One could argue that the ice cream market is positively saturated in Gloucester County. There is just razor thin margins in the ice cream game here. That said, Spilt Milk is at least a solid contender in the Ice Cream Wars. The owner was a very pleasant man that chatted us up while we ate. They have a TON of flavors, and threw samples out like beads at Mardi Gras. They make their waffles right in front of you to order, and build the desserts in plain sight, with very organized ingredients. The building resides in a strip mall, and is small but spacious enough, and has good parking. Although due to a sign that was facing the WALL and not the clients, I didn't see that they have CREPES, I AM excited to try that the next time I'm passing through. They are good, but not good enough for me to drive past 6 other ice cream spots on my way over there, but if they are in your neck of the woods, definitely give them a try.

Right below the price it states, " includes one wet topping, whipped cream and a cherry". I requested strawberries on my sundae. When the counter person rang up the sundae, he said the price was $8.05, which seemed high but paid. While enjoying my sundae I thought about the price. After calculations the price of the sundae, $7.25, plus NJ sales tax, $0.50 at 6.825%, totals $7.75. Therefore, I questioned the $0.30 additional charge for my sundae. When I inquired as to the additional $0.30 the counter person said I had strawberries which are $0.30 additional. Nowhere on the menu board was this fact stated. Also, what is a strawberry sundae without strawberries? When I asked why the only response i got was to contact the owner Brian Crean. I asked if Mr. Crean was present and was told he was not. I asked for contact information for Mr. Crean and was told they would not give it to me. I asked if they had a problem how do they contact Mr. Crean. Savannah offers job, social & life skill opportunities to adults with disabilities by employing them. Some of, if not most of her staff, are disabled adults getting the chance to learn how to work and speak to customers professionally. I was able to witness her coaching a staff member through our transaction today, She is truly kind and so patient. It was a lovely experience. I picked up 6 cake bombs (I think thats what they were called), A S'mores cookie, and a massive chocolate brownie. I would have gotten a lot more baked goods, however the only other option was cupcakes and I'm just not a cupcake person. They seemed to be almost cleared out by the time I could make it in! The cake bombs were moist inside, the brownie was soft, chewy, and chocolatey, and the cookie was fresh and soft. The building is cute with hand painted murals on the windows that correspond to the current holidays/seasons. A few picnic tables outside with buckets of chalk for the kids to draw on the concrete and corn hole! I only wish I had some shade to sit under out there, it was hot and bright today. An umbrella or 2 would be just perfect. I will return to have some ice cream, and I look forward to trying more stuff once available!
