took my 14mo today and first off all the staff are very nice and welcoming. my son had just woke up from a nap and was a little cranky that we were throwing him in the pool. But the Instructor Robert was very gentle and patient and spoke to my baby in a soft tone. I was invited in to the pool to make my son more comfortable and they explained fo make his experience more enjoyable and it didn't feel forced like a come get your crying son way. He did warm up after a bit and Robert was very commutative and detailed in the lessons and gave great tips. The water was warm and clean. Front desk was very informative and answered all my questions and even still checked us in after calling we'd be late. The place does need a little TLC but you're not swimming on the walls so get over that. the reviews are a little harsh and you need to go with your own open mind and remember people expect a lot from the simplest things. I felt very comfortable bringing my baby for his intro lesson and excited to come back

My son been attending the class here for the past 2 months. And he loves it... the instructor is Ms. Kea. She is amazing!!! One time we couldnt make it, and ive been calling them and leave message. It was hard to reach them but they did reach out to me. And reschedule for the make up class. For that ill give 5 stars...

Ok so I read the reviews and saw the low ratings. But I took a leap of faith anyway, so glad I did! Have to say the swim teachers are super amazing and my daughter really enjoyed the classes, she actually started swimming on the second class was so excited to see her progressing so fast. I have recommended mr. Stephen To friends who also need their 5 year olds to ditch the Floaties . Thank you mr.Stephen for teaching my daughter an invaluable life skill.

Emails will get a response in 2 days...HILARIOUS! This email does not "entitle" you to a makeup lesson, who says that???

Have been here over a year and it gets worse as each month progresses. THIS PLACE IS EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED!!!!GIOVANNI THE OWNER IS NEVER AVAILABLE, only talks when looking for money. Can't get a hold of anyone on the phone and emails are a joke. All of our favorite instructors have left. I loved the instructors, which kept us around but management sucks. Giovanni will only talk to you when you're signing up. He said we're not making any money and we're changing the program that's the reason for increase in price. So $75 annual registration is for a swim cap and a book, that's more than my son's daycare!!! Wow. Can only schedule makeups in person (then they'll say they have none available and try emailing) email back and forth only to have owners daughter Jenny not understand anything, and you'll get a response in maybe 5 days. I've had numerous cancellations and changes of instructions. They require 24 hour cancellation or no makeup session yet they can change classes and instructors on you the same day and you just accept it? I had them cancel a class 20 minutes before a lesson and then the girl has the audacity to say not 1 breathe after "sorry your instructor is canceled.... now when do you want to schedule your makeup?" I told her, I'm irritated right now that you messed up our lesson, I don't want to reschedule anything with you.

I appreciate the fact that the upper management really hands on in solving my scheduling issue…read more Pros: Indoor Instructors quality and patience Online system Great Phone customer service Cons: Costly Complicated online scheduling system Any cancellation will automatically revert to "make-up" class Some lessons are automatically cancelled by the company Limited Male instructors availability Not allowed in the water before the class time. Tips: just try ur best not to reschedule your class time to avoid confusion and misunderstanding of the policy I was glad finding an indoor swimming class, esp since Im a LA FITNESS member. I dont mind the high price too, even thou its almost as expensive my kids' private figure skating/ ice hockey lesson. What i do mind was the frustration from the scheduling system. I purchased 4 lessons package and scheduled my 3 kids lesson back in May. The extra 1 lesson was converted to make up class because I canceled 1 future lesson. A month later i saw the make up lesson was gone, and i was reading the "help" section that I need to pay another class so that the make up credit will be available. In which i did (so now i have 1 make up lesson and 1 paid lesson) I have 3 kids and i want them to have an equal chances to any activity, so i ended up paying 3 extra lessons and scheduled them back to back (at this point i have 1 make up lesson and 4 paid lessons). Next morning, i found out one of the class was cancelled, and i called the customer service. Thankfully she was helpful and she helped me in scheduling my kids lesson around. I wanted to use all of my lessons (paid or make up) so i wont need to worry about this complicated things anymore and will move forward finding other company. When i checked my online account, i noticed some of the classes were marked as make up lesson, and missing one class. I called again, and another rep saying i still have one paid lesson and that make up lesson is way of the company give it for free. How could it be for free when money already taken out from my account? Oh my GOSH. So frustrating! The reason i purchased 4 extra single lessons so that I can save time taking all of them together at the same time frame. Felt that I have to either let one class gone, or purchased more so i can scheduled all of them together again. Its your take, either you want to take in my review or not, but as a single mom with three kids and 2 jobs, dude, i work hard for my money (like anyone else) and for time off work to take them to activities, so I dont appreciate this back and forth confusion and complications. Another cons, as a first timer, we didnt know what to expect and noone greeted us when we arrived. I told my kids to go in 5 min prior to stretch in the water, on the side, so they wouldn't bother others, and that was not allowed. So for more than $29 lesson per 20 min, child should jumped in on the first minute, lesson, and out on the 20th min. The instructors Muna and Christian were good. I appreciate they let me know where my kids were in their skills.

