PP was to be on vacation during the week of Labor Day weekend and suggested I again leave my dog with SFK. I called well over a month in advance and booked a week for boarding. Kathy said NOTHING ABOUT NEEDING a current shots records on Wikka. (I had been in a car accident Mar 2015 and am having speech and short term memory problems so I forgot about a shots record and up to date shots) Again I talked to Kathy the day BEFORE I was to board WIkka and she mentioned NOTHING about a shots records. The day of boarding I called Kathy as I was running late and again she mentioned NOTHING about shots. Once I arrived and WIkka was boarded Kathy ask for the SHOT RECORDS. I stated I had not brought any with me as she had not asked for the records. The old ones were with AofA and she had not been to my current Vet. Kathy informed me that Wikka was overdue all her shots (she had the paper records from before laying on her desk so she KNEW Wikka was overdue but neglected to tell me after 3 phone calls!) and esp the Bordello that took 2 wks to get into her system to protect her and therefore SHE WOULD NOT BE KEEPING WIKKA period. I WAS SHOCKED!!!!!! My hubby and I were leaving that afternoon to go to Pa to see our daughter and grandsons. He had already taken off work, the motel was booked for that night and the lady to feed the cats had been paid $50. In cancelling WIKKA's boarding Kathy explained she was doing me the favor of NOT charging me Wikka's fee and saving her from getting bordello from the dogs she keeps (made no sense as she doesn't board dogs w/o the shot apparently). I left crying and upset as I now had to call my hubby who lost a days pay from work, $200 for the motel cancellation as they require 48 hrs notice of cancellation and the $50 to the lady for the cats who gave up her weekend to tend to my cats. We are out over $350!!!!!! This is outrageous as IF SFK had stated the shots records were required when I called the 1st time, I would have taken Wikka for the shots and there would have been NO problem in boarding her and my vacation would NOT have had to be cancelled! I DO NOT RECOMMENT THIS KENNEL as they are neglectful of information you may need to board there and have NO understanding and DO NOT care that they inconvenience YOU or cost you MONEY when the boarding is CANCELLED without notice. I will NOT be doing business there again!

The second time (And most recent) I took my dog in, i made sure to check his ears before leaving and they said "It's difficult to get it most of the time" as if that's a reason they shouldn't provide a service I've paid for and expect. Also I paid for the top dog package which included nail grinding and as it was the first time ever getting his nails ground I wasn't sure if it was done so I went in to double check and I could tell one of the groomers wasn't entirely sure which troubled me. All in all they do a pretty good job in a quick time.

I recently decided to go to Shaggy to Chic Grooms LLC. on lakeside because it was closer to home and had a horrible experience. I decided to put a review on their Facebook page and was harassed the whole time. Had the owner message me, stating I was never a costumer and she never groomed my dogs. As I was providing proof I went back to the Facebook page and dropped the review to a 2 star. As being insulted wasn't enough from the owner one of her employees decided to put up messages under the Review blaming me for not providing the right information. Being bombarded from the employee and the owner was very unprofessional and insulting so I took off the review so they would stop harassing me. I felt like I wasn't valued as a customer, like they had no care about how they groomed my pets. If I receive two dogs with hair patches all over their body's and a husky that had chunks of hair falling out after I paid for a hair treatment package. I believe, I'm allowed to put up a review without basically being called a liar and have the blame thrown in my face. The reason I'm adding this horrible experience to this review page, I want people to know that you may have a bad experience at Shaggy to Chic. In conclusion I highly recommend Stephs Bubbles and Bows you will never experience such cruel behavior.

Ive had my dogs all groomed here for years! my appointment tomorrow (April 23rd) is at 1230. I received a reminder text on April 21st at 923 am saying they needed my dogs uploaded rabies vaccines. I CALLED FIVE TIMES ALL DAY AND NOT A SINGLE PERSON ANSWERED! I LEFT A MESSAGE! NOT A SINGLE CALL BACK ALL DAY! I asked for their fax number to see where I could have my vets send the paperwork to as my vet office has a 24-48 hour records release time frame! by the way, the last time I was there a few months ago it was immediately after both their vet visits and I had the paperwork on me! I asked the receptionist to scan them and she said oh you're not due! no worries we don't need them! now 3 months later, it's April and they need them immediately. after the reminder text I got today at 1003am, with still no call back, I got another reminder message that they needed my records. so I responded with, "I think I need to cancel Bella's apt as I'm not sure I can get the record by 1230 tomorrow." the receptionist didn't cancel my apt but instead said, "she thought I'd get her the documents and kept my apt." all of this to say, when I told her I can't get her the documents in time she responded with, you're gonna get charged a rescheduling fee of $25. are you kidding me? then went on to say they were having phone troubles. ok so wait, you're having business issues that interfer with customers being able to manage what you require for them to come, AND CUSTOMERS ARE SUPPOSED TO PAY FOR THIS? NOT INTERESTED. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FIND ANOTHER GROOMER, THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT CONSISITENT. I wish I could upload our text messages, because they even said while trying to charge me, "a lot of customers are really upset, you're not the only one." Oh that's so smart to charge them then lol for your business issue's. Great business tactic lol we shall see how many stay! Update: Owner responded by posting a Google Drive link instead of addressing the issue directly. That alone speaks to their communication style.

Her tone of talking to me was brisk. She was forceful and not calm at all. There were multiple grooming tables that were not cleaned. I saw one puppy on a table and there was a lot of hair on the floor everywhere. I had a bad feeling immediately, but I left my pup for grooming. Well, I think they got my dog upset. They called me soon after and said they were unable to groom since he was too jumpy. They said the groomer was experienced. But they left him with a bare shaved place on back hind quarters and they stopped. I just don't think they had the patience or felt like fooling with a pup that day. *** Well soon after I made an appointment for grooming at a totally different groomer. My dog was bathed, and fully groomed with a short cut, around the face, ears and all !!! They said he did good. No problems!!! So I do not care for Precious Paws.
