Worth the 6-hour round trip drive from up north! We immediately received a warm greeting from Desiree. David and Todd were friendly and professional. We felt right at home with them. They made every effort to explain their review process. It was important to them that we left as satisfied customers, getting the best deal as possible. I also appreciated how fast they were considering all the coin we brought in. We had a great experience and would highly recommend the Coin Connection to anyone needing their service! read more

Unfortunately, I have to say believe the bad reviews on this place. Super shady store. I went in with a piece of jewelry that I know to be valuable. I've had recent appraisals. Not only did they tell me my item wasn't valuable, but they were also extremely rude. I actually felt embarrassed for them. If you have a valuable item, avoid this place. read more

the woman who works there had been so friendly and wonderful, I have brought them some great stuff. And then today hung up on me even after I texted her and said I was gonna be late and said to me "this conversation is over" that is horrible customer service and just bad business etiquette. read more

They were very kind, professional, and quick. My coin was appraised and sold in a matter of minutes, for a very fair price! Would recommend!

Had a great experience! This place has been in business at this location for years. It was easy to sell a pile of silver coins, and gold jewelry that have been in the family for years. They really know their stuff. read more

Brought a collection of Morgan and Peace silver dollars that my late mother had collected since her childhood. Sat with David as he carefully studied each coin where he then offered a fair price for the whole collection. I had a couple of gold bars to sell. David was very friendly and professional. So were Desiree and Todd. No pressure at all. He offered me a very fair and competitive price for them. Would highly recommend the Coin Connection. read more

I had some coins that i had to sell and i called about 10 different stores. Coin connection gave me the highest price on the phone. Two days later i showed up at their store and they told me the price had dropped but they honored the price they had given me in the phone! I was so happy because in my situation a dollar is a dollar. The young lady who helped me " Jacqueline " was lovely. The owner came out and was so nice and so friendly. I had a good time just chatting with them all. I just love little businesses that are professional, honest and pleasant to deal with. Definitely recommend this place. read more

I wish I would have read End F.'s review before going here. I had 50 silver dollars. I got them for my grandpa before he passed away. I wanted to go see how much they were worth. Because I'm behind of my rent. The guy offered me $21 for each one of them. When I asked him how much they were worth he told me I'll give you $21 for them. Reluctantly I accepted cause my owner was on me about the rent. I sold 38 of them. I thought I can keep the other 12. But it wasn't enough so I had to sell them. When in the 2nd time the owner was rude no greeting. He didn't acknowledge me until I spoke up. He looked at the coins through one of them back at me. And said" I'll give you 20 bucks each that's all there worth." I wouldn't take anything of value there their policies to act like everything's worthless. I stupidly excepted cause I needed the money that day. They didn't even bother telling me how much they were worth. Come to find out I can sell them to another place for $34.75 each. They screwed me out of $700 They couldn't be honest with me. He specifically avoided telling me what they're worth. Only what they would pay me for them. Truth is they don't want to tell you what they're worth. So they can make the most profit on the purchase. I'd be happy to give them all their money back all $900 If I can get those coins back. But the owner wouldn't except that. The profit he made on deceiving me out of my grandpa's coins is to much to do the right thing. At this point I don't even want to sell them anymore now that I didn't know how it felt to have gotten rid of them. My grandpa was happy to give them to me when he did I felt ashamed to have to sell them. He made a shady deal, you'd think he would be willing to sell them back to me. If i repayed him the money he paid me for them. 818-414-33xx. you have the last two digits read more

Excellent service! The staff was very helpful and kind. They had a great selection of coins!

I found old coins my German grandmother has given my mother who gave them to me. I had no idea what they were worth or the importance of any. Sure enough. Several were worth some $$. I did my homework first, went in to speak with the owner, and I was in and out in 20 minutes. The owner knows his business!! read more

This place is so so amazing. I was referred by someone, cant remember who but now i can see why. They're helpful and kind unlike most Jewelry or trade shops. The girl who helped me (will update with her name) is amazing and so is Todd. I brought in a sentimental gold necklace and knew I needed x amount of money so I didn't know even know exactly what to do when I walked in. After talking a bit, I opened up to them how lately things been hard for me and mine. Todd made every effort to accommodate me and made sure I was going to be good and happy with my service. Many businesses see $ and numbers so it's refreshing knowing its people like these two on this planet. Cant thank these two enough. *side note, they also have lots of cute jewelry* read more