Good and bad. Full disclosure my family used our school's…read morecharter funds to sign up our (then) 5 yr old for first time swim lessons. My child had zero experience swimming or being in a pool. I thought this would be a great way to use our funds and teach him pool safety. Fast forward to today, my son has since turned 7 this year, and he still does not know how to swim or even put his head under the water. Granted, we were not going consistently. But for the past 3 months we have taken him weekly. Before that we did 2 other months I believe. I thought, let's just keep trying, maybe it's just that he's scared and he'll learn if we stick it out. My child struggles with sensory issues and has not been interested in getting his face wet. He also has a harder time being around other kids in very close proximity which, he definitely is here. He did the group lessons for 30 mins and they're basically shoulder to shoulder most of the time. So, the good: when he first started he really liked the two different teachers that worked w/him. The class was usually just him and one other child. The location is clean, and the staff seemed friendly. My son also mostly enjoyed the time and being in the pool, so it was good for getting more experience around other kids, teachers and being in a new environment. The negative: the teachers rotate so you never know who you're going to get. So one teacher might know where your kid is at, but then a new person comes in the next week and it's like starting all over. It seems hard to build a comfortable relationship with the teachers because of this as well. Also, my son never progressed much at all. He moved to the larger pool this year and it's been 3 kids to 1 teacher. recently, however, there were 4 kids in the class. I timed it on my phone out of curiosity- to see exactly how much 1:1 time he got during that class. 4 mins and 9 seconds. Total. The class moved like a conveyor belt just shuffling the kids around, I couldn't believe the kids were getting less than 5 mins each with the teacher. The time in between their turn, they're just holding on to the edge of the pool waiting. My son felt very cramped and two other kids were being kids and having fun but disrupting the class, so the teacher's attention was mainly spent on telling them to stop doing what they were doing. My son was frustrated and felt like he wasted his time. He also had safety concerns because the kids were practically on top of him at times and kicking and splashing in his personal space, so I don't blame him. He's already afraid as it is. Today we went back and there were 4 kids again. He just didn't want to do it again. The kids seem to be on a hamster wheel. The teachers, though friendly, simply don't have adequate time to actually teach the kids anything solid. It's like busy work. I also had a strange phone conversation with the owner recently. to be frank, she kept trying to rush me off the phone and I kept having to say "oh, wait sorry" (nicely) because i had more than one question but she seemed bothered with me. She also didn't explain about making up a certain day and how many days I had to reschedule when my kid got sick. You only get one make up class for the whole year which seems odd to me. We already missed two classes due to vacation (1 planned reschedule) and sickness (she apparently gave us 7 days from the date of the class to reschedule but didn't actually communicate that to me- I found out from the girls at the front desk AFTER the fact and the 7 days passed, which was frustrating because I would have brought him in. I guess I was supposed to assume what she meant when she asked "what does he have??" As in asking what illness he had. I said idk, a cold I think? But wasn't sure. So she "made a note" on her end but never specified that I had to come in within 7 days to make it up. Which really was just a courtesy reschedule because they don't even offer that. So, oh well. Honestly though, even beyond all this, I could see and feel the judgement when I mentioned today that my kid was more easily overwhelmed and we would maybe look into one on one classes for the future. I got the impression that there was very little understanding or empathy there for my child, and my family and I felt brushed off. Bottom line, just not for us. 4 kids is too many for one pool. 4 mins is not enough time to give each kid when you're paying for 30. Maybe one on one classes are different, or with smaller groups, but I had too many incidents where I brought up a concern and felt dismissed. In the future we'll be going elsewhere but I'm bummed we went for so long with really not much to show for it. At the very least my kid got a little more comfortable being in the water but for paying about $400-$500 total and like 4-5 months of weekly classes? I would not say this was worth that time or money unfortunately.

I felt sorry for my sons because they loved it and wanted to continue their coding journey, but didn't want to do it online. So I SOS'd the Chino Hills location and spoke with Randy, the Director, who was awesome. He was attentive, responsive, detailed and reassured me we'd be in good hands. He was right! They welcomed my 2 boys (8 and 10) with open arms, seamlessly picking up where we left off, even though there was a curriculum transition. 6-7 months in, and they still continue to give my boys all the proactive attention needed to succeed. According to my boys, the environment is really fun and the staff is very helpful. I'm ok to drive from Eastvale and go here because it's a breath of fresh air to know they are learning something valuable in today's modern technology. Overall, the place is clean and welcoming. I highly recommend coding in person here at Code Ninjas Chino Hills, even if it's for one of their boot camps. My boys recently did the 3D printing and have done a Minecraft coding one before. Next, is the AI camp! There's plenty to choose from. Online just isn't the same when you have tactile attention from such a knowledgeable crew of Sensei's (Randy and Sebastian are their faves). It's also cool to watch them progress with performance markers that are introduced starting with white belt all the way to black belt. So if your kid is a beginner, don't be intimidated.
