It's also interesting to see that Sarah (the manager of the daycare) wrote her own review on yelp to boost up Camp Countryside Doggie Daycare's ratings. The dog in yelp user "Sarah C's" picture is the same dog with the same collar in Sarah's bio on the Countryside daycare website. I mean.... Over the weekend I received a bill for $34.00, which I thought was some type of cruel joke. We called and spoke to Darlene, who was kind and apologetic and said the $34 was for his last day of daycare (the day which they not-so-politely told me and my dog to get lost). I have receipts and credit card statements that prove I do not owe them anything and Darlene confirmed we do not owe Countryside any money and did not know why this bill was sent to us. Thank you Darlene for being professional and nice. This one star is for Darlene because she is the only positive aspect about this company. To this day, by far the worst business interaction I have ever had.

I got out of the car, brought Rusty with me, and all I had to do was see the smile on Lizz'a face when she saw Rusty and I. Everything melted away. She took Rusty and I in the back where he smelled EVERYTHING. Lizz could tell I was relieved of any tenacious nerves that I had. We stayed in the back yard and her husband brought out their dog, Zajka. She was so great to my Rusty! I've never ever felt more comfortable and connected with dog people before. The inside of the home is clean as well! Rusty still smelled out the whole place. (He's a Bloodhound) He had a look of peace on his face. I couldn't be happier. After talking for what seemed to be 2 hours of laughing and fun, I would absolutely suggest Home Away From Home. Not only for my Rusty, but for your fur child, too!!! Much love!!!

This location does not seem to follow the national guidelines. Doggy day cares should have a minimum of 15 to 1 dog to boarder ratio based on active dogs. Most day cares are 10 to 1. Most Boston Dog locations have a minimum 20 to 1 ratio (possibly larger) which is too high unless all dogs are considered not active! What dog is not active, especially younger dogs? None! After having evaluated the Chelmsford location, I have decided that this location doesn't warrant a good review. The manager of Boston Dog Company at Chelmsford does not seem to really care about the dogs; it's a business, that's all. If you want a caring day care, don't go here.