I'm so happy to have revised Coin Connection today. They are now my Local coin shop. Got burned by a few others, so I hesitated seeking local shopping. Davis and Todd are my heroes. I felt fair trading and I shall return many time to them. Jeff T. read more

I came in on a Friday afternoon to get a case of old coins appraised with a view to selling them. Todd & his staff here couldn't have been more helpful, polite, and genuine in the service they gave. They explained the items that were higher in value, and details of what else was in the collection. All up I was very pleased with the price I walked away with and the manner & speed that I received. If you're in the market to sell any old collection of coins, I couldn't think of a better place to go. read more

We absolutely love the Coin Connection. We have known David and Desirea for many many years, and trust them implicitly. Had a very good experience yesterday at Coin Connection. I went in to get a valuation on a small old coin collection I had. David and Todd reviewed my collection. They were very respectful and clearly had extensive experience, knowledge and interest in numismatics. I was not planning on selling my collection at that time, just wanted to know how much it would be worth to a coin dealer. They me me what I considered to be a fair and reasonable offer for my collection and I ended up agreeing to sell the collection to them. Go see them if you're looking to sell rare coins. read more

My wife and I stopped in today to sell some gold and silver coins from an estate. It was a pleasure working with David. The price was very fair and the overall experience was great. David and Desersa and the others at Coin Connection are the absolute best I have ever seen at any coin shop that I have ever been too. No lie or exaggeration they really are the absolute best. Economists Robert Kaski and Jim Rickards are pleading that the public prioritize collecting precious metals as the most tangible method to safeguard one's money in this horrible economy and Coin Connection is the only place that you should be doing this. My dad passed and had amassed a fairly decent coin collection over the years. I took a sample of the collection to one of the larger coin dealers and was told there was nothing of value except the melt price of silver. I knew this was wrong. After researching other dealers in the Valley, I decided to call Coin Connection. I spoke with Todd who said to come in and he'd take a look. All I can say is that the experience was seamless and extremely fair. Todd looked at every coin, counted all of the silver coins in books and made a very fair offer. I donated a lot of items, including a gold Super Bowl coin since Todd indicated they like to give children a keepsake. I will find more items to donate to them. Besides coins, they have an excellent selection of jewelry at very fair prices. I highly recommend Coin Connection. They are honest, fair, very knowledgeable, and make you feel like part of the family. I will be going there to find some hidden gems. Side note: I had a Byzantine coin that Todd wasn't too familiar with. He said Paul is the expert. It was in really bad shape, but my dad got it when we lived in Africa in the 1960's. It wasn't worth much except for sentimental value. This was also donated. read more

This Store and the owners are the greatest I buy every week from them!! The selection is incredible the quality the prices everything!

My father and I recently visited to get some information on some gold jewelry and coins we had. I did my research beforehand and went to one other place in Pasadena for a quote. Not only did Paul give us at least 10% more than what I was quoted at the other place but he gave us a little "education " about the pieces we had. He is very fair and tells you exactly the percentage he takes of the sale. He's extremely knowledgeable. I truly appreciate his old school demeanor and sense of humor! This will be our go to place! Thanks Paul and Lori. Xoxo read more

Went in with a lot of coins. Old, U.S., all well worn. Wasn't expecting millions but of course as a layperson you always secretly hope for that holy grail of a coin. Called ahead. Even sent a spreadsheet that cataloged each coin, year, mint mark. Long story short, spent a decent amount of time there and felt that I was treated fairly. But within the first five minutes almost walked out. Owners/brothers got into a very unprofessional yelling match. In an office, screaming "@$$hole!," "f&cking @$$hole!," etc. Slammed the door hard enough to knock a picture frame off the wall. Massively uncomfortable but seeming not too surprising to the rest of the employees. At the end of my visit, after everything was calculated, one brother came over to check the calculations and ended up devaluing a group of coins. They're the expert, I wasn't going to argue. They're there to make money, too. But was there an ounce of bad mood in his evaluation? Who knows. But probably won't be bringing anything else around for appraisal without checking the volatility of the room first. read more
