust was moist. no crunch that you'd expect from a cannoli. tell tell sign that its been sitting out for too long. The cake? starting to dry from being out all day. if you are going to sell stale pastries, at least offer a discount. For a stale cannoli that price is insulting. I really wanted to like this place, but my opinion of them went quickly sour, no STALE after the first few bites. EDIT: why in Gods name are you selling something left out even close to 72 hours for full price

I am wondering if anyone noticed a slight young mother and her young daughter sitting outside the front doors today. The little girl had a sad shy look on her face. I've been thinking about them. I have never done a review before but today was the last straw. I was looking for Dasanti water. None on the shelf so when checking out I asked if they were not going to carry this brand because this was the third time there were none on the shelf. I was told to check with customer service so I did. He called someone and and this gentleman said are you sure there aren't any over there and suggested I go back and look. I had already checked out so I would have to leave my cart. I told him I would not be able to carry it due to the weight of the water pack. (I am a 82 year old woman) In other stores I have seen the checker send someone to check stock instead of sending the customer looking for it. They were not busy!

We finally decided to check out the shopping and dining district. Rheinlander was our final (and best!) stop. The bakery dates back to 1963 and is now on the third generation of ownership. The quality is certainly being maintained at a high level. This is a traditional, German bakery with a huge variety of authentic European cakes, cupcakes, sweet and savory pastries, pies, cookies, coffee cakes, and the only reason I think a German bakery should exist--strudel! Strudels are available whole, half, or by the slice. The usual flavors are apple, cherry, blueberry cream cheese, cherry cream cheese, and Boston cream. We bought slices of the apple, cherry, and blueberry cream cheese. These were perfection and absolutely delightful. I was totally focused on the strudel case (yes, there's a lot of strudel on offer), but I believe there are eight huge cases of treats, each one looking more enticing than the next. Quite a few gluten-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free options are available, so if that's what you need, this is the place for you. The bakery was moderately busy during our visit. There was plenty of staff and they were all friendly, helpful, and very efficient, so purchases moved swiftly. Lots of coffee and drink options are available. There's nice outside seating if you can't wait to take your goodies home. It's a long drive for us, but we were really impressed and we'll find a reason to visit Arvada so we can stop back soon. Yum.

Their status as a preferred vendor at Black Canyon Inn is well-deserved; they already had a great relationship with the venue, and even have several types of displays for couples to pick from, permanently on-site. This made the whole process so seamless. As a baker myself, I knew I couldn't create anything as impressive as what I wanted for our wedding. I was most excited to choose our baker, and Gingerly Baked exceeded all my expectations. It was so important to me that our cake was not only delicious but also a spectacular centerpiece. They listened to every detail and were so easy to work with on the customization. The result was a stunning and delicious cake, along with an array of amazing bites that our guests are still gushing about. If you're looking for a wedding baker who is not only talented but also an excellent listener, look no further. We absolutely loved them and can't recommend them enough! First off, she was so accommodating doing a SECOND take away tasting for us, as we had some family members who wanted to participate in the fun. During our in person tasting she was so personable and made the whole experience a blast. Everything we tried was better than the last and it was so hard for us to narrow down on a selection. (Though I think our personal favorites were the pecan squares and the fruit tarts. We also went with the take 5 cake which was unbelievable) Second, she was so amazing in working with us to make us exactly what we wanted, as we went an untraditional route with a small cake for just us and pastries for our guests. Lastly, her set up on the day of the wedding was absolutely beautiful. We decided to buy our own stands and she provided us with links and recommendations on what to get and the final product with all of her delicious goodies on them was so perfect. My only complaint is that she doesn't have a storefront where I could eat her goodies year round. Do yourself a favor and go with gingerly baked for your next event. You won't regret it!
