I had Imperial Home Inspections (atrevor May) do an inspection on a home I was purchasing. The…read moreinspection came back same day. The inspection report was missing items I would have expected to see in it. 1. Trevor missed one of the A/C units installed at the home. When I spoke to him and asked about it, he agreed there was a second unit at the home but neglected to include it in the report because he could not find the year of it so he chose to leave it out of his report with no mention of it. 2. A very LARGE amount of dry rot was missed all around the entire roof. Which is Easily visible from inside the attic, I spent 30 seconds in that attic and was able to easily spot it. This is an item I specifically asked Trevor about - he said it looked good! (No pics were provided ofcourse) 3.No pictures were taken of the thermostat; he indicated he typically takes a picture of the thermostat but must have forgot this time. 3. Pictures provided in the report were bad quality and not easy to see. 4. Lastly, the water pressure was visually inspected. Any inspections I've received previously, measured the water flow at one of the water outlets with a gauge. 1 star due to the reasons I mentioned above. Communication from him went directly to my realtor instead of me. I had to call him to establish communication about the report. I would not chooseTrevor or this company again for any sort of inspection, unless you are the SELLER and hope the inspector ignores and misses items of importance that should be part of an inapection. I do not recommend Trevor May / Imperial Home Inspection Services.

Ian asked multiple questions about the type of inspection we were looking for, what type of system we had, and what our expectations for the inspection were, then actually recommended a different specialist inspector who he believed would be able to provide the service we were looking for. I will definitely be sure to recommend Ian and Calview to friends who are looking for inspection services!

This guy is very dedicated in providing exceptional services. I needed someone who could be available the next 3 or 4 days upon my request. Once inspections were done, he walked us through very detailed information about the home we were planning to buy. So glad that he offered Venmo as a payment method. He even offered suggestions and tips on how to fix minor deficits of the home. He was local in Oroville and his rates are fair. I've asked for different quotes in other area, but it was too expensive. If you are local in Oroville or Butte County, I recommend Rob. One of the most honest and knowledgeable guy.

Last summer (of 2021) we needed to have the roof of our detached garage replaced. After obtaining…read moreseveral bids, Baird was by far the most reasonable. They came out and did a great job; so when a tree fell onto our house during a storm in October, Baird was the first call I made. Our neighbor covered the hole in the roof the best he could with a tarp he had, but rain was still leaking into the house. I called Priscilla at Baird for help and Eric (one of their crew) came out in the rain and covered the roof with a larger tarp, saving us from further damage inside the house. When the rains stopped, Wayne was terrific in getting us scheduled right away for the repair work and roof replacement even though half of his crew was out sick. Our roof sustained substantial structural damage from the tree and the Baird guys were terrific in rebuilding and reroofing. It took a couple of days, but at the end of each day they were meticulous in cleaning up any debris around the house. Thank you Priscilla, Wayne, Eric and the rest of the crew for a job well done! Jim inspected our house for our buyers and the list was so long and it was hard to take without some level of frustration. However, it is that attention to detail that makes him such an amazing inspector. When it was time to buy our next house my wife and I both remembered Jim. He found things that the specialized inspectors (HVAC, Pest) didn't. He is so very thorough. When your home inspector takes you to a living room to show you that the glass door on a fireplace is a little loose and makes it hard to close the door, you know you're getting the full picture. When walking through the property with Jim he did his best to show us the issues, but also to show us the improvements. He made it clear which things were important, and which were just stuff he noticed as he went through every inch of the house. I cannot recommend Jim and Greens Building Inspections enough!
